The aniotic fluid has many purposes other then protecting emybros and also annother reason why puppies whine when they are born is because they're cold. Puppies are born wet just like human babies are and wet fur can cause a puppy to shiver and of course "cry" because they were living in a warm enviroment in their mom's belly and then they had to come out into the open where the air feels cold and chilly and crying is the only way to say that they are cold. Puppies are just like human babies so they will constantly cry for when they are hungry, loney, tired, or whatever they need. And also they don't know where they are either since a puppy is born helpless and with tightly shut eyes they can't see nor smell or even feel their way around their new enviroment until they get older. Whenever it bites someones heal, give it a quick smack on the nose (not that hard) and look straight into its eyes and tell it "NO" "BAD DOG" And keep repeating that and the dog will soon realize that it is a bad thing and not to do it anymore.

So the color of both parents will play a role, and if either of THEIR parents had a different color, that will ALSO have some effect.Remember back in middle school and early high school when you had to do punnet squares? You can do a few of those, and find the chances of the puppies being a certain color. Remeber there are dominant and recessive colors.

All they want is stuff to chew on. Give him lots of bones, kong, tennis balls. This time is about the hardest when taking care of a shepherd puppy because they will have a strong urge to chew on EVERYTHING, even you. I have a neighbor that shved his pug in the middle of winter and the pug died of hyperthermia. Please caution when shaving animals. Some people do it because of allergys. However, If this is the case please ask you vet. Their are rx's to help the dandruff. Please don't shave dogs un- appriapate matter. It seems cruel and they are helpless. There are certain breeds of dogs that should not be shaved and your German Shepherd is one of them. If you got the dog from the ASPCA and the dog has a lot of mats they will often shave the dog close to the skin. If your groomer did it or you did it .... shame! I have a Bichon Frise that has very curly hair like sheeps wool and I just had her shaved down (but not right to the skin) or else she gets very hot. It's late spring where I live and the weather is warmer. The above poster is correct in saying that dogs should never be shaved close during winter months. It might make his life cooler now that summer is here, but remember, dogs have their natural coats for a reason. When you remove their coats you have to watch them in the sun. They can be overheated and become sun burned just like humans.

a blood line limit is a limmit that you can breed aline of famlies so lets say you breed your dog with another and you have puppys well you can only breed your dog with the puppys a certain number of times so you can only breed the same blood line a certain number of times.

Don't buy puppies from a puppy farm because you never know what it's been through and it could have a mental illness's got my beagle from RSPCA i would advise that because they already get checked by a vet and they get their shots and they get micro chipped sometimes they are already potty trained my Maisey when I got her had all of that :) Good Luck finding D
