It is pretty simple, except for removing the old part, which is frustrating because of the location of the part with the pedals in your way and the small, difficult latches that connect the switch box to the wiring box. Be sure to have a few small flathead screwdrivers and inspect the new part prior to removing the old one. Locate the switch by starting at the brake pedal and running up the shaft until you see a tab coming off the left side. There should be a switch contacting the tab that comes from a small, tan box just on the aft side of the tab. Rotate the switch box a quarter turn and you should be able to remove the box by pulling it back from its metal support. Now it should be hanging by a group of wires. The top end with the wires coming out is the section the replacement switch plugs into. The switch box itself is L shaped (look at your replacement part first), and the latches that connect to switch to the wiring are on the lower left side of the L if you were looking at the box as it is installed before removal. The 3 latches to the connection box are green, and are difficult to depress, especially in the cramped area with the pedals in your way. I used a small screw driver to get under the switch box, and wiggled it over the latches until the box popped loose. Simply plug the new part in, press the brake pedal in fully and hold, insert the switch into the metal support by putting the switch itself through the round hole and fitting the square end at the base of the switch and turning the unit a quarter of a turn until it snaps in place. Release the brake pedal. Done.

you need to crawl under and remove all the transmission pan bolts, and drop the pan into a fairly large container kinda messy job let all the fluid drain out, clean the gasket surface on the pan and wipe any metal shavings that get left in the pan as the transmission wears. put in a new filter,and gasket, bolt the pan back up make sure to tighten all bolts up evenly be careful not to cross thread or strip the housing (aluminum can strip easily) and add the proper transmission fluid through the dip stick tube. you need a skinny funnel. check the level with engine running in park or neutral and check for leaks see owners manual for amount of new fluid to add and shift through the gears a few times slowly till you feel the trans start to engage that should do it good luck l

first turn on the truck turn on ac if the fan doesnt turn then pull the harness and check for voltage if there is none check fuses and relays if there is then fan is bad

This truck has two fuel pumps. A low pressure electric pump and a high pressure mechanical injection pump. Both are on the left side of the engine. The injection pump can easily be seen with the hood open. The electric pump may be more easily seen from underneath the truck.

lift hood look at back of light threr is a twist lock simply twist to remove replace bulb and reinstall

I have just finished fixing the voltage regulator on a dodge Dakota pickup. The voltage regulator is located on the center of the firewall behind the engine, it is near the coil pack that hooks up to the distributor, its a silver box, kinda square held on with two screws, you can pickup a new regulator for like $15 if you get the generic one, piston ring in Canada was the cheapest but napa had a cheap one too

It is located on the driver side front fender behind the battery.

You have to drop the gas tank just 2 bolts holding the bands the fuel pump and gas gauge are a single unit pops right in not a bad job at all just be sure to use some kind of jack on the tank NAPA sold me the pump/guage unit for about 240.00

I have a 96 ram 1500, i had trouble getting the tank straps loose. I ended up removing the bed. It is held on by 6 bolts and i just lifted the bed up by the cab and propped it up with jack stands. The pump is right there in the top of the gas tank and took very little time to change.

Need to know what the symptoms are and any codes it has.

Any colour will do as long as they are conductors.

Usually, if i remember correctly, there are 3 buttons. One with an H, one with an M and one with a R. The H is Hour, the M is Minute, and the R is Reset. So you can use the buttons to change the time in the truck.

You should have You're normal ground from you're battery to the engine block a small secondary ground from you're battery to the radiator support. That one is about a 10 or 8 gage wire. You should also have a flat ground strap running from the back of the engine to the frame. The strap is sometimes through one of the bell housings bolts It is more out of the and less likely to get ripped off if it is fasten to the exhaust manifold bolts. Good luck!

It is probably a vacume issue.

sounds like the computer control module. Check with the local parts store and see if they will run the computer scan tool on your vehicle. most will at no charge. They want to sell you the repair parts. The type of tool is called an obd2. It is required to be there by law. usually in the cab on the drivers side under the dash. The test should isolate the problem. there are too many possiblities to go through all of them and the test would end up being run more than likely to find the problem. The dealer usually will charge for the test and an arm and leg for the parts. hope it helps. duboff

It is part of the engine computer, behind the battery.

Under the hood on the passenger side near the firewall there is a round plastig plug that has a plastic teather to keep from being lost. Pick up the plug and the diagnostic port is underneath.

You'll more than likely need to pop the axles out, remove the drive shaft. Remove the nut on the rear yoke and remove the rear yoke (puller). Than you can remove the rear differential by unbolting it behind the cover. this is very dellicate if you dont know what your doing dont do it, this is one of those things to take to a shop cause you can more damage trying to fix it

Short in the wiring or inside one of the plugs.

It can not be cleaned. It must be replaced.
