If you are asking whether they can damage each other then no, but it is possible for the laptop to emit electrical interference which could decrease your signal strength on the cell phone. On the reverse side, I can see no reason why a cell phone would interfere with the operation of a laptop. That being said, I don't recommend putting the phone directly in front of an exhaust port of the computer; abnormal heat is not good for either device.

You maybe have turned on the power saving plan in the power option menu, making your processor owrk slower. Put it back to normal:

4. Choose either "Balance" or "High Performance".

The "Balance" plan enable your processor to work at 5% till 100% of its maximum speed.
The "High Performance" plan assure you that your processor works at 100% of its maximum speed.

To watch a DVD on a Samsung laptop, you will begin by opening the DVD drive. This is found on the right side of your laptop. Insert the DVD, and close the DVD drive again. Your laptop should bring up an Auto Play window where you will be able to select what you'd like to do, and with which program you'd like to open it with. Choose the preferred program and select it. Now, you should be able to watch the DVD.

I believe you can, in fact, upgrade the RAM in your HP laptop at the time of purchase, if you buy more RAM while at the store, and hand it to the clerk. He may look at you funny, just ask him to put it on. If he knows how, he will do it.

Right click on the laptop screen. Choose Graphics Properties, and under "Display Devices" Set the Operating Mode to "Extended Desktop".

To the right of that, there will be two positions listed. Under Display selection, you can set the primary device to "Digital Display" which is your laptop, the secondary device should be set to "Monitor".

I would suggest you go for the 2gb ram and 512mb vcard. It has more performance. 2gb can run Vista and windows 7, while 128mb vcard you'll have trouble on running on these current systems.

128mb vcard is not worth it for a 3gb RAM nowadays. unless its a ddr3 and supports cuda and other nvidia or ati stuff, which is impossible on today's tech.

Also, if need be, you can upgrade the RAM from a 2GB to more. It's harder to upgrade a GPU, and more expensive as well.

A Vaio battery is powering up your electric unit. Without it it probably won't start. The battery will lose health after a while but you can replace it from the Sony store for a small fee. How long it will last depends on your habits and device/product.

Depends on what you want it to do. I have a 10 - 12 yer old laptop loaded with a free Lunix OS and software, and it's fast because the OS is small. We travel with it and use it for navigation, internet, word processing, photo imaging (professional level), etc. You can't run modern games on it as neither the memory or processor can handle it. It does everything else I require of it.

So before you decide if your laptop's obsolete, ask yourself if it does everything you want it to.

BTW, I also have a laptop so old it doesn't have a CD drive - strictly floppy. It's a great word processor and has some of the old games on it. Still hooks up to the Net. I have no idea what version of Windows it's operating with *grin*. No reason to throw it out, though. My son used it as a journal untiil he went off to college.

This is really strange! my laptop and pc do connect to the wireless router but all our phones in home don't. I called my ISP and told me that everything was showing up ok and there's nothing odd. Any help or suggestions? Is there a possibility that someone played with the router settings or changed something? I kind of feel that too. PLEASE HELP!
