That's why it's a fic. A fanfic to be exact. Fan fiction is what the fans would imagine or want to happen to certain characters of a series. That doesn't happen in either the InuYasha manga books or the series. In the end of the manga, however, InuYasha and Kagome end up living together forever since that's the last chapter. In Fuedal Era, Japan, (500 years ago) I don't think that people had the whole idea of a proposal, marraige, honeymoons, etc. Don't take my word for it though. Besides, how could Kagome become a half-demon anyway? There are pictures of Kagome as a half demon on Google but they are digitaly fixed or just random drawings created by the creator herself.
p.s. i think they did get married at the end of the manga b/c kagome calls sessy the Japanese verb for "brother in law" and sota even stated that she ran away to get married. i could be wrong but i just did another read through of the manga, from start to finish, and that's what i got from it. as far as a honeymoon or anything like that. :)

At first, one would think, "Oh, they are really alike. They're like, both aloof and all."
Well, not really.
At first glance, Sesshomaru often appears aloof and indifferent, and rarely shows any emotions other than slight annoyance or dissatisfaction.
Byakuya, on the other hand, he seems always serene and apathetic towards other people, even when he is actually deeply conflicted. He is also extremely calm, even in battle, and is very seldom surprised by even the most drastic of actions.
It really all changes, because they are both characters in which the creators go in depth with. The creators make them both arrogant and aristocratic and all, but later on, one reveals that he finds pride in his sister, the other finds compassion in himself while traveling with his young female companion.
They're both practically tsundere types. Both harsh, hostile, and cold, but later revealing their soft, mushy insides.
Oh. And on that note, there's actually a character in InuYasha named Byakuya too.
