The recommended oil is 5W/30. However during the summer months you can use a more viscous oil such as 10W/30. There really isn't any other reason to use a higher viscosity oil unless you have engine issues and are buring oil.

Never use an higher viscosity oil then what your car is recommended. If it's burning oil you need to get the internals checked. Using a higher viscosity can ruin an engine and destroy internals.

Mazda moved away from the mid size up-scale market altogether.

The Millenia was to be the flagship model for a luxury line that Mazda was planning in the 1990's like what Toyota started with the Lexus, and Honda with the Acura.

It never happened and Mazda went after after the small/mid sized sporty type market.

heat seems to be one of the weak points of the millenia cop system. generally, the right bank coils go first. also, oil in the wells can cause the coils to short out and die. my personal favorite is all the dummies who change their spark plugs, and put iridiums in there. even tho the gap is WAAAY off, they believe the aftermarket parts person OVER the dealer, and put the wrong plugs in "because the parts guy at autozone said they would work". the bigger gap makes the coil work harder, overheat, and die. if the plugs have not yet been changed(mazda says every 60k) then my money is on oil shorting out the coils. and it is really rare that it would need all 6.

The turning radius and wheel wells will not support more than 17".

Plus these Milies have speed control steering.

Dont have clue how dangerous this will be once you get past 17" IF you could get them mounted.

The Millenias and their Commonwealth cousins the "Xedos" all suffered a common defect resulting in MOST CEL issues. This engine configuration typically results in the need for replacement of 1 to 2 O2 sensors and / or the DREADED Knock Sensor embedded deep in the Manifold assembly. Mine ran 3 years with this CEL on due to the cost of labour to replace. The sensor was only 165 bucks while the labour to install was nearly 800.

I will admit once it was replaced I was not only legal again for the Emmissions test, but the thing ran better than it ever did PLUS I got nearly 2 points to my highway Mileage.

Now the codes are confusing on this because two of the O2 sensors share the same circuit and the code wont necessarily identify WHICH o2 is actually bad, that unfortunately is hit or miss. The KNOCK sensor code is separate and distinct however but all of this results in a costly set of repairs.

The audio relay for a 1995 Mazda Millenia Sedan is under the hood of the car on the driver's side. You will see a fuse that is labeled with the word 'audio.'

do you mean the chassis no. or the vin no.? you can find the chassis no. with the vin. but not with the reg.no. you can find the vin. with the reg.no.

The problem you seem to be having is the cooling temp sensor. It controls the fan speed which has two speeds. Try that.

You don't!! It's not an easy job. I recommend a certified mechanic or a Mazda Dealership. Probably gonna run btwn $400-$600...but the cars performance will definitely increase.

Most knock sensors are located in the block on the firewall side. Should be the only sensor with two wires in the block. It will also have a camshaft position sensor as well.

I have also just started hearing this squeak as well. More apparent in the rear/left side of the vehicle while traveling at low speeds or over bumpy roads. Also occurs randomly after closing the trunk with the car off.

I'm thinking it could be a bad bushing somewhere? Going to have the mechanic "look" for it. Pray for my pocketbook.

I have a 97 Mazda millenia and its supposed to be located under the passengers side dash. I havent located it yet but I am going to look for it 2morrow and I will let you know what I find.

On the driver's side near the fuse panel inside the car. The ECU is located near the passenger's side underneath the radio/CD player.

The first thing you want to do is take the front left tire off that's if you are standing in front of the car looking at it. This makes its easy to access the harmonic balancer, Next take off the accessory belt and the AC compressor belt. Now once you have done that you will see one big bolt in the center of the harmonic balancer, "You will need a special tool to hold the balancer in place so it doesn't move wile you loosen the bolt, or a good air impact will do the job just fine. Once the bolt is out grab the balancer both hands and wiggle it side to side wile pulling towards you to slide it off the crankshaft ......if you cant get it to budge you will have to buy a puller to get it the rest of the way off

29's here i have a 97 Mazda millenia 2.5 and have had the knock sensor replaced. all the Mazda 2.5 motors 95-02 are the same so i can tell you that its located in the center of the engine only accessible from the top of the motor underneath the intake and fuel rails (which have to be removed in order access the sensor). the gasket for the intake can not be reused and must be replaced. this a repair that a standard mechanic should be able to perform. hope this helps.

It is underneath the supercharger support bracket on the 2.3L.

The Air Bypass valve location is shown on the vacuum schematic decal on the bottom front of the hood. Take off the 2 or 4 bolts holding the plastic engine cover and pop off the cover. You'll then see your vacuum hoses leading to the valve. There are 2 or 3 - 1/4 inch hoses leading to the base of the valve and one or two 3/4 inch hoses attached to the valve itself

The last repair shop i went told me that it could be a vacuum leak... I am yet to fix these......

yes plus it can be lowered and will ride smooth

I have a 2007 Mazda 3 and I am being told not to do 20 inch rims because it will rub expecially if its lowered. So i am going with 19inch wheels with a slightly thinner tire.

If your standing in front of the car it go's left to right, back 1..3..5 and the front 2..4..6
