Are Jews allowed in Germany?

Your question asks are so presumably you mean now, in 2011. The answer is yes. Quite a lot has changed in Germany since the end of World War 2 in May 1945 (over 65 years ago). I'd add that I'm very surprised by this question. Has it not occurred to you that if Jews were not 'allowed in Germany' now in 2011, there would be pandemononium and uproar and you would have heard about it?

No written order or authorization signed by Hitler has been found, if there ever was one. However, no mainstream historian doubts that it was Hitler who ordered it.

How did Adolf Hitler persuade Germans to blame the Jewish for their problems?

The Jews have been persecuted for over 2,000 years, so it wasn't a new concept to hate them. The Jews owned a large percentage of the German economy before WW2. Another reason is that a lot of Jews were Communist and wanted that form of government to rule Germany. The German people hated Communism and everything it stood for. It is also said that many Jews wanted to lose WW1 so they could set up a communist government in Germany. When Hitler took over Germany, he got them out of a depression and gave the German people hope and security. I believe it was in 1939 that Time Magazine declared him "man of the century" for turning Germany around. After he turned Germany around, it was easy to get people to believe in his propaganda.

___

The above answer is ill-informed and includes a lot of Nazi propaganda.

  1. "The German people hated Communism and everything it stood for". Not true. In the general election held in November 1932, the last before the Nazis came to power, the Communist Party won just over 16% of the votes. This was one of the things that made the established elites panic and nominate Hitler as Chancellor.
  2. " ... a lot of Jews were Communist". That is what the Nazis said, but most German Jews were non-political.
  3. "The Jews owned a large percentage of the German economy before WW2". Again, this is Nazi propaganda.
  4. " I believe it was in 1939 that Time Magazine declared him "man of the century" - no, it was "man of the year" (1938).

Was Hitler alone responsible for killing the Jews?

Hitler was the one mainly responsible for the killing of the Jews, but he was not the sole responsibility as all the people who supported him and carried out the killing tasks Hitler set them also shares some of the responsibility.

Where can you find notes about the ghettos?

1. The original meaning was a district where Jews were compelled to live by law. It was first used (in this sense) in Venice around 1600.

2. In the last 50-60 years a new sense - decaying inner city area inhabited mainly by members of ethnic minorities has become more common.

During the Holocaust, Jews in Poland and some other Nazi-occupied countries were forced again to live in ghettos. For information on the Nazi ghettos, have a look at the related question.

Is Barack Obama for or against slavery?

Of course Barack Obama is against slavery, and he has also been opposed to segregation. President Obama is very much aware of his own racial heritage (given that his father was born in Africa), and he and his wife have visited several African countries where the slave trade was practiced. If you are asking this question because you heard on a talk show that President Obama is trying to "enslave" people, this is political rhetoric and there is no truth to it. Since he is America's first black president, no-one else who has held that office could be more personally familiar with the story of slavery, and Mr. Obama knows all too well about the harm that slavery did to past generations.
