how to replace wheel bearings on 2004 GMC envoy?

re: 04 Envoy - my service 4wd light came on in the middle of a 10" blizzard. I researched it and took it to Jiffy Lube and had the front & read differential fluids changed. Light went off and has stayed off. Now my "service engine" light keeps coming on - I'm concerned that I may have a crack in the gas tank as I have read many many other Envoy owners have experienced.

Open the garage door. Press the 'learn' button on the opener (for less than 10 seconds). Enter 1-6 digits on the keypad, then press enter (light on opener should blink). Test it and all remotes to ensure they didn't get erased from memory. Done.

It is located under the vehicle along the frame under the driver seat. The relay is also located there.

Method #1 Tune to a station that provides RDS info (Artist, Title) for about 2 minutes. Press the hour and minute setting buttons (below the volume control) simultaniously. If the station provides a time sync signal the display on the radio will show "Time Updated" Not all stations that use RDS send a time signal. You may have to try two or three to get your clock updated. Method #2 With the radio turned off press and hold the hour or minute setting button until the time display changes.

i believe it is under the hood.When you face the vehicle it is on the right hand side above the battery cover.Hope this helps.

I believe the 2006 uses the same Homelink garage door opener as my 2001. Here are the steps for programming a single button: - Make sure you have the garage door opener with you. - Turn the key to ACC (no need to have the car running, but you need power) - press and hold the 2 outside buttons for around 20 seconds (it may be a bit longer) until the center light begins to flash. That erases whatever was in the memory. - Now press and hold the garage door opener and the button you are looking to program. The light should blink slowly, and the blink faster after about 4-5 seconds. - Release both buttons. - Try the button you just programmed. If the door opens, you're done. If it doesn' open, you need to do 2 more steps to program the new code into the garage door opener itself. - Leave the key in the car. Go to the garage door motor in the garage. There will be a wire hanging down. That's the antenna. At the top of the wire (possibly behind the light bulb cover) will be a button marked "learn" or something similar. - Press that button. Now you have about 30 seconds. Go to the car and push the button you just programmed. It should open the door. To add a second car, repeat these steps. The garage opener can handle codes from multiple cars. Good luck.

You might want to check your battery. We have a 2002 envoy and it would start then stall. The truck wouldn't even turn over at all. We changed the battery and it all work again and all the problems went away.

On the exhaust pipe between the engine and the catalytic converter

the best is to bring your belt to the parts store, since it takes only 1 minute to remove it (you even can remove it on the parking lot :-)

This can get to be a real hair puller, but maybe not. Disconnect the wire going to your tank, usually on the top and hard to get to. Turn your key on then ground the wire while someone watches the guage, which should go all the way to full. If it does "and be sure you have a good ground" the sending unit in your tank is bad. If it still doesn't move, your problem is in the dash gauge or wiring.

They drive pretty good in the snow if you have the 4wd model. We had a record amount of snow last year ( 3 storms each dumping over 22''). Never had a problem.

One can purchase a 2005 GMC Envoy in many different places. Some web pages where one can buy it are Edmunds, Cars, AOL Autos, Kijiji and Kelley Blue Book.

It reduces the amount of harmonic drone created by the exhaust noise.

Your owner's manual gives instructions on how to do this. Follow their instructions to learn the "code" from your garage remote. The problem you will run into is that most modern garage door openers have what known as a "rolling code" that is constantly changing. So, when you program the button in the car, you'll have to perform a "learn" function on the actual garage door opener. (attached to the ceiling in your garage) You'll need somebody to hold the "learn" button on the garage door mechanism itself while you press the button on your TSX after the car has been programmed with your handheld garage remote.

You cant LEGALLY open locked gates,doors,ect. in any state. Can you prove they did it? Any other way they copuld have gotten in? Someone else open it?

To begin, press and hold the 2 outer

HomeLink buttons (to clear the memory)

until the indicator light blinks slowly (after

20 seconds). Release both buttons.

Position the end of the hand-held transmitter

1-3 inches away from the HomeLink

surface.

3. Using both hands, simultaneously press

and hold both the HomeLink button you

want to program and the hand-held transmitter

button.

DO NOT release the buttons until step 4

has been completed.

4. Hold down both buttons until the indicator

light on the HomeLink flashes, changing

from a "slow blink" to a "rapidly flashing

blink". This could take up to 90 seconds.

When the indicator light flashes rapidly,

both buttons may be released. The rapidly

flashing light indicates successful programming.

To activate the garage door or other

programmed device, press and hold the

programmed HomeLink button - releasing

when the device begins to activate.

5. If the indicator light on the HomeLink

blinks rapidly for two seconds and then

turns solid, HomeLink has picked up a

"rolling code" garage door opener signal.

You will need to proceed with the next steps

to train the HomeLink to complete the

programming which may require a ladder

and another person for convenience.

6. Press and release the "smart" or "learn"

program button located on the garage door

opener's motor to activate the "training

mode". This button is usually located near

the antenna wire that hangs down from the

motor. If the wire originates from under a

light lens, you will need to remove the lens

to access the program button.
