Race around condition in jk flip flop?
The "Race Around Condition" occurs when J+K=1 i.e. When the FF is in the toggle mode.
the race around condition in JK latch can be avoided by:
a) Using the edge triggered JK flip flop.
b) Using the master slave JK flip flop.
Why refrigerator is called closed loop control system?
A closed loop system is one where the ouput of the system is at least part of the input. In a refrigerator, the output of the cooling system (the cold air inside the refrigerator) is measured, and is fed back into the system to determine whether the system needs to continue cooling.
An example of a fridge that was an open loop system would be one that turns on and cools for 1 hour every 6 hours, regardless of internal temperature.
What happens when a load is applied to the beam?
when the load is applied in the beam then deflection takes place.
the nature of the deflection depends on the support provided on it
Pipe and sheet metal of various types use different scales. For 14 gauge metal, the thicknesses would be (in inches):
0.0781 inches - US Standard Gauge
0.0747 inches - Sheet Steel
0.079 inches - Galvanized Steel
0.0781 inches - Stainless Steel
0.083 inches - Tubing
Thus, 14 gauge pipe would nominally be 0.083 inches thick.
What is Unconventional machining technique?
In ordinary machining we use harder tool to work on workpiece , this limitation is overcome by unconventional machining. unconventional machining is directly using some sort of indirect energy for machining. Example : sparks, lasers, heat , chemicals etc.. applied in EDM ,laser cutting machines...etc
What the difference between extraction and bleeding in steam turbine?
bleed is amount of steam output from turbine through pipe and exit from final stage of turbine . this bleed enter to feed water heater (low and high) and deaereator to increase unit efficiency
or rather bleed is the amount of steam drained out of the steam turbine during the expansion of steam and this rejected heat energy is used to heat the feed water supplied to the boiler...........
What is the Coefficient of thermal expansion of 316 stainless steel?
1.59 e-6/Deg C. and will vary slightly depending on Grades
How do you make an excel graph with a logarithmic scale?
first make your graph with all the points and then once you've done that and you have your graph... double click on one of the scale values on either the x or y axis, look for the 'scale' tab and check the box 'logarithmic scale'....hope it helps
The above is incorrect. There is no option for log scale on the x axis. The data will have to be provided in in logarithmic scale for the x axis to depict it as such.
What are the pros and cons of having the job mechanical engineer?
Positive- Depending on where you go, it can be a great gateway into other types of engineering and concintrations. I am a mechanical engineering who is completing there education at Kettering University. Kettering is a good place to go if you are thinking mechanical because of the experience you get while going there. You should graduate with at least two years of experience.
Negative- its a dying field. Automotive is a bad place to be, but if you can get the jobs its a great learning experience.
Device to increase speed of spinning shaft?
This depends on several considerations.
Need a single shaft to increase speed. Apply additional torque
Need a shaft in a series of shafts to run faster, change the drive ratio.
And so on.
What type of steel is spring steel?
Spring steel is a low alloy, medium carbon steel or high carbon steel with a very high yield strength. This allows objects made of spring steel to return to their original shape despite significant bending or twisting.
Applications include piano wire, spring clamps, antennas, and springs.
Which architectual and engineering innovations most influenced the development of the skyscraper?
Im not for sure so plz use another site and someone plz update this. Some freak keeps writing things that dont answer the question. Sorry thanks for reading :)
What are the different types of computer maintenance?

Why is force exerted on a small piston multiplied when it acts on a larger pistion?
Suppose the smaller piston was 1 square cm and the large piston was 7 square cm. If you pushed on the small piston, the force would be multiplied 7 times on the large piston.
The Hydraulic System is a system that uses liquids to transmit pressure and multiply force in a confined fluid.
Hope this helped. (:
A simple turbine.
Air is drawn into the engine continuously and compressed by a series of rotating blades. Fuel is sprayed into the combustion chamber and burnt increasing the gas temperature to around 1200C.
The hot high pressure gas expands through a second set of blades mounted on the same shaft as the compressor blades. The energy of the gas is partially expended powering the compressor, but has a residual energy which is either expended as a hot jet (resulting in thrust) or which drives a further independent set of blades to power a propeller or other device.

Pipe schedule tell you something about the wall thickness of a pipe.
Higher schedule means thicker wall.
The actual thickness must be read from a pipe specification sheet, as it differs from material to material. Typical pipe sch. are Sch 20, 40, 80, 160, XS, XXS.
What is the properties of copper pipe?
The Properties of various types of copper tubes like PVC coated copper tubes, copper square tubes etc. are as follows :
What are the advantages and disadvantage of cold working of a metal?
Cold working is the plastic deformation shaping process of metals which is performed below recrystallization temperature. Usually, recrystallization temperature is 40% of melting point temperature (TR=0.40xTM). Advantages are; no oxides on the surface after operation, no hydrogen embrittlement, lower costs for process and equipment, hardening from strain. Disadvantages are; stress in the body therefore mostly it needs recovery process, much more load power necessity for plastic deformation, it becomes brittle depends to cold working percentage.

What are the advantages of free turbine engine over gas turbine engine?
A gas turbine engine will usually yield more power by weight than a piston engine. Main downside is that it can't be throttled very well. Energy efficiency isn't all that good to start with, and will drop right down if it has to be operated outside its optimum range.
Is steel stronger than aluminum?
It heavily depends on which type of stainless steel you're referring to and what your definition of strong is. High carbon and perhaps plain carbon steels would be harder then austenite and ferritic stainless, but martensitic stainless would be harder then plain/high carbon. Austenite and ferritic stainless would be tougher and austenite would have have highest degree of corrosion resistance.
I consider a steel to be "strong" if it has a balance of hardness and toughness in which case,I would say martensitic stainless steels.
What is the definition of hypermesh?
Hypermesh is a high-performance finite element pre- and post-processor for major finite element solvers, allowing engineers to analyze design conditions in a highly interactive and visual environment
