Open the drivers side door and look at the bottom of the door jamb. There should be a decal or plate fastened there that gives the size tires on your vehicle and the factory recommended tire pressure.

Could be several things. Replace your air filter if its dirty, try adjusting your idle screw, remove your distributor cap and check if there's any play on the rotor (if there is, then replace it), check for corrosion on the pins inside the distributor cap.

gaskets... Depending on where the leak is, new gaskets are pretty much your answer... Based on you asking this question i would HIGHLY recommend an experienced mechanic to help... no offense...

Honda never released the production numbers no one knows. My guess is alot.

My CRX has a 10 gallon gas tank.

There is a bolt on the passenger side of the transmission case that needs to be removed in order to drain the fluid. You must raise up the car to service this. The bolt is just left of the inboard cv joint coming out of the transmission. To add oil, there is another bolt just a little higher up that needs to be removed so that a pump can be used to pump in fluid up to the level of this second hole. Of course you must reinsert the lower bolt first so the new fluid won't be draining out there. An easier way to add transmission oil is to remove the speedometer cable drive from the top of the trans, and add your oil by pouring into a small hose inserted from the top. Just be careful if you decide to remove the speedo cable first. Watch as you remove the little snap clip that holds the cable in. You can drop it somewhere and cause some grief to find it again. I prefer to use synthetic auto oil for the tranny. It is the same type as you use in the engine. This oil is slipperier than standard gear oil and will free up a horsepower or two.

if your car is getting hot its usually the first clue... if its smoking (coolant

out of the exhuast) or is making exsesive pressure in the coolant system its

from a bad head gasket letting water in the cylinders and then exiting out the

exhuast or vicversa pushing air from the cylinders in the coolant system... either way

if its doing that it most deffinatley the head gasket

that would depend on weather it were a hf, dx, or si. the hf and the dx usually have a 1.5 liter d15 and the si usually has a 1.6 liter d16

Cable could be loose.

what year and model crx they came with different engines for the different trim level a dx is d15b2 and the si is d16a6, and nobody cares about the hf because they are garbage

Try cleaning out the drains on the corners and make sure the drain tubes are clear. Otherwise, replace the seals.

the seats are from a 1988-1991 Crx(2nd Gen)

and i wanted to know if they would fit a older Crx 1984-1987(1st gen)

Well you would need to get Diff motor mounts which would be 400 to 600 on Hasport.com, and every thing eles is prb around 2500, So i would say everything all together it would be around 3200

the timing belt runs the waterpump.

There are several replacement options available for a 1987 Honda CRX SI. Remanufactured units and new replacement parts all serve as good units, many of which are available with warranties.

Low coolant? Cooling fan not working? Thermostat not opening? Radiator restricted or plugged? Water pump not circulating coolant? System airbound?

Start by checking your fan motors. Raise the hood turn the ac on and see if both fans are turning if not that could be one of your problems. Check your fuses as well last but not least it could be that thermostat needs replacing. Good luck but I am no certified mechanic but I have a 1990 crx si and had the same problem. My problem was my fan motor replaced it and my car is running good. I have not had it over heat on me any more.

The problem is

1. The tank is not available from Honda or any after-market maker. Bad experience with Auto parts Warehouse.

2. That tank on EBAY is for the 88-91 CRX -- mine is an 86 CRX- SI-- "si"-- a different tank for ONLY the 86 and 87 CRX- Si.

3. "Blasted and sealed" -- radiator shop referred me to a guy who immerses engines in some solvent--

The tank is uniqe to 86 and 87 CRX-si model-- fuel injection and 88-91 tank doe not fit

I know on the 89 CRX HF the MAP sensor is located on the firewall. Look for the 3 pin. Should have a white wire, green/white(-), and yellow/red(+)

When changing the antifreeze first drain the old fluid by disconnecting the lower radiator hose. Plug the hose in and add coolant to the radiator. Check for air in the system, bleed if necessary.

An engine can overheat from several reasons. A faulty thermostat is the most common cause, provided that there is nothing else wrong. A plugged radiator or a faulty water pump can also cause the problem.

Once an engine has overheated the head will often warp causing the coolant to "blow out" of the cooling system and making it impossible to keep running without overheating.

Damaged hoses or other leaks can cause overheating as well.
