How many trees are used for toothpicks every year?
Approximately 1 million trees are used annually to produce toothpicks. Most of these trees are small, fast-growing species, primarily sourced from regions like the U.S. and South America. The production process involves cutting and processing the wood to create the thin, pointed sticks that are commonly used. Efforts are being made to promote sustainable practices in toothpick production to minimize environmental impact.
Bio-processing for forestry products?
I'm not possitive, but I believe it would be the use of by-products like 'tree bark'. There is a process of 'pelletising' (looks like rabbit pellet food) of wood waste products. The pellets are sold by the ton to large businesses like a greenhouse complex that would burn the pellets in large furnaces to heat the greenhouses.

Why is sustainable develpoment important?
Why is cutting down too many trees bad?
1.humans breathe out carbon dioxide. and trees and flowers give out oxygen to the air that we breathe in. If we keep cutting trees. There would not be enough trees to produce oxygen. And we cant breathe in carbon dioxide cause then we would get carbon dioxide poison.
2. More car accidents because more animals would be running n the streets because of the loss of homes.
3.More possibility of getting deer ticks on your pets and yourself because a lot of deer have lost their homes and deers have ticks. Its getting so bad 3 families of deer live in my backyard.
4.animal attacks. More animal attacks would happen if all the forests are gone because they would have no ware to go.
5. The world that we live in would be a falling community because of the loss of trees. Animal attacks, deer ticks, car accidents and ect.

Why is the rain forest important for life on Earth?
Plants remove Carbon Dioxide [one of the major "Greenhouse" gasses] from the atmosphere, and release oxygen into the air so a large rainforest will continually refresh the atmosphere.
Answer 2Rainforests also provide homes to many amazing species of plants and animals, some of which are not found anywhere else on the planet. If that's not a good enough reason to save the rainforests, I don't know what is! And also to save the gorillas.
Why should forests be conserved?
Most people are too busy with their own little lives to realize what is going on in the environment and eco system and it's important we look up information on the Internet to be aware of what we should fight for as far as clean air and keeping our forests and animal life safe and healthy. Nature is a delicate balance and everything has a use to keep that balance.
Because of poor air quality in many cities in the world there are more cases of asthma, allergies and much worse diseases. If we don't keep enough trees our air will never be clean because trees filter out the pollutants in the air. They provide shade from the sun and food for animals. If we don't protect one species of animals or mammals then the whole chain of events is unleashed.
Wildlife is an important species in this world. it helps in maintaining the ecological balance, economical value and aesthetic or recreational value.
Wild animals are dependent...they live in forest... in the 20th century the conservation of forest was realized but 2 developments. We need to conserve forest for protecting the animals too.. we need to increase the area of forest, we need to stop cutting of trees..Establish a wide corridor in reserved forest and energy use.
Thus conserving forest we can able to protect wild animals to.

Probably a nomad, as Istanbul receives LOTS of immigration from other parts of Turkey.
Or "rich", if he really lives and not merely stays alive in that city. It can be dauntingly expensive to enjoy it properly!
On the serious note, Istanbulian or Istanbulite would probably be as close as you'd get to a proper noun in English to address a person from Istanbul in one word.

In terms of land mass, Quebec is the largest with 1.5 million square kms - about 15% of Canada's total.
Ontario is the largest in terms of population. Over 13 million people live in Ontario, about one third of the country's population.

What is imperialism and its impact?
Imperialism is the policy by which one country takes control of the land of another region. The Age of Imperialism lasted from 1870 to 1914. The development of imperialism mirrors that of industrialization. This is because the two reflect growth and progress.
The US was more focused on competing for resources and new markets during this era. Concerns for the US were the economic situations of the Pacific and Caribbean, along with the strategic importances of these areas.
Imperialism was inevitable with the growth of industry. In need of materials, countries would take control of other lands. Ethno-centrism became a part of the European state of mind. They felt driven to impose European beliefs and ideas on the conquered territories. This was deemed the "White Man's Burden" by Rudyard Kipling, who was very much against this movement. India was very affected by Europe.
Europeans created a scramble for Africa and formed spheres of influence in China. Today, imperialism is much subtler, often in the form of foreign aid to create favorable relations between the two countries.
Many nations benefited from imperialistic practices in that they provided an opportunity to modernize. Much of the infrastructure, educational facilities, and hospitals in these countries were built by the imperialist nations controlling them. Along with the positive changes came negative. People were repressed and their cultures were left behind. Because of this, the nationalist movement was sparked. An example of this would be the peaceful revolution led by Gandhi.
Imperialistic practices led to global bitterness towards major countries. In time many of the weaker nations gained independence , and still today their is much resentment towards the former colonial powers. World War I was spawned by greed as nations competed for land and markets.
