Grades and Grade Point Averages (GPA)

Almost all colleges and universities will require a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 for general admissions. However, the GPA can also be program specific. In other words, the institution can require a GPA of 2.0 for general admissions to the school, but require a minimum GPA of 3.5 to be accepted into their business program. You can research colleges and universities by name, or program of study, or geographical location etc. The site will give you a list of institutions based on your request. It will give you the background of the school, accreditation, entrance requirements, programs of study, tuition and fees, etc.

Unless you have already had the class, if you plan to go into the highly competitive medical field by now you should be in geometry and generally earth science is a middle school course with biology, chemistry, physics, as well as anatomy being the dominant high school science courses. This is not to say your GPA is not impressive it is but I think you are already well aware of this. Good luck with your goal.

It depends on the context. A 2.68 GPA is average, but not desirable to colleges.

Different insurance companies use different sources for rating vehicles but generally speaking an American made 4 door sedan is going to be the least expensive. If you are considering getting a vehicle that you don't need collision or comprehensive coverage then the make and model of the vehicle won't matter. The only things that would save money then would be ABS or possibly air bags if you have medical coverage on the auto policy.

Yes and no!! Now let me explain that answer. If you keep taking courses and every course you take is an "A," you will not go back to a 4.0 GPA. You can only get close. However, if you repeat the course you got a "B" in (and at the same school),and get an "A" the second time, then yes your GPA will go back to a 4.0. The institutionalways takes the higher grade when you repeat the same course at the same school, and only that grade is calculated into your GPA. Now, do you really want to do that?

You definitely need to get good grades and a high SAT score are a must. After you accomplish this, start thinking about ways you can separate yourself from the competition. Extracurricular activities are very important. Lastly, make sure you want to go to george mason university. I know a lot of students that thought they wanted to go to their dream school, but when they got in and went to that school, they were really disappointed. The As are worth 4, the A- is worth 3.7, the B is worth 3, and the B- is worth 2.7.

So, you have ((3(4)+3.7+3+2.7)/6 which would give you 3.566, or an A.

At my school for all honors level classes an extra 0.5 on your gpa, and Advanced Placement courses are an extra 1.0 on your g.p.a. but there are different methods for other schools. check your student handbook.

Any number of the of colleges would be a good fit for a student athlete with a GPA of 3.0. It depends on your personal preference of many different things from the area of study you are interested in to how close you want to be to your "home". Obviously, if you are good enough at a sport to "Chose" which one you want, you will already have an idea of which schools are better at football then the others. Any NCAA university will be a good academic experience if you decide to make it one. Generally speaking, however, if you are looking for a good football school and academic school on a national level you will want to look into the Big Ten, Big Twelve, ACC, SEC, Big East, Pac-10, WAC, or a Mountain West conference school
