Rpm stands for revolutions per minute. This is talking about the revolutions the crankshaft goes per minute. The faster you go to more revoultions that are accomplished. Therefore the faster you go, the rpm goes up. And as you slow down it goes down.

More that likely the headlight switch is bad. Turn your headlights on and when they start to flicker tap on the headlight switch real fast. If they flicker to you tapping on the switch, that's the problem. They had problems with that switch around that year. It's a pretty cheap fix and you can do it your self quickly.

Can also be a sign of a failing alternator.

There's no fuel cut off switch its not like the Ford products-

GM/Chevrolet's don't have it -Its the engine oil pressure sending unit that will cut off the fuel in the event of an accident

Yes u can i have 20 inch rims on mine i just had 2 put .25 inch spacers all the way around but mine is lowered 2 inch in the front and 3 inch in the back

It is inside the fuel tank and can only be accessed by removing the bed or dropping the tank. I suggest removing the bed. You should have help.

firing order is 1,2,3,4,5,6

the relay is located on the upper firewall on the drivers side in the rack of 2 relays. One is for the air cond if equiped with one and the outer should be the fuel pump relay. Be sure to check the relay with a voltmeter set at 20 volt dc scale , the reading should indicate voltage thru the relay or none which should tell you if a new one is needed. May want to be sure you have a good ground on the frame near the pump assembly unit as it will make you think the pump is bad but realy at times you loose the ground due to bad rust. old rusty wrench,,Rives Jct., Mi.

If all the inside controls are working and you have antifreeze in the cooling system them I would suggest that you check and make sure that the thermostat is working and after that check to see if the heater core is stopped up.

If so then you will need to completely flush out the cooling system including the radiator, block, all hoses and the heater core.........

If the year is around a '92 the pump is located in the tank under the sending unit for the fuel gauge. They are not the most exciting thing to replace as i have just done one in a 92 S-10 by droping the tank

If you have a V-6 it is easier to remove the bed and access the top of the tank that way. On most V6 Sonoma and S-10's the exhaust is in the way of removing the fuel tank, you can lower the exhaust but then it will rest on the differential and you will have to lower that also. I have a good friend that is a 35 year GM Mechanic, he says ignore the books and remove the bed. There are usually just 6 bolts that hold it on, have some beer ready for your friend that will help you sit the bed out of the way.

Mine is a 98 4 cylinder, you can't buy just the pump. The whole assembly is $330.00. Look it up on autozone. Crazy.....

Port and polish is grinding to improve the flow of the cylinder heads. After grinding and polishing the intake and exhaust ports , a cylinders air flow capacity is checked with a flow bench. Further grinding is done to match all ports to the same flow rate.

on a 4 cylinder model it is the cylinder closest to the Fan Shroud or FRONT of the vehicle if it's a 2.8 it starts at the front left if you are looking a the engine from the front of the vehicle... which is number 1... front right is 2 1 3 5 FAN 2 4 6 if it's a 4.3 the front right is number 1 2 4 6 Fan 1 3 5 the firing order is clockwise on the distrubuter Hope this helps

There is a special tool for the removal of the window crank handle. This item costs less then $5.00, you can search for it online.

It is the round black plastic thing i beleave on the right hand side or the DRIVER side of the car it has the plug wires going to it

I just did this recently on my 2002 sonoma. 8 bolts hold your bed on. Remove the 4 bolts from the drivers side of the bed, and loosen the other 4 on the passenger side. Use a jack, blocks, a buddy,etc to lift drivers side bed up and block the bed so it stays up. Unplug the wires to the pump, unloosen flange on fuel pump. Pump will come right out. Install new pump,flange, and wires. Before putting bed back down, turn key forward(dont start vehicle), and listen to hear pump prime. If you hear it then it works. Lower bed,install bolts and your done. Much easierthan draining tank and dropping it.

The doors you have to remove a bolt in the handle area (i believe its just under it) and then you have to remove the window crank (which requires a special GM tool), Then the door panel pops off revealing your speakers. Now the dash speakers they just have screws that hold the panel in. Once that panels off you just take the screws out and put your new ones in. MrNathanielJ.
