Kia Amanti

The glove box release for a 2006 Kia Amanti is located on the underside of the glove box door. To open it, simply pull the latch or lever, which is typically found on the right side of the glove box. This will allow the glove box to swing down and provide access to its contents.

The front spark plugs are easy. To change the rear plugs the top mixing (plenum) chamber has to be removed. This involves removal of cables, electrical connectors, throttle body, vacuum hoses, & rear support brackets. Nasty job. Best left to a professional.

SPIII fluid - you can use Castrol multi-vehicle import availabe at Advanced Auto - it is SPIII compatible.

You can change the fluid with a mity vac from the dipstick and replace with SPIII fluid -

Under dash on driver's side.

You have to feel under the dash just left side of steering wheel. It points straight down and is well concealed by the underside of the dash. But it's there...

When you find out.. Post it here... I am trying to find out also....

1. Remove the plastic faceplate from the gear shift lever by prying up on the left or right side with a plastic removal tool or carefully with a flathead screw driver but only after opening the console door.

2. Turn the ignition to the start position and shift the gear to the drive indicator. This will allow the removal of the gear shift covering but only after removing the cigarette light switch.

3. Once the unit is removed, locate the two Phillips head screws located at the bottom and remove them.

4. Remove the plastic covering around the stereo using the same same procedures to remove from the console.

5. Six screws are position along the right and left side of the stereo that require removal. The gear shift still must be in the drive position to enable to removal of the unit.

6. Located on the rear are the connections that need to be removed to facilitate the removal of the stereo.

remove the dust cap from the rear of the housing. unfasten the retainer holding the bulb in and remove the bulb.

I myself have a 2006 KIA Sedona. I use to have a 2005 but the dealer here in Fort Myers, Florida dropped it of their lift for its second oil change. It is sad to say that the dealership was too arrogant even though they were negligent. I have to drive 2 hours away to get the 06. To answer your question, the new Kia Sedona 2006 is now using a "cartidge type" oil filter (Part # 26320 3C100). It is located on top of the engine. You need to remove 4 10mm bolts on the fancy engine cover. It you look right on top of this cover, near the battery, you will see an engraving on the cover "OIL FILTER" This design is similar to diesel engines. Pay extra attention to the 2 O-rings that needs to sit properly on its flange. GOOD LUCK!!!

I have a 2004 kia amanti and I have had no trouble, accept I had a dragging starter that I did not change till it ruined my alternator. I already had 170,000 plus miles on it. I think its very reliable...

I have an '07 Sorento. I have to access it through the glove box.

I have an '06 Sorento 3.5 L engine. It does not have a cabin filter per technician at Kia dealership. If you have a 3.8L engine you have a cabin filter...

Open trunk lid up, look up at the back of 8' subwoofer there are hole's drilled through deck lid in each corner, inside those hole's you will find screw's, back them out one at a time, then the cover will come off, but be carefull of the third brake light plug!

The fuel Pump is located inside fuel tank. To access the fuel pump, it's right behind rear seats (folding down forward) in the trunk area. Take off the carpet or cover, use phillip driver to remove all the nuts , and disconnect electrical connectors. A fuel pump is inside fuel filter (black caliper) that attaches to fuel assembly. Fuel filter is to be purchased at KIa Dealership, however fuel pump can be bought at any Auto Part Stores (namely Advance Auto, Auto Zones, NAPA, etc..) Be extremely cautious when working on Fuel Pump - No Smoking Otherwise you could be burned alive

through the trunk, open trunk, then look where break lights are, on the door of trunk, top, there are several screws across the top, remove them, then you have access to bulbs.

My 2005 Amanti has a post card size "door" on both sides inside the trunk, behind the tail lights. Simple wing nut and remove to get access to all bulbs. very easy.

With the engine running and warmed up all the way you should see the dipstick located on the right hand side of the engine in the back ( same side as the oil dipstick). It should have a black rubber top on it. Just pull it all the way out wipe it off put it back in then pull it back out to read what the level is.

It meand your Electronic stability control has a fault unless the light goes off after the engine has started.
