What do you do when your strings are too close to the fretboard on your bass?
It depends on the bass type, but it generally falls into one of two solutions - it's either fixable with a setup change, or certain parts in question have become worn to the point where adjustment won't work anymore, and the instrument needs to be repaired.
First you need to find out why the strings are too close, and then go from there. Either way if you don't know enough about setups yourself, you'll need to take it to a competent tech who can tell you what the scoop is. Find a store in your area with a tech shop that's frequented a lot by local band musicians - they're usually the most reliable and reputable, because if they screw up, those same musicians know where to find them after getting booed off the stage because their instruments failed in the middle of a killer set.
How do you disenfect a recorder?
Wooden or plastic? If it's plastic, just stick it in the dishwasher (top rack only) & be sure to take it apart if it's more than 1 piece. If it's wooden, you'll need to get a cleaning cloth & a cleaning rod & go at it. You could use a little mixture of rubbing alcohol diluted with water, but not too much. The best thing is to just not do anything with it that would make it all funky.

What is the value of a serial number 2121065 Gibson Epiphone S-310?
Well the Guitar is a 1992 model made in Korea and without seeing the rest i can not tell you the price exactly. You need to know all these models were ran from 1986-1999 and then discontinued. None of them with all original parts are usually worth more than $200.00 and most the time just about $125.00 in Pristine condition.
These guitars along with their sister telecaster models (T-310) made for lesser years are good guitars for the most part but not worth alot by far. They come with Single,Single,Humbucker or 3 Single coils in the S-310 model. The T-310 comes with a standard telecaster looking pick-ups. They both can come with a "Hockey Stick" looking Headstock or what is called a Bat Wing Headstock. They changed these throughout the years of making them.
Realistically anything is worth what someone will pay for an item but in all fairness if you want to sell one or just know what the price range for one, it is worth the above prices. In this day and age i have never seen one of these sell for more than $200.00 dollars. Even though a Seafoam Green colored one in Pristine condition will fetch a little more due to the limited run in this color. The Yellow,Red,Black,White and so on are what i stated above in value.
Fostex mr8 multirack where can you find plastic key assembly StartStop ..Menu..etc plastic buttons?
I am confused. Is your question about buying replacement parts? If you want to know where you can buy the plastic buttons to replace broken ones, like Start, Stop, Record. You can buy them online at the Fostex store. It is under parts/accessories.
Also, I recently replaced mine. I had to call them directly because their online store said they were out of stock. They are NOT out of stock. Unfortunately, they don't have good coordination with their online system; they had not updated their inventory records.
You can find the number under "Contact us" on their website.

How do you stop my amplifier screech?
it might just mean that you've overloaded the amp with effects. theres other possiblities aswell.
I don't play alto sax (I'm a horn player) but I've learned clarinet and think I know enough to help answer your question.
That sounds like a pretty sweet sax =D Has it always been like that or did you notice a change after you bought it? If something has changed over time, I'd say bring it into the shop for it to be looked at. If it has always been like that, I don't know if it's fixable.
Is is possible that the hole size is too small? That could be worth looking into.
Hope this helps!! And I hope you get some expert advise on this =)
Which way do you turn the truss rod in a guitar to lower the strings?
NEVER adjust the truss rod in order to lower the strings.
The majority of string height adjustment is done at the bridge on either the bridge posts or individual saddles depending on your guitar.
The truss rod is only there to correct any humping or bowing in the neck, if you tighten it then the strings will appear to lower but that's only because you're bending your guitars neck back!
This will render your guitar pretty much unplayable until it's sorted so if you're not completely confident you know what you're doing then it's best to just leave any truss rod adjustment well alone.
If you value your guitar then seek the advice of a qualified or experienced luthier or repair guy.
