How do you fix a pull door handle?

What type of pull on what type of door? Wooden, you can use tooth picks or slivers of wood to fill the hole in the handle so the screw will grip. Metal ones that have pulled through can have a fender washer put on the back side. Plastic can sometimes be glued. For a better idea, a little more information is needed.

Can only find 1 gas cut off vavle in my 1986 home it's located by the fireplace there is an outlet for a gas range but no cutoff valve is the gas to the house controlled by the 1 valve?

Your use of the term 1986 home suggests you have a mobile or modular home. If so, there should be a shut off at each gas appliance. Stove, furnace, fireplace. If not, there may be one outside between the house and the meter. If not, there is one on the meter.

If you have a regular house that was built in 1986, there should be a main shut off in the basement. If you do not have a basement, then it is probably only at the meter.

How do you repair an Oneida table knife which has come apart into blade and handle pieces?

If the blade has a section that slides into the handle, I would use a 2 part epoxy glue on it. Instruction with the glue. If it has broken clean where the blade meets the handle, there is really not much that can be done. It can be welded, but it would always show the repair.

How do I get the foggy windows to clear up on the inside?

Inside a vehicle, use the defroster, which directs air from the blower to the windshield, to evaporate the condensation. Condensation forms on the warm side of a pane of glass (or other surface), so using cool air will clear it faster and keep it from returning.

Inside a home or office, this can be more problematic, but use of automotive defogging solutions can help. Defogging solutions contain oils which prevent condensation from adhering to the glass. It also works on cars.

Is tepid water room temperature?

Statistically, there are both warmer and cooler and average temperature molecules of water in any mixture. Room temperature water, exposed to the air will attempt to evaporate, molecule by molecule. All molecules of water statistically warm enough to do so will turn into water vapor, leaving behind the cooler water molecules. In this way a bucket of water in a room will be slightly lower than the air temperature of the room.

This temperature differences is what is used in a wet and dry bulb thermometer humidity gauge where the relative humidity values are then looked up in a small table of values. If the temperature difference is large, the air saturation of water vapor is low (dry relative humidity), but if the temperature readings are almost exactly the same, then the water vapor saturation of the air is very high (wet relative humidity--nearing 100% relative humidity).

So, when a person dips their hands or fingers into an indoor pool (or good quantity) of unheated water, the temperature will always be lower than the air temperature. This is why a dip in the pool is usually a good way to cool off from the hot weather. This is even more so if some form of dehumidifier is constantly removing humidity from the room, the water vapor atmospheric partial pressure will be nearly a vacuum, thereby encouraging / drawing even more rapid evaporation from the pool of water, drawing heat out of that water, making the water cooler and cooler.

Water that is nearer to normal human body temperature is probably considered tepid. Slightly above this would be considered lukewarm--temperatures approaching the pain threshold, too warm, and near the boiling point would be scalding.

Warm water is likely between "lukewarm" and "the pain threshold." A person drawing bath water is likely to make the water a little bit warmer than they would initially like because they know that the water temperature will cool down at a rate determined both by the relative humidity, air pressure, and temperature difference between the water and the air temperature.

Environmental temperatures (your bath water temperature) that make the brain rise to fever levels are fine as long as they do not exceed the threshold of temperature for brain damage to start to occur (around 106 to 107 degrees F).

Water vapor is said to be the greatest contributor to being a green house gas, and not trace green house gases like CO2 and methane. CO2 levels trail global warming and cooling periods because the waters of the oceans can contain less gas in solution when warmer, and more gas in solution when cooler-the laws of physics my dear chap!

About global warming being man made. It is likely a scam.

Search >"climate change" research November 2009 "Medieval Warm Period" OR MWP<

November 2009 hacked emails of climate scientists revealed that they are purposefully altering measurement data and trying to cover up the mid-evil warming period that happened around the time of the Vikings exploring Greenland and Iceland in the years around 800 to 1300 AD, when these Viking explorers were able to grow crops easily in the Greenland region--thereby, giving us the name "Greenland" and still using computer model data where the models used have been criticized as wrong or heavily flawed.

Search >satellite damage OR error absence OR inferred "climate change" OR "global warming"<

Additionally, it was recently found that certain satellite temperature telemetry data was in error for quite some time, yet the erroneous data was still used in the computer models. The planet Earth heats up and cools down on its own due to the influence of the sun cycles--otherwise what would cause this Mid-evil warming period?

The change of temperatures since the 1650s must be viewed with respect of the fact of that period in history was one of the coldest on record (a Mini Ice Age) because London's Thames River froze over, and Holland's Hans Brinker was skating around on the frozen ponds in his country using his wooden shoe-based ice skates. View the 2008 Video - "CBC - Global Warming Doomsday Called Off"

The Video search of the same search string reveals a CBC TV documentary about fake climate change science. The most noticeable temperature increases have been in urban centers using ground thermometer readings that have been affected negatively by the asphalt and real estate building development conducted by the very people claiming to fight global warming (The Rockefeller family), and not of carbon dioxide emissions. The person stating this is a atmospheric physicist Professor John Christy University Alabama, Huntsville, who with Roy Spenser won the NASA Medal for Exceptional Achievement were the first to piece together all of the satellite and weather balloon data from the last 50+ years that independently both showed that no such unusual human-made catastrophic temperature rise was taking place. John Christy was an IPCC member, until they promoted fraud as science.

You Tube Search >"CANADA COVERS CLIMATEGATE - Rex Murphy Exposes New World Order Climate Change Scam"<

The peer reviewed science that is the basis for this global warming scam is all of UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) cronies who are paid by the money powers to help establish a one world global government run by the international banksters (Rothschilds, and Rockefellers). Rex Murphy's expose explains that all sorts of cover-ups, and fraud were happening including peer review journal study suppression of opposing views to that of the Rockefellers and Rothschilds.

Al Gore has made over 1 billion dollars so far from his carbon credits trading companies (Chicago Climate Exchange, European Climate Exchange, and Generation Investment Management LLP). Al Gore is a long time member of the think tank group "The Club of Rome" who in the 1960s developed the idea of frightening people to give up their freedoms by a fake global crisis of climate change.

"In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill. [...] All these dangers are caused by human intervention and it is only through changed attitudes and behavior that they can be overcome. The real enemy, then, is humanity itself."

- in The First Global Revolution, 1991, pp. 104-105 by Alexander King, founder of the Club of Rome and Bertrand Schneider, secretary of the Club of Rome.

Club of Rome is the Elite Think Tank behind ideas such as "Sustainable Development" (population control / depopulation) and "Global Warming" like the Rockefeller Brothers Fund. Members include David Rockefeller, Gorbachev, Al Gore, Henry Kissinger. Originally this group was organized in 1968 by the Morgenthau Group and the majority of Club of Rome executives were drawn from NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization).

Not so coincidently, the finding of the 1992 Earth Summit Rio de Janeiro hosted by the Rothschild / Rockefeller United Nations was that man was to blame for "global warming."

"In 1972, the Club of Rome, along with an MIT team, released a report called Limits to Growth. The report stated that we were to reach an environmental holocaust by the year 2000, due to overpopulation and other environmental problems. Support for their conclusions was gathered by results from a computer model. Aurelio Peccei, one of the founders of the Club of Rome, later confessed that the computer program had been written to give the desired results. Similar allegations have been made about global warming, and other scares."

A global taxation scheme for carbon credits will have money flowing directly to the central bankers of the monetary system, and not to any effective solution to the faked problem, thereby tricking the gullible taxpayers and their governments to making the rich richer.

Contrast this with the poverty in Africa and the Middle East that is causing disease, famine, terrorism, and wars--all the while the International Monetary Fund (IMF) influences / causes / supervises the privatization of the natural resources, roads, rivers, electricity, and ports over to private foreign corporations who do not contribute to paying back the debt of the poor African nations to the bankers who loaned them hundreds of billions of dollars--so much money that the interest payments required exceed $250 million per day. The diseased Africans are being polluted with oil refinery sour gas flaring, and are being injected with contaminated vaccines that are sponsored by rich philanthropic supporters of world depopulation efforts who happen also to own / control tax exempt charitable foundations who own the oil refineries-coincidence?

Who was the driving force to form the country of Israel? The group of Zionists were lead by someone named Lord Rothschild of England starting from a congress held in the late 1800s. This lead to the Balfour declaration of 1917 that promised the land of Palistine to this group lead by Rothschild.

Can you put cupboards above a stove?

VERY unwise.

The heat from the stove will cause damage and in worst case a first. Added to this is the effect of cooking - steam will cause laminate to "blow" - expand. It can also catch grease and oil from cooking - It is far better to place an extractor hood there to remove excess heat, food smells and grease

Can you hand wash cashmere?

Yes, It is better to hand wash cashmere to be safe. You should soak it in cold water with some woolite for about 30 minutes, then leave to dry without rinsing. After this, you can iron into shape very gently with a slightly warm iron. Not a hot iron though.

What is tape?

tape is an acid than kills your skin makes you swell up and bleed

Or a sticky surfaced material that is used to hold items together.

Why is condensation freezing in intake and output pipes of energy efficient furnace?

if you put screens to keep birds out of the pipes the moisture from the exhaust will freeze, and the exhaust motor will not be able to vent there by tripping the furnace on a pressure switch fault. the pipes ie intake and exhaust should have a minimum distance of 15 inches apart, and the same above the ground to prevent snow drifts blocking them.

Home ac heater unit heat wont come on?

Could be lots of things. If you have a standing pilot light, one that stays on all the time, the thermocouple may be bad. A thermocouple is a small rod that sits in the flame of the pilot light. It then runs to the gas valve. This produces a small amount of electricity that keeps the valve open to let the gas in. If the pilot light goes out it shuts the valve so the house doesn't blow up. Easy enough to replace. If the pilot light is still on and the furnace will not light, it has to be the thermocouple.

Check fuses at the furnace and in the panel.

Newer gas furnaces have a circuit board in them that can go bad. There are a dozen things that could keep it from working, it is just a process of elination.

When is the best time to fill asphalt driveway cracks?

When its hot, anywhere above 70 degrees would be good. If its cold it won't bond, or it will crack sooner.

I replaced the thermocouple in my gas furnace and it is running longer than it did before but it still shut off so what is the problem?

It could be a couple of things:

1. Wha is the condition of the pilot light? Does it have a yellow or white color to it? If so it will need to be cleaned. It could also be buring with to much pressure and blowing itself out.

2. What is the thermocouple connected to? If it is a silver color box (and not directly the gas valve) it could be weak and need repllacing.

3. If it is connected to the gas valve, that could be your problem as well, but it is an expensive replacment item.

4. Is there a down draft coming from the chimney? Air blowing down the chimney that does not have a cap on it can also cause the pilot to blow out.

How do you remove bathroom mildue?

You can purchase a commercial cleaner with bleach in it like Tilex and follow the instructions on the bottle, or you can mix 1/2 cup of houshold bleach with 1 quart of water, put in a spray bottle and spray on the mildew, let sit for about 15 minutes and rinse well. Make sure the window is open and be careful NOT to get any on the rug if there is one in the bathroom.

How do you stop the bathroom mirror from fogging?

NRG anti fogging mirror with self adhesive bathroom mirror adhesive backing allows direct application to the back of any mirror in just minutes. Pre-attached leads conveniently connect to an isolator switch (existing light switch or seperate). The anti fogging mirror with self adhesive bathroom mirror use very little power when switched on. Why do the ice cubes crumble when you empty the tray?

Ice cubes crumble when you empty the tray because they have stuck to the surface. This causes the ice crystals to shatter when they are forcefully removed.

How do you burn incense?

Light the tip of the insense with a lighter or match, place it on a holder in a safe place, and allow it to burn.

How long does composting take?

Anywhere from a month to a year is how long composting takes. Assuming that proper procedure is followed, the timespan will depend upon the frequency with which layers are turned and the pile thereby is aerated and upon the size and type of compostable materials.

What percentage of heat is lost through doors of houses?

This depends on alot of factors. The R value (insulation value) is different for hollow doors , wood doors metal etc. Also a window in the door whether or not it is single payne glass. Most older entry doors are wood or metal. Alot of the metal doors do not have insulation which makes them very bad for your insulating factor. A solid old wood door is actually better rated than a newer steel door with no insulation. The only way to really tell you heat loss would be to hire HVAC to do load calculations and refer to charts to compare what you have in your home to models that have been tested for their R value. As long as all the seals around the door are ok and there are no gaps from missing weatherstrip or sweep missing there is not usually a large heat loss. If you have a non insulated steel door , you might as well leave it open because they have little or no R value. Solid wood does carry a little insulating factor

One of the important factors in measuring heat loss is identifying where the heat loss occurs. While the door itself can lose heat (as can a badly insulated wall it is attached to) the main problem is in ill fitting doors. Shut the door and hold a piece of tissue paper just in front of the sides and base of the door, if it moves then you have air flow. Stopping air flow will dramatically decrease heat loss. The most popular products used in professional buildings are acoustic door packs, these provide a perimeter and drop down seal pack which can be easily fitted to all sides of the door. Rated upto 51dB they provide sound proofing and excellent insulation. Standard draught excluders can drag on the floor and wear out easily while damaging carpets etc.. The drop down seals only drop to the floor when the door is closed.

All internal doors can be fitted with these seals (either in rebate or retrofit, ie with or without taking the door off its hinges) and they can be sourced for around £ 25.00 per pack. To find the products online just search for drop down door seals on google.
