It is more difficult to replace the fuel filter on this Lexus than 90% of other cars. You will probably have to end up bringing it in to a shop where they can put the car on a lift. Nevertheless, the fuel filter is located in the engine compartment on the driver's side. You have to take off the air vent connected to the air filter to get better access. Then, unscrew the bolts on the top and on the bottom of the filter and unscrew the screws on the metal belt wrapped around the filter to release it. Excess gasoline will spill out. Once this is done you can put the new filter in place and you are finished. Replacing the fuel filter in and of itself is very easy but the location on this particular model makes it much more difficult and tedious.

On the 2008, the manual says 5W30. However, many Lexus dealers use 5W20. I assume this is to try and improve gas mileage slightly.

To replace the fog lamp bulb on a 2003 Lexus ES300 it is easier to remove the housing from front of car. Might be easier to jack this side of the car up for easier access. There is a bolt on one side and a clip on the other. Remove the bolt and pinch the prongs of the clip to release it. The housing should push forward out the front of the car. The back of the fog lamp has a round twist connector. Turn counter clockwise and it should come right off. Once open you will see a white wire connecting the round twist connector to the bulb. You can remove the bulb by finding the wire clamp holding it in place. Push down and in to remove the wire clamp from under the metal rung. Once the clamp is released the bulb should pull right out. Pull the the white wire out of the round twist connector and replace with new bulb. Pay attention to the round metal section under the new bulb. One side has round indentation and one is square. Be sure not to touch new bulb with bare fingers as it will reduce the life of the bulb. Use soft gloves. Line them up and it will go into housing flush. Push the clamp back down under the rung to hold in place and connect the wire to the round twist connector. Push round twist connector in aligning tabs and twist clockwise. Now push the housing back into front of car and clamp will secure automactically. Put the bolt back in and you should be good to go.

No, What year is the car, if it is anything from 1998+ which is what I am familiar with then it is a 4 speed automatic and you should be in 4th gear below 3,000 rpm. Make sure your overdrive button on the shifter is not pressed.

Its on the passenger side. on the back of the motor, between the tire well and the engine. It will be one of two kinds. Be careful if it it the square box kind as the power steering fluid reservoir is on the fender well, and if you dont empty it before you unhook the power steering pump, you will leak the fluid all over everything. No, it is not an interference engine. The belt must be replaced at 90,000 miles. The water pump is driven by the cam belt, so replace the water pump at the same time. This will save you labor cost later on. The pump will not last much longer than the cam belt.
