It is safe until one of them breaks, and that could happen at any moment. If I were you, I'd make sure you have a good pair of walking shoes, if you don't get it fixed you've got a long walk ahead of you. If that joint should break, the car isn't going to go anywhere. That car needs two axles to make the car go and if one is broken or missing, the transmission will just spin. It is possible that a wheel could lock up, but I don't think it's very likely, but do you want to chance it? Can the failure of the joint possibly cause other damage to the car? Yes it will. If it breaks at highway speed the damage could be considerable. I have seen broken shafts rip out oil pans, brake lines (no brake line, no brakes) and crack transmissions. I would highly recommend getting it fixed as soon as possible.

the fusebox is in the glove compartment on the left hand side behind a lil black metal plate... Thats where one is, theres always, the battery compartment fuses, the engine bay fuse box or the one inside the tailgate depending on what fuse you need.

Pop the bonnet, pull off the conector, then the rubber cover, flick the two springs off the h4 bulb and pull it out. For the sidelight bulb just twist the plastic holder to the left and pull it out.

I had a similar problem. When i took it into the garage they told me that the head gasket had gone and it was mis-firing. It was completely destroyed and i had to replace the engine, so get it seen to fast.

the thermostat is on the radiator and conectet to overheet plug, you can see the wiring that conectet to the fan to, is the same, and you can change it with no proplem, remove the air filter, open the fan panel and you can see the termostat, before you change chake the wiring and fuses, i hope is help you, goodluck.

Thermostat is located on the right hand side of the engine. Locate the top hose coming out of the expansion tank and follow it to where it connects to the engine block on the right hand side. Remove this hose draining the coolant in the process. You will now see a pipe connected to a flange that is bolted into the engine bolt. Undo these two bolts and withdraw the thermostat unit. Refitting is reverse of removal. Fill system back up with a 50/50 antifreeze and water mix. Hope this helps. :-)

If it's an 8 valve engine and not the 16 valve:

Bosch Spark plugs have a gap of 0.8mm

NGK spark plugs need a gap of 0.9mm

16 Valve engines have a 0.9mm gap on each type of spark plug

If its a 98 60sx mk1 punto then you have to take out the screws at the bottom of the door pockets then use a flat screwdriver to pop it out from the bottom workin your way to the top an lift it round the lever that opens the door then over the locking pin.

Ok so it took some time to work out. The rear manual window winder is held on by a horseshoe wire sir clip. Its between the handle arm and the plastic washer that sits on the door covering. I used a flat blade screwdrive to push it out. The closed end of the clip can be seen on the end of the arm when the handle is pointing to 6 o'clock and you push the driver between the arm and washer. you can't release the clip from this side.

Turn the arm to 12 o'clock and use the screw driver to push down on the clip open end. Its a bit of a fiddle but can be done. To refit the handle push the clip onto the arm. check the arm position from the other door. press it on. It goes back on very easily.

It means the hand-brake in engaged. Make sure the hand-brake is fully down, and the warning light should dissappear. If not, it could be a hand-brake re-adjustment is in order, or there is a fault with the warning light itself. Strange, mine is in the boot, left side, just behind the rear seat!

Just like anything else things just break. Have you had any electric welding done on the car? Have you used an external battery charger? Have you accidently connected the battery in reverse polarity?

The bonnet catch is in the foot well on the passenger side near the door but high up. Pull it to release the catch then put your fingers between the gap of the slightly open bonnet lid in the middle. You will find a small plate that needs to pushed up ton release the lid.

there should be a hole in each corner of the radio,,you can buy a tool to remove it however something which fits in the holes like a small Allen key 2-2.5mm will do the job. when i took mine out it was rather stuff but it did come out. hope this helps
