The best way to handle a Honda Element overheating is to first turn on the heater to high. This, hopefully, will draw heat away from the motor and allow the driver to get to a service station without stalling. If the car stalls on the road, do not open the radiator cap until the car has been sitting for about 30 minutes or so.

This is a common problem - the "power window regulator" has a plastic clip that can break - you can't buy the clip by itself, you'll need to replace the entire regulator.

Dump all of the fuel out of the tank. Then take a pair of long needle nose pliers and grab the end f the fuel line. Inspect it for swelling or complete disentegration. The ethanol added to gas that is now mandatory in many states is very tough on fuel line. You may have to replace the fuel line and put a new fuel filter on while you're at it. Patience is a virtue.

Another answer, I changed all of the pads( front and rear) on my Element in about an hour. Obtained pads from Kragen auto parts store (about 70.00us) used floor jack and air gun. Simply unbolt wheels, caliper pins, slide out old pads, slide in new ones. I have been rebuilding brakes for 50 years, not all that hard.

The noise is from the rear differential clutches. Bring it in to Honda and they will drain and refill them, they will also perform a burnish procedure. This is covered by the Honda Care package if you have it.

the fuse box is below the steering wheel on the lower part of the dash console. It is 2 twist locks there that's how you un lock it.

remove the radio, and get the serial number. then go to the nearest dealership and they will give you the code to unlock the radio. i would also recomend writing it down and keeping it in the car, as i am sure you will experience this problem again

yes. We often drive from Dallas to Breckenridge Colorado. the drive up and down the mountains is good. if you take it easy on the accelerator, you'll find that gearing will remain steady.

Are You Speaking Of Electric Heat. If So It Sounds As If You Are Not Getting 220 Volts To The Element, Only Getting 110 Volts. This Would Cause It To Just Get Warm. Suggest You Resumit Question With More Information. Sorry For The Trouble

That depends on the model, the mileage, the options, and the condition of the vehicle.

You should definitely check out a used Honda dealer's website and compare prices. The NJ Honda dealer that I go to is always running great deals on used vehicles but again it depends on the model, mileage, options, and condition of the car.

If it is just the Maintence Required light then it is just telling you the oil needs changing or a scheduled maintence is due. Your owners manual will list the exact item that needs attention. If, on the other hand it is the Check Engine light, then the computer has detected a problem with the emissions system and you need to take it to a professional.

It's on the dash in front of the passenger seat , it' has a flipup cover that say aux.

It might be that one of the dual filament light bulbs in the system have had the 2 filaments short out with each other. Usually this also causes problems with the stop

signals,and turn signals also. I had this happen on a car a long time ago,after I had already replaced the switch. Always check the bulbs first.
