Can chameleons live with crested gecko?

Most chameleons are housed in a screened terrarium due to the lack of humidity they require. A crested gecko cannot sustain life in a screened terrarium due to the humidity that they require. These two species would never come face to face in the wild, therefore should not be housed together within the same terrarium. Animals of different areas/continents/regions cannot be housed together. They would require completely different heat, humidity, lighting, mistings etc..

Do geckos eat bananas?

While a tiny amount of overripe banana might be accepted as a treat, they would probably find a bit of pureed peach to be more palatable. Green anoles eat primarily insects, and small amounts of sweet fruit can be offered, but only as an occasional treat.

A better choice would probably be Repashy crested gecko diet or Repashy day gecko diet, which is a powder that is mixed with water. It has a sweet flavor, and PROBABLY can provide complete nutrition for a green anole, provided the lizard likes it. (They are all individuals). It should be noted that other small anole species (such as brown anoles) have not been observed to go after sweets the way green anoles do.

I have maintained mourning geckos on Repashy crested gecko diet, and they were extremely healthy, and produced robust and healthy babies which likewise grew well, exclusively on the diet. It would be worth trying this with green anoles.

Can the veiled chameleon and the giant day gecko live together?

NEVER house different species together unless they're found together naturally ! The majority of reptiles are solitary creatures, only seeking out others of the SAME species at mating time.

Day geckos and Chameleons require completely different living conditions - and should NOT be housed together ! Besides which - part of a Chameleon's diet is OTHER REPTILES !

Where do you catch a gecko on runescape?

With level 27 Hunter and a box trap, you'll find baby geckos on Karamja; as with most pets, there are varying colours: red, blue, green and orange/yellow. Red geckos can only be found throughout the Khazari Jungle (requires at least starting the Legends' Quest) whereas the other three are found throughout Karamja.

  • Red - Khazari Jungle
  • Blue - north of Shilo Village, north-east of the mine.
  • Green - far west side of the island, north coast past the Shipyard.
  • Yellow/Orange - by the green geckos, or north-west of Shilo Village, west of the mine.

Do gecko feces look like mouse feces?

Yes.....Gecko droppings and mouse droppings are very similar looking.

With one exception......

The Gecko fecal matter has white on one end. This is because gecko's get rid of uric acid (urine) along with their solid waste, similar to birds.

How long does a Madagascar day gecko live?

All Day Geckos of the genus Phelsuma come from Madagascar.

Most likely, you are referring to the Madagascar Giant Day Gecko (Phelsuma madagascariensis madagascariensis).

Madagascar giant day geckos may reach up to 22 cm (8.5 inches) in length from nose to tail tip.

Another commonly kept species was formerly called Phelsuma madagascariensis grandis, but is now Phelsuma grandis. Known in the trade as Grandis day geckos, they can reach up to 12 inches in length, and they are the largest of the day geckos, so this should answer your question either way.

What are the mating habits of a Gecko?

When breeding times comes, male geckos will fight each other violently over female geckos. A male gecko will approach a female and bite her on the neck in order to get a grip on her. He may copulate with her several times during the breeding season, each time producing another set of two eggs. The female will lay one of the sets of eggs approximately every 3 weeks until she's done.
