903 Questions

If i dyed my eyebrow hair how long will it take to grow out?

I went white-blonde a few months ago and BADLY needed to lighten my eyebrows as well for it to look more natural. Personally, they grew back out in a month or so. But hey, you can always have them trimmed shorter, or re-dye them if you change your mind.

Are you thinking of going lighter, or darker? If lighter, you can just go over with darker dye a week or so later if you are unhappy with it. If darker, you can have your eyebrows thinned out a little or waxed until the dye grows out. I'm sure you'll figure something out. ;)

Just make sure not to get it in your eye if you DIY! And be in a well-ventilated area so that the fumes don't cause your eyes to burn.

You have to take out your nose piercing for your job will it close?

It depends on how long you've had it pierced for. Even if you've had it for 2 years, taking it out for even 6 hours could make it hard to put back in. I suggest getting a retainer (http://www.bodycandy.com/cgi-bin/category/retainers) to use during work. If you just got it done within the last month or so, you need to be careful about switching it to put the retainer in. If it isn't healed, taking out the piercing can cause scarring/infection/bump. If you can, talk to the piercer about what to do.

How much does it cost to pierce your navel?

How do you make hair stop growing between your eyebrows?

i have only tried this once, but it definently worked and lasted for two weeks!

first you should put the original petroleum jelly vaselene on the part that you want to remove (about a five p coin size).

next, you put some sugar paper on it, to remove any excess oils or moisture. then you place some super-sticky sellotape on it, and kind of rub it with your nail.

this wont always work, depending on the thickness of the hair.

Body Piercing Guidelines or "I want a piercing, now what"

  1. All Body Piercing studios are regulated and work under regional and local health and city licensing regulations. What you may want may not be legal in your area so call and check with your local studios.
  2. Age limits can vary from city to city and state/province to state/province, contact your local body piercing studios (under the yellowpages "Body Piercing" ) they will tell you what the age limits are for your area.
  3. Identification is aways needed (Birth certificate, Student card, Drivers license) Parental consent is consent from the legal parents (Mother or Father). Grand parents, Sister, Brother, Second Cousin twice removed doesn't cut it sorry. Unless they are your legal guardians assigned by the courts and have documented proof or this, it just won't work.
  4. Prices for piercings vary from shop to shop and city to city. Be sure you phone and ask them what the total price is including any *aftercare solutions they may try to sell you (* Professional body piercing studios won't try to sell you aftercare solution, they will recommend cleansers and soaps but that's it if you want it they will sell it but they will not force you to buy it.)
  5. Do your research, check these places out and find a studio that you are comfortable with, talk to the piercer and discuss you wishes. If at any time you feel like you are being ignored or rushed leave, find somewhere else. Good shops will be busy, but they will also want you to book your appointment, this way they have there full attention on you not everyone else who is asking questions (that's a good thing).

Is Propecia or Rogaine better?

Answer
Any medicine which is developed for use in America has to go through laboratory tests and clinical trials; after which it has to be approved by the Food and Drug Association (FDA) before it can be available to the public.
In America, the FDA has approved only two drugs, namely finasteride (Propecia) and minoxidil (Rogaine) for use in hair loss. Men can use both the drugs but women can only use Rogaine and not Propecia. If you are not American, you should find out under which brand name these drugs are available locally.
  • Propecia is available as a pill and has to be taken once a day with or without food. Propecia works by decreasing the enzyme activity that results in the formation of a chemical called dihydrotestosterone (DHT) which is primarily responsible for male and female pattern baldness. By blocking the conversion of hormones into DHT it helps to maintain the existing hair as well as in assisting re-growth of thinning hair follicles. In male pattern baldness, during each cycle of hair growth, the hair becomes thinner and finer till it stops growing altogether. Propecia helps by making these thin strands thicker.
  • Rogaine is a solution of which ten drops need to be applied on the scalp twice a day. Although the exact action of Rogaine is unclear, researchers believe that it primarily prevents hair from thinning but in some patients can also increase the protein blocks which in turn make the hair follicles sprout new hair. When Rogaine is applied where there are hair follicles, it works as a hypertrichotic agent that can actually promote hair growth.

For either of these drugs to work they need to be taken for long periods. Propecia has to be taken for at least 6-8 months after which if you see any difference in hair loss, you will naturally want to continue it. Rogaine has to be taken indefinitely as we keep getting new hair follicles which need to continually be treated with the drug.
For women there is no question of which is better as Propecia is not approved for their use.
For men, studies and clinical trials seem to suggest that Propecia is a better alternative than Rogaine. Rogaine has proved to be more useful in holding on to existing hair whereas Propecia does help in also promoting new hair growth. Even though this may be the case, each medicine has its own benefits and you may benefit more from one than the other. So really it boils down to being a personal choice and what works best for you.

ANSWERS
Propecia and Rogaine both are effective medicine for hair loss treatment. Both the medicine are FDA approved for hair loss treatment. These two medicines have shown great results in their clinical research and practical use for the treatment of hair loss. Rogaine has an ingredient present in it called Minoxidil. Minoxidil was basically used for high blood pressure but it also showed great results for balding problem.h Doctor also suggest Minoxidil as balding solution.

ANOTHER ALTERNATIVE TO PROPECIA AND ROGAINE.

Propecia has sexual side effects associated to it such as less desire for sex, difficulty in achieving an erection, and a decrease in the amount of semen. More over, this may not be used by women.
Rogaine is the marketing name for Minoxidil. Minoxidil does not contain ingredients which block DHT from getting into your hair follicles.

It is simply designed to dilate the blood vessels in the hair follicles that are growing smaller, with the idea that more nutrients might be able to get to those hair follicles to help keep them alive, but as DHT still seeps in, the hair thinning and hair loss process still continues. Minoxidil is also not effective for Frontal Baldness or Receding hair line.

Another alternative is a product called Provillus. This is a supplement built to block the DHT(Dihydrotestoterone) in the body. Provillus contains compound ingredients such as, biotin, gotu kola, magnesium stearatern Muria Puania, pumpkin extract, Saw Palmetto, silicon dioxide, vitamin B6, and zinc. These compound ingredients help prevent thinning hair follicles form becoming thinner-leading to baldness. The nourishing blend of nutrients in Provillus helps the hair become thick. It is not only a cure for Hair loss but also a natural supplement which aids overall health. Additionally it is safe to use for both men and women.

Is a piercing forever or does it close?

When you cut yourself or break a bone, it eventually heals up. The same thing happens with piercings. It's a good idea to get your first piercing done with a stud, no matter where it is (you can have a loop or sleeper though). Then, for 6-12 weeks (depending on where your piercing is - your surgeon will tell you) keep your stud in lest it heals. If you are young, it could close up in an hour without studs. You must wear your stud(s) all the time - in the water, in bed, when carrying out athletic activities etc. Don't take them off. Then, after that period, you can take them off. Unless you where your stud(s) roughly at least once a week, the piercing will close up and you will have to get it done again. However, if you wear your earrings and studs for other body parts frequently enough, your pierce could last forever. So, make the most of wearing your studs and earrings. You don't want them to close up.

Did Braun or norelco shaver cause less irritation?

I've recently changed from Braun 360 Complete (which I've used for a couple of years) to Norelco smarttouch. The Norelco is giving me less irritation so far (even on the normal, rather than sensitive, setting), as the Baun used to make my neck bleed sometimes, but this isn't happening with the norelco. I've only been using the Norelco for a week, but opinions seem to suggest that any irritation goes away after a couple of weeks so it should be even better.

Your best bet is to go to the interview with retainers in your piercings. They'll still be noticeable but it shows that you're at least trying to hide your piercing. Most fastfood places don't allow facial piercings but some may. JUst ask around where you're interested to find out.

Is it dangerous to get the Monroe piercing?

A monroe is no more harmful than it appears. You are causing slight tissue damage and there is a risk of infection if not properly cared for. However, in all reality if you can care for it properly there is no harm and after it's fully healed you can easily take it out and it will go pretty much unnoticed. Absolutely not! It is very harmless. If you take very good care of it, clean it often and don't touch it often or play with it your fine. The smaller the gauge the less noticeable the scar will be. 16g is probably the best one to stick with because there easier to find then 18g.but if you want to risk it a little go for an 18g any smaller then that and you will run the risk of having it ripped out. It's a great piercing and it's very fast healing 4-8 weeks but with some people they find it heals in 3 weeks or less! You should defiantly get it.
