To me it sounds like you have just had an early period which could have been brought on by stress. You seemed to have bled for many days which makes me suspect that you might have had a miscarriage. If you're leaking through three ultra absorbency tampons in an hour you do have heavy flow - in theory that's around 18ml of flow per tampon. This is very heavy but not necessarily a sign of a problem, heavy flow can be more common if you have a hormonal imbalance such as if you're in your teens, and some people just have heavier flow than others.
Talk to your doctor to make sure everything is okay and to get treatment like Tranexamic Acid to lighten your flow.
