symptoms are: you can hear the engine missing, spitting and sputtering, loss of power...you can tell if it is a coil pack by unscrewing the spark plug that it connects to coil pack. when you look at your spark plug it should be a light grayish, white..this means the coil pack is working....it is best if you do this with new spark plugs, because your spark plugs could be bad. but you do this process until you find a bad plug then, that coil pack probably is the bad coil pack.

The cam sensor is a flat plastic thing with a coil of wire in it that tells the computer what position the camshaft is in.

The shaft is a big rod with eccentrics on it also known as a bumpstick which pushes the engine valves open. It is the second largest rotating part in the engine. Do not break it.

i think it is attached to crank shaft behind it's sprocket. I took 4 screws that attache oil pump to engine but it wont come out cause crankshaft sprocket is in the way. do i have to pull the sprocket with 3 jaw puller? seems like I can't find any useful info.Waynes manual skips this step :(

Error code p0605 is related to the Transmission control module.

There is no turbo kit made for the stratus coupe. But there is a supercharger kit made by ripp mods. The difference is a turbo runs off exhaust gas and a supercharger is beltdriven. The engine in the coupe is a 6g72. The same engine comes in a twin turbo charged Mitsubishi 3000gt.

Start by looking at the control doors under the dash. It sounds like the door system is closing for some reason.

The Blower resistor should be tested which is located near the blower motor, the resistor is probably faulty.

For the Head gasket kit it is 99.99 and for just the head gasket it is 43.99 at advance auto

I tried all the fuses, the parts that under the brakes I checked that. All lights come on and working except the brake lights no break lights.

is the chysler town&country an interface engine 2.4 dohc

I would look at the trunk latch for a small lever that disables the remote release when you have the car valet parked. I'm not sure about Stratus, but many cars I have worked on have this feature. Have someone operate the lever in the car while you watch what the cable is doing at the latch. If that is the problem, you should be able to see it.

All body pieces for the 1995 through 2000 Stratus are interchangable. Also, most pieces between the Breeze and Cirrus from those years are interchangable as well. However, the tailights, bumpers, and other small pieces may not. Doors between all three cars are interchangable.

First you disconnect the battery, just in case. Then you remove the bottom plastic shroud from around the column. There are about six small bolts that hold this in. You will have access to the column at this point. Disconnect any of the wiring you can get to. There is a cable running to the bottom of the ignition, you need to unscrew the metal cap between it and the ignition and the cable will come free. Replace the cap so you don't lose it. There are four nuts holding the column up under the dash. Look underneath and you will see two on each side, one set just past the exterior of the dash and the other along the column closer to the floor. Remove those four bolts being careful not to drop the column on yourself. Remove any other wiring that may still be plugged in. This is where I am at. I haven't found anything that tells exactly how to separate the shafts. If I don't find anything I will pull out one of the U-joints and free it. Good luck. It's not that bad until you have to fight with the shaft :( I wish I had my husband's blow torch at this point ;) kidding.

Further note: I found a roller pin on the shaft just before the first U-joint connection. It is approximately 1/4 inch x 1 inch. Remove the roller pin by hammering it out with a hammer and screw driver. This can be a pain in the butt; however once the roller pin is out the steering wheel and top portion of the column easily pulls free from the lower half. I understand that the pin can also be drilled out with the right size and durability of a drill bit, but then you don't have a roller pin anymore. I would stick with the hammer. If I were to do this again, I would probably pull the roller pin out before removing the four nuts that hold the steering column up to the dash so the wheel isn't in the way when you are pulling the pin.

To reinstall the new column, do everything in reverse.

The airbag module is the computer and it is under the console inside the car.

You have to take off the cover of the interior door panel. Be careful with the plastic clips as they can break easily, they are cheap to replace. The cover on the inside of the mirror should pop off and there will some screws to take off as well. If yours has power windows then there will be a set of wires that just has to unclipped. Once all of that is done is should just fall off. The screws are what is holding it in place anyway. Good luck.

There is a valve that points straight up and has a black cap on it (looks like a tire valve). It is located on the fuel rail. It's just to the left (when facing the engine) of the fuel pressure regulator. The fuel rail is the chrome tube that feeds all 4 injectors. It's not easy to get to since there is a large black bracket with five 10mm bolts holding it down. One of the bolts is shared with the oil dipstick tube, if that helps.

the cam position sensor is part of the distributor and cannot be serviced seperately.

i had this problem when the check engine light was on, code says Camshaft Position Sensor is bad and also the code for bad Knock Sensor. these problems makes my 2000 Nissan Xterra stall and created knocking noise, after do some research. i called the dealer, they told me i have to replace to whole new distributor, which cost about $400. I call the shop names A.D.S ( Alternator, Distributor, Starter service ) they rebuilt my distributor for less than $100. problem solved. there is a small bearing inside the distributor that was bad........

There is a chance it has bent valves.
