Name the parts which can fix or slide on the lathe bed?

The tailstock, turret Stock, and steady rest are capable of sliding and/or being fixed on the bed! The Tailstock to center the workpiece, and help prevent deflection. The turret stock to perform work on the end of the workpiece, the steady rest can be fixed neat the end of a long workpiece to stabilize it for work. And then there's the follow rest which can be fixed (bolted) to the saddle (so now it slides) opposite the tool bit to prevent deflection when turning in the middle of a long workpiece then removed! I'm VERY SURE I'm ignorant of many ADDITIONAL Sliding and Fixable thingies!!!

Main points of Legendre differential equation?

The Legendre differential equation is the second-order ordinary differential equation(1)

which can be rewritten(2)

The above form is a special case of the so-called "associated Legendre differential equation" corresponding to the case . The Legendre differential equation has regular singular points at , 1, and .

If the variable is replaced by , then the Legendre differential equation becomes(3)

derived below for the associated () case.

Since the Legendre differential equation is a second-order ordinary differential equation, it has two linearly independent solutions. A solution which is regular at finite points is called a Legendre function of the first kind, while a solution which is singular at is called a Legendre function of the second kind. If is an integer, the function of the first kind reduces to a polynomial known as theLegendre polynomial.

The Legendre differential equation can be solved using the Frobenius method by making a series expansion with ,(4)

If is an odd integer, the series reduces to a polynomial of degree with only odd powers of and the series diverges. The general solution for an integer is then given by the Legendre polynomials(25)

What is expandable sand screen?

it is a movable device, usually consisting of a covered frame, that provides shelter, serves as a partition made of the more or less fine debris of rocks, consisting of small, loose grains, often of quartz that is able to increase in extent, size, volume, scope.

16 What was the Colossus computer created to decode?

The Colossus was created to decode encrypted messages from Germany during World War Two using the infamous "Enigma" machine. For full rundown see Simon Singh's "The Code Book".

What are the Environmental constraints in engineering businesses?

Environmental engineers plan, build, and test erosion control systems, water control systems, and waste management and utility plants. Their projects vary from large to small scale, and may include collaborating to build a city's water system, landfills, and recycling centers.

What is accomplished when an object is moved by a force?

When an object is moved by a force, work is done, increasing or decreasing its kinetic energy, often but not always decreasing or increasing its potential energy.

What are the characteristics of advanced block ciphers?

Characteristics

 General Security

 Uses S-Box as a nonlinear Components

 Software Implementations

 High performance due to parallelism

 Executes on variety of platform

 No of round decrease so speed is incresed

 Restricted-space Environments

 For S-Boxes pre-computation or Boolean representation is used

 Very Low ROM and RAM requirement

 Hardware Implementations

 Throughput is unaffected with highest Key size

 Attacks on Implementations

 Key setup performance is slower than encryption for decryption

 Key ability

Why school buses are painted in yellow?

School Bus Yellow

Other standards at Dr. Cyr's 1939 conference also applied to improving school bus safety. The most recognizable standard was the development of school bus yellow as a standardized school bus color; the attendees considered yellow the easiest to see in dawn and dusk, and it contrasted well with black lettering.Yellow is now the shade associated with school buses worldwide; officially it is known as National School Bus Glossy Yellow in the United States, and Chrome Yellow in some parts of Canada.

Why paper width reduces with zero rush drag ratio?

Because the fibers are aligned in the MD direction and consequently the sheet shrinks in the CD direction, resulting in a reduction in sheet width.

Are diodes only used in a dc circuit?

There are lots of diodes - a "diode" is simply a device that has two electrical connections. If you refer specifically to the rectifying diode, it is used to convert AC current to DC current - so, it is used in a circuit that has BOTH AC and DC.

What was the first loo that could be flushed with wather?

It was the toilet in the palace of Knossos, Crete. It is 3,500 years old.

What is Avalanche breakdown?

Avalanche breakdown is a phenomenon that can occur in both insulating and semiconducting materials. It is a form of electric current multiplication that can allow very large currents to flow within materials which are otherwise good insulators. It is a type of electron avalanche.

The Avalanche process occurs when the carriers in the transition region are accelerated by the electric field to energies sufficient to free e- h pairs via collisions with bond electrons.

What types of classes should you take to start an engineering career?

You should look up a center dedicated to an engineering career. It would be much better if you went to an institute dedicated towards your goal, it will also help because it just concentrates on it.

What is the fullform of DLP?

What is a senior programer?

A senior programmer is the person in charge of all the other programmers. Normally they have been with the company for a long time, hence the name "Senior" programmer. They usually watch over whatever project the computer programmers are working on to make sure it is correct and on time.

How do you fuel a koehler mining lamp?

There are two main series of the Koehler mining lamps. The "E" series which is the heavier regular lamp, and the Lithium series. The Lithium Series "Li16" is a much lighter lamp, more comfortable that as every new technology had its shortfalls but I believe now they are working without a problem. I believe MSHA bought a large quantity of those for their inspectors. Did that help?

What does it take to get and Engineering degree if you already have a 4 year chemistry degree?

The exact answer depends on the program and the school, but if you already have a BS degree then you usually need to complete those courses in the engineering degree that you don't have from the chemistry degree.

Since the degree means you have completed your 'general education' requirements, the classes you would take would be the ones specifically for the engineering degree (i.e. in engineering). The other course work would have already been counted.

Do you save money by turning down the heat from 72 to 69?

oooooooooh yes, get a sweater and turn it down to 65 like mine it is so nice. Males like it cold and females like it warm. do u know why?...TOUGH LOVE LARRY

===================

Scooter, your response is emotional and impressionistic. The facts you are referring to are "Temperature Differentials"

If the temperature outside is 10 F and you have your thermostat set at 70 F, your furnace is overcoming a temperature differential of 60 degrees, right? If you dial down to 68, you have changed the differential by 2 F or 1/30th. If you gas bill is $150.00/monthly, you save 1/30th or $5.00. If you subtract the time you are at work and sleeping and only crank the heat up during the time you are around the house and the savings are reduced even more. I don't feel that it is a good purchase to be cold in my own home all month, (30 days of shivering) to save $5.00 or $3.00. I think it is misleading to project that their is big savings to be had by dialing down and selling out your own personal comfort without analyzing and quantifying those savings. Sooooooo, crank it up and be comfortable. Who are you saving it for?

If you want to hit the jackpot of heat energy savings, spend a few dollars taking care of the 500lb Gorilla of heat loss, air infiltration! Tiny gaps around windows, doors, foundations, electrical outlets, bath fans and heat ducts, just to name a few, can keep the heat you are paying for where it needs to be.

Would you like to talk about how much you could save with improved insulation and geo-thermal heat systems? This is where the real money is at! Send me a note.
