How many oxygen sensors does a 99 Mazda millenia have and where are they located?

I have a 99 millenia myself and it has 4 (four) 02 sensors, and each go for around 200-450 in price. I don't really know where they are located though, but i do know they can cause your check engine light to come on and flash from time to time, as well as the car hesitating and feeling like it is going to stall.

Your check engine light is flashing on your Mazda millenia and the car is running real rough?

turn off engine and check oil level. If the oil is adequate and the car runs roughly you may have a dirty/faulty O2 sensor.

i dont think so. flashing ce lite means misfire, and if you continue to drive the car, permanent engine damage can result. oil level has NOTHING to do with it. O2 sensor is a very remote possibilty, but most common is a coil on a 2.3, and spark plugs on both. i did have one with a bad fuel injector. #5 cyl, too. which is a b*&^h to get to.

FLASHING is REAL BAD - Park it an Tow it to the repair place.

Steady is NOT BAD - Drive it to someplace and get the code.

Even Money -

The Millenias and their Commonwealth cousins the "Xedos" all suffered from the same issues in this area. This engine configuration typically results in the need for replacement of 1 to 2 O2 sensors and / or the DREADED Knock Sensor embedded deep in the Manifold assembly. Mine ran 3 years with this CEL on due to the cost of labour to replace. The sensor was only 165 bucks while the labour to install was nearly 800.

I will admit once it was replaced I was not only legal again for the Emmissions test, but the thing ran better than it ever did PLUS I got nearly 2 points to my highway Mileage.

Now the codes are confusing on this because two of the O2 sensors share the same circuit and the code wont necessarily identify WHICH o2 is actually bad, that unfortunately is hit or miss. The KNOCK sensor code is separate and distinct however but all of this results in a costly set of repairs.

What is the spark plug gap on Mazda millenia?

2.3(miller cycle) is .7-.8mm(.028-.032in). 2.5 is 1.1mm(.044in). spark plugs with precious metals tips are NOT regappable. they come with the correct gap from the manufacturer. if the gap ain't right, it's the wrong plug

Why won't my engine light turn off on my 98 Mazda Millenia and the car runs fine?

FLASHING - BAD, Park the car and TOW it to your shop to diagonose

STEADY - OK, Drive to your shop or anyplace to get the code read.

How do you replace the rear disc brakes on your 2002 Mazda Millenia?

this is a bit tricky because the e brake are shoes that fit inside the disc. you will see an access hole usually with a rubber plug, that hole has to be at the 12 o'clock position, then you have to loosen a cam that will allow the shoes to collapse inward, then you can remove the disc.

Where is the coolant bleeder on 97 millenia?

The drain plug for a 1997 Mazda Millenia is located on the lower left-hand corner of the radiator. Be sure to have something to catch the water and coolant in so it doesn't go on the ground where cats and dogs can get to it. Coolant tastes sweet, but is deadly to animals as well as humans.

Disconnect car alarm on a 1991 Mazda 626?

I just bought a 626 a couple weeks ago and I didn't even know until tonight that it had an alarm when it went off on me. Well I just looked it up in the owners manual and it says that to turn the alarm off you should unlock any door or trunk with the key. Doesn't list any other way. Hope this helps someone. What a surprise that was.

So to answer your question a different way, there are 4 O2 sensors all over the compartment PLUS the knock sensor in the Manifold.

Only One of the O2 sensors is even visible much less service-able by the average DIY person.

Good Luck, Been there (3 times now)Done that.

How much horespower on a 1995 Mazda malinia 2.5 l?

Its around 170, But the Millenia s have around 210.. But belive it a little more ZOOM ZOOM!

Mazda says it is 170. however, a dyno test with a 2.5 showed 121 at the wheels. which translates to about 150 at the crank, which is more realistic. iow, the 2.5 is a DOG. and this was done on a car that had a cai and a chip. yippee. on the same day, a bone stock 2.3 put down 193 at the wheels. this translates to about 230 crank. Mazda obviously did not want to have the 2.3 beat out the 2.5 that badly, so they "fudged" the numbers. woof

97 Mazda millenia has no spark and the distributor doesnt move?

Well, first; whether or not the distributor moves is irrelevant. If the motor is out of time (moving the distributor is how the timing is adjusted), it should still have spark. If no spark is apparent, check the internal components or the coil. Are you sure it is a distributor or a "distributorless" ignition system? If it is computer controlled, a whole different ball of wax needs to be considered. You should probably research the ignition system in your vehicle and find out exactly what it consists of and go from there. good luck
