Lift the car, remove the tire, remove the brake shoe and caliper, and remove the old brake pad. Dispose of the old brake pad, put in the new brake pad, replace the brake shoe/caliper, replace the tire and lower the car to the ground.

This will happen if the ground terminal for the brakelight bulb is connected to the power side by accident. If you have a 3 wire socket or light assembly with GROUND, TAIL, and BRAKE wires two of them are wired incorrectly. When the headlights are off the brake light is finding ground thru the filaments of the headlights. Since the headlights have much heavier filaments, they provide a good ground for weaker brake light. When power is on the headlights the brake light will have power on both sides, so no current flows and it goes out.

it's computer is at zero miles to service, you can take it to a dealership to reset it or if you look in the manual it will tell you how. Usually it is holding down both the select and set button at the seame time for about ten seconds.

Antifreeze/cooland - general information:

Warning 1:

Use only "ethylene-glocol" (green/blue).

Do NOT use propylene-glycol (yellow/red).

From 2002 long-life-special-glycol (HOAT) are used, and can not be mixed with other types of antifreeze.

It is on the same circuit as the brake lights, but if they are not working, and the bulbs are good your switch needs cleaning or adjustment.

Attempt this first since the switch costs nearly $300 bucks.

On the passengers side of the trans just behind the bell housing there is a fan shaped switch, loosen the 12mm bolt ( smaller of the two, and rotate the switch while a friend checks the lights. this problem is usually accompanied by an occasional inability to start the vehicle, but can be cured by jiggling the shifter.

While adjusting the switch make sure that the vehicle will start in park as well, remember to block the wheels while testing the back up lights, engine off, key in run but not start, shifter in reverse, move switch until lights come on.

Once you find this spot, hold it in place and have your helper check to make sure it will start. This may take several tries to get both working correctly.

If you have no luck the switch may be dirty, this happens a lot. Hold the post to the bottom large bolt still while you loosen the nut, then remove it, then remove the 12mm adjusting bolt on top, remove the wire connector and pull the switch away, remove the bolts on the switch and separate the halves, use electrical contact cleaner and maybe some q-tips to clean all the copper connections completely apply di-electric grease and reassemble, refit to the trans and readjust so all functions work, this switch controls back up and start safety.

Caution! always hold that bottom bolt while tightening the large nut, this is connected to the gear adjuster and you could damage the internals if it isn't secured while you do it.

Try "rocking" back and forth while turning ignition key

I was able to get my lift open by sticking a long, skinny, flathead screwdriver up between the latch and the body. Once it was in I slid the locking mechanism to the right. I got the gate open and was able to get the panel off and temporarily repair the latch.

If it is a hand brake then you have to go under the car and look for a cable coming out of the body. the cable will then go to a y type splitter to split to each rear wheel. There is a bolt on the splitter that you have to tighten. tighten it about 3 turns at a time and continue till it is tight enough.

On the right side of the panel, you need to open the right front door to see the fuses panel little door.

My problem is the same, but with a different car. After doing a little research, evidently one should check the fuse for the lights, and if that isn't it, then check a switch on the side of the transmission with some wires going to it. Sorry I don't know more. Good luck.
