Virginia Tech does not have a minimum GPA requirement to get into the school. If you have a low GPA, you can focus on extracurricular activities and your essay.

If you keep your GPA up and do well on your standardized tests as an upperclassman, your possibilities are endless.

For MSU, anywhere above a 3.3 or so. U of M is a bit higher, a 3.8 would be almost a guanrateed in! However, a GPA isn't everything! As long as you have solid test scores, EC's and courses, you should be able to get in!

For second years transferring it's a minimum of 2.5 GPA, but there are most likely other requirements.

It should---be in your teacher's records and/or your counselor's files and records. It should---be an Arabic numeral with one or two decimal points such as 2.93 or 0.75 or 4.0. It should---be an somewhat standardized and accurate indicator of your proficiency with the subject/s for which the GPA average was awarded.

Not enough information to be sure the scale I'm using matches your school, but here goes.

In general, an A is a 4, a B is a 3, a C is a 2 and so on.

Therefore, 2As and 2Bs would be 4+4+3+3 which equals 14.

You must then divided the 14 by the number of grades which is 4.

14/4 is a GPA of 3.5

Please be aware that some classes you take may be weighted. In that case, the GPA would be higher.

Gain experience in same filed and it you would be consider to have more gpa not chance to do so, try it other way and get experience certificate to just claim gpa in your own risk/unfair.

SAT doesn't really matter. All UC's admissions are done on their own scale. Its called a UC Score. Each variable is given certain number of creds. Like getting a 3.5 means you need to get 143 UC score cred to be eligible. If you want to get in. I would say you should have something like a 3.8 to 4.0 weighted, and then between 18 and 1900 SAT. You also want to get at least 500 on all your SATII's though getting 600 would be better. My stats right now are pretty low too, but hey, what can we do. I have something like a 4.2 GPA, 1700 SAT, and 600/630 SATII's. My chances are good because I have a high GPA, but slim because Low SAT score conversion. So just get into the 1900 and your set.

2.5 GPA is an 80% because it is on a weighted scale. Anything from 0% to 59% is still a 0 GPA.

2.0 for undergraduate on a 4.0 scale

3.0 for graduate on a 4.0 scale

AVID is about preparing students for Colege

If you don't keep up your GPA you are not going to Colege

it is hard to get into Florida out of state and you probably need at least a 3.7, but in state i would say about a 3.5

If you have a 3.3 GPA in high school, you will need to continue you good study habits in college. Your GPA does not carry over from high school to college.

Each B is worth 3 points, each C is worth 2 points.

3+3+3+2= 11. Divide that by four (four classes) to get 2.75.

If you're in college, however, you need to factor in the credit hours. If each class has the same number of credit hours, your GPA will still be 2.75. If they aren't all worth the same number of credits, here's how you figure it out:

(Grade x Hours)+(Grade 2 x hours) + (Grade 3 x hours) + (Grade 4 x hours). Divide the sum from that by the total number of hours.
