hold down preset #1 and #6 and the power button all at the same time. The audio system serial # should appear on the screen. It's a 10 digit # and will show you the first 5 at one time and the the remaining 5 the next time. you can then call your Honda dealer and give them this # so they can look up the radio code.

Turn the radio off and then while holding down numbers 1 and 6 turn the radio back on. This will display the 10 digit radio serial number 5 digits at a time. Each 5 digit code will flash 3 times alternately. If you do not have your radio code you will want to write these numbers down so that you can contact the dealer and obtain your radio code. After the radio serial code has cycled your radio should now read CODE prompting you for the radio code. Once you enter the 5 digit code the radio should work. Of course your presets have been wiped out so you'll need to reset those.

Vehicle is still under warranty. Take it back to the dealer who sold it to you.

Yes it does. Usually we have ours done every 18-20 K miles. You should have the tires rotated and check pressure every 5-6K miles.

It is located under the driver side dash bourd. The relay switch will most likely have the "Ford" logo on it.

The size of screw driver is a #0 Phillips. If the key is only a few years old, any cheap #0 will work. Older keys need a better driver, and it needs to be heated with a lighter or candle before removing. Honda uses a thread locking chemical on the screw. 08 and up Accords and 09 up Pilots have a problem with a protective grease getting on the battery. The battery is not weak! 1. Use a jeweler's screwdriver (I used a 2.4mm phillips, which worked for me) to loosen the screw.

2. Pull apart the two key halves, (my key had a little slot on the side to make that easier)

and remove the little black capsule with the door lock, panic buttons etc. from the key.

[my Honda Accord 2010 key was a little difficult to open: it didn't want to separate at the top and I was concerned about breaking the plastic - but screwed up my courage and applied force and it eventually popped open, and I could then see that my concern was unfounded ]

[if it doesn't want to separate at the top, open a quarter inch, and pull the back half down toward the metal key, which will disengage the top hinge]

3. You'll need to open the capsule from one end with a small jeweler's (flat head this time) screw driver.

4. On a 2008 Accord key, the battery inside was a Panasonic CR1616 3V watch type battery.

5. The reason that I was opening my 2010 Accord key was weak signal and the local Honda service manager told me that this complaint was due to dielectric grease at the contact points.

Sure enough, there were drops of grease on the battery negative surface and on the positive copper landing pad . I wiped the contact surfaces clean removing the offending grease.

6. It is almost two years since I first cleaned the "grease" off the battery. Unfortunately, I've had to perform this cleaning operation about every 4-6 months since. Where the "grease" is coming from I can't imagine - maybe it's not grease but some other defect ?? Anyway, my experience is that I need to clean it every 4 months.

7. Also, I tried a dab of Loctite on the Phillips head screw since it was loosening - but that made it very difficult to remove the next time ... it is crucial to have a screwdriver that fits exactly, and if Loctite is used to be very sparing. .
