A common fan delay relay works by a small thermal coil contained within it. Upon application of the low-voltage control signal, usually 24 v, the coil begins to heat up and after a pre-determined amount of time, will cause the primary contacts to close. This allows the furnace to fire up and warm the heat exchanger prior to the circulation fan coming on. At the end of the heating cycle, the control voltage is removed and again, after a period of time, the thermal coil will cool down, opening the primary contacts and shutting off the circulation fan. This ensures an adequate flow of air over the heat exchanger after the burner is extinguished, purging the system of any remaining heated air. Even though it may contain a thermal circuit, it essentially is still a mechanical relay and thus subject contact stick, mechanical damage, etc. Many of them have been replaced with a solid-state relay and control/ delay circuitry.

Whenever the AC is turned on, both cooling fans also come on. Otherwise, during normal operation only one fan comes on when activated to maintain correct engine temp.

There may be several reasons why the air only blows out the front vents and not on the floor or the defrost on the 2003 Dodge Ram. The fuses may be blown, or the heating coil is not working correctly.

Check where this rusty water is coming from. There are many possible causes.

The cost of a cabinet cooling fan ranges from approximately $25 to $40 on Amazon and eBay. Future Shop and Best Buy sell them as well with comparable prices.

It could affect it somewhat, but that's probably not the problem you're having with your AC. A system performance test with a manifold gauge set would narrow down the cause of your AC problem.

Sensible Heat Ratio - SHR - is defined as the sensible heat or cooling load divided by the total heat or cooling load.

Try backflushing the heater core. You have two heater hoses going into the firewall - after running, one should be hot to the touch, and one should not. The one that's hot to the touch will be the inlet... when you backflush it, you'll use it as the outlet. Disconnect the heater hoses, keep the ends elevated, put in some radiator flush or CLR, and let it sit for about 15 minutes. Then, using the outlet hose as the inlet and vice versa, you can either flush it out with pressurized air or pressurized water.
