Emo in Japanese is エモ

Many people under the sterotype "emo" like to believe that when they die they go on to a place called The Black Parade.

This was picked up in 2006's hit song "Welcome to the Black Parade" by My Chemical Romance and the video shows people of Emo Culture marching behind the band. It provides a sense of security in the emo community and unifies them.

As an Alternative/Emo/Scene/Punk whatever you want to call it I'd like to believe in the Black Parade even with no evidence to support it

I have lived in Australia for 8 years now & I am ready to leave because most Australians are rude, arrogrant people.

In answer to your question: Australians have a massive sense of entitlement to the land they occupy. The desperately cling to the notion that they come from a long line of outback heroes who toiled to develop, in their opinion, the greatest society on earth.

They see foreigners as a scapegoat to blame the degradation of this "great society" on.

The reality is however that there was no great society. Australians come from a long line of convicts & there society was full of all the typical issues that all other western societies face. To add to this Australia is built on foundations of the rape, murder & impoverishment of its original inhabitants, the Aboriginals.

So in a nutshell Australians are rude & racist because it's much easier to point the finger at foreigners for the so called degradation of a society than to look within at themselves. They are rude because there is a massive amount of guilt they must carry & will continue to do so until the open their eyes.

Discrimination against discrimination is lawful. That is, you look down on people who look down on other people, ie) You cannot put up a sign saying "Black/asian people not allowed" outside your pub, but you can put up a sign saying "Racists not allowed".

Actually your wrong, racism didn't exist until about the 1750's. Before then, people were never racist, just look at ancient greco-roman slavery and you'll see that they enslaved other caucasions, even African slave trade was driven by west African kingdoms.

People cant help what race they are, or where they came from. People judge them from things they cant control. Every race does it, so none can complain any more than the other. But it still makes one feel bad, low, ugly, and useless . It makes other people think they are nothing!

South Korea is a one race country, meaning every Korean believes he/she and all other Koreans are the same race. Chinese and Japanese have comparable attitudes.

Koreans in general are generally rude to other races. The amount varies.

There is no public naturalization procedure for a non-korean race person to become a citizen. Even Permanent Residenships are Very Rare, though work permits are common now.

The worst received in general by South Koreans are races from poorer countries.

Southeast Asians

Indians (Asia)

Arabs

Africans/Blacks (sorry, if you're black-american)

Eastern Europeans.

Latin Americans.

Then come

Chinese (some respect for history, but they're poorer than koreans now)

Japanese (Korea had to endure colonization and general meanness from them)

Then come the Caucasians.

Koreans have become more familiar with world politics now, and actually differentiate caucasians now. Before they all seemed the same to them.

But even after all that, they are all foreigners and will be treated as such.

I know this sounds harsh, arbitary, illogical, and stupid. But this is how it is. Most Koreans will never have a friend of a different nationality in his lifetime, even a resident Japanese or Chinese, so they end up depending on stereotypes, most of which, ironically, come from western media.

Maybe with years this might be fixed. I thought in the 70's that Koreans would improve by the new century, but change has unfortunately been slow.

I have written down a generalization of attitudes, this does not mean that the more educated and travelled Koreans feel this way, usually these people are embarassed by their own people, but a majority of Koreans ARE STILL THIS IGNORANT.

Try not to take too much offense, they just don't know better.

On the other hand, I could've lied and said like the Korea brochures that Korea is the friendliest country in the East. If you visit the country, you'll probably be treated better than as a stranger in most other countries of the world, but I wanted everyone to know that underlying that politeness and friendliness there underlies a somewhat different truth, which is knowledge I believe every visitor to Korea should know.
