The 2013 Kia Optima has 15.4 cu.ft. of cargo capacity with all of its seats in place.

2001-2002 I know the screws are behind the trunk panel. Two on each side I think and the ones in the back.

This is how to adjust 04 Optima headlights:

For all descriptions, assume that you are standing BEHIND the light assembly.

On the back of the headlight assembly you will see the bulb cover (round cover with tabs) stamped "OPEN" and an arrow showing which direction to turn to remove. Look toward the 8 o'clock position for driver lamp, 4 o'clock for passenger lamp of this cap. Partially obscured by the sheet metal you will see a black screw 3/4 exposed on the headlight assembly. It is at the edge of the sheet metal and very difficult to see, but it,s there. You may need to remove the assembly to get a better look. If needed, see below for lamp assembly removal.

How to remove the headlight: There are two 10mm bolts holding the assembly in place. One is above the headlight and the other one is between the headlight and the high beam light. Unplug the two harnesses that hook into the headlight, if needed, and it is ready to be removed the car. Gently work it out of position.

Take a Phillips screwdriver and turn the black screw - it adjusts the light vertically. Turn it counter-clockwise to make the light go up and clockwise to adjust down. Its as easy once you find the screw.

Tire pressure monitoring system light on means low tire pressure.

Alternator woult come out of body

Use a vice and when fully compressed, insert a tiny(very tiny) Allen wrench into the very tiny hole

On 2003 it is the same circuit as cigarette lighter. Maybe the same for 2004.

Your engine mounts might be cracked and need replacing. Try looking at them and seeing if they are cracked or not. The mounts are cheap...but the labor is not. It can be done by yourself as well, the work is just boring.

I also own a 2002 Kia Optima and just had it diagnosed with a bad crank position sensor.

When the sensor shorts, the engine will not respond to how much gas it's being given, and will sometimes stall out if I am going below 5mph when the short happens. The sensor can short at any speed and the RPMs will suddenly drop, the engine will be unresponsive to gas or lack of it, and then a few seconds later the RPM will jump back up to where it was before the short.


This has been happening erratically for months. Sometimes it will happen two, three times a day and sometimes it will be a month or two where it does not happen. I was told that the problem gets worse with time, and eventually the sensor will go completely out and the car will not start.

No, there is no dipstick. Manual transmissions do not have a dipstick. My 2006.5 Optima manual does not have a dipstick.

You will more than likely find, if it is a Kia motor, they are pretty much the same layout (pain in the behind). On top of the motor you will find a fancy but annoying plastic cover plate, Remove this cover plate and you will find 4 recessed holes down the centre of the block, which is where the plugs are located, you will need a long extension on your socket driver to reach them. The 2006 Kia Optima has 55.8 in. of front hip room.

on th etop of the motor remove the plastic cover. it will give you access to the coils and plugs. Using a 10mm socket, remove the engine cover. All 4 plugs are in the center of the block. Two are really easy to find, the other two need to be removed after you remove the cover on top. You will need a 10mm socket to gain access to them. Don't forget your extender when changing the plugs.

amsoil power steering fluid is the best I have a 2008 kia optima and that is the best stuff you can get

kia sporatage 4cyl is about $75.00 do it your self.Obviously it will depend greatly on the model and engine size.

I would start by looking under your washer reservoir. it will be a small cylindrical pump sticking out of the bottom. just pull it out and connect the new one in its place.

Could be several possibilities, one being the timing belt let go.

the speed sensor output shaft is located under the speed sensor, on top of the transaxle, just beneath the air intake hose that leads to the throttle body. for easy access, you need to pull the battery, air cleaner box, and intake to throttle body hose.

But if you mean 2007 kia optima, it would depend on the model ex, or lx.
