How do you reset the clock on a 2006 Mercedes Benz clk350?
The Operator's Manual reads: First access the time/date submenu through the settings menu. Use the +/- to the Time/Date submenu. Use the arrow keys until you can see the message "Clock, hours, confirm by press. R" appears. Press + or - to set the hour, use the arrow keys to move to the minutes....
The manual also says "Press the reset button in the instrument cluster to confirm, the hour is set and stored." WHEN you have the clock set to hour you want - you need to momentarily (1 sec or less) press the RESET button just to the left of the instrument panel and THEN your analog clock will reset itself. The hands move by themselves to the time you have set.
You MUST touch the reset button at the end of setting the digital clock (while you're still on the same screen). I just did this on my 2006 CLK 350 and it worked!
Where is the oil drain plug on a clk 320?
The best way to drain the oil out of a 320 engine is not through the drain plug. The best way (Same way the Mercedes dealer does it) is by the "Topsider" method. You need to buy a fluid extractor kit (About $50) which is a nothing more than a hand pump. You stick a small hose (Comes in the kit) into the dipstick tube, prime the hand pump and release a clamp (Also part of the kit). With the engine oil warm it takes about 30 minutes to extract all the oil. You then need a filter removal wrench (Less than $10) to remove the filter cap on top right side of the engine. Pull out the filter assembly, remove the old filter, install the new filter (With 4 O-rings than come with filter). Reinstall filter assembly and place cap back on. Add oil and done. Note if using extended intervals between oil cjanges use the "Fleece" oil filters, if not use the "Paper" filters, but you will need to change the oil more frequenly. How do you reset srs light in Mercedes clk 320 2004?
A frequent question. There are dozens of ways, apparently, depending on the car model and year. So my favorite was is to drive into a Mercedes Benz dealership and ask them to reset the light.
Even better, wait until you need an oil change and drive in and ask them to do service "A" on the car. Be sure to get a cost estimate first.
Without knowing the possible chemical ins and outs of that, I would, yes. "Better safe than sorry" is always a wise dictum.
I had the exact same problem with my 2002 CLK430 cabriolet. Everything seemed fine 99% of the time, but when I drove over and uneven surface diagonally--- like pulling into a gas station on a slightly higher grade than the road --- I could hear a distinct THUNK from under the car. Mine sounded like it was coming from the forward part of the car.
The problem was a loose bolt that holds together a couple of pieces of metal that add structural support to the vehicle. I think they are specific to the cab, but not sure. Solution was to disconnect the pieces, clean them off really well and bolt them back together REALLY tight.
If the problem is ignored for too long, the pieces in question can degrade to the point where they must be replaced at substantial expense. This was not the case for me. I think the cost at my local German Indy specialist was less than $100 for the fix. I haven't heard a peep since.

Taking a guess here, but make sure the sliding top cover is in the proper slot. When its locked in place, on either side, the plastic sliders will close two safety switches required for the top to operate. Found this on my 2000 model the hard way, good luck.
How do you reset service indicator message on a 2007 Mercedes clk350?
Actually you are neither stupid nor cheap! The gentleman who answered your question was wrong about how to reset the service indicator and also wrong by lending his own opinion on this matter. I salute you for doing your oil change and hopefully brake pads. Here is the correct answer to your question: 1. GET IN THE CAR AND CLOSE ALL DOORS 2. TURN THE KEY INTO POSITION 2 3. SCROLL THROUGH THE MENU USING THE KNOBS ON THE STEERING WHEEL TILL YOU REACH THE MESSAGE STATING WHAT SERVICE IS EXCEEDED AND BY HOW MANY DAYS 4. PRESS &&&&& HOLD THE "RESET" BUTTON UNTIL THE MENU SCREEN CHANGES AND ASKS YOU TO CONFIRM SERVICE RESET 5. TO CONFIRM, PRESS&&&&HOLD THE RESET BUTTON UNTIL THE MENU SCREEN CHANGES AND CONFIRMS THE RESET BY TELLING THAT NEXT SERVICE IS IN X AMOUNT OF MILES HOPE IT WORKS! Get to the BAsic screen. (Press the +- buttons until the buttons work.)
Press -> until it asks if you want to reset the oil life and to press the reset button.
The reset button is at the left side of the instrument panel.
Stop being cheap and stupid. An oil change by someone who knows what they're doing and won't break anything takes about 2.5 hours and will cost $500 or less. What did you pay for the car?

How difficult is it to repair the speedometer and odometer and how expensive?
The head unit pulls out with out unscrewing anything. You need two wire hooks to pull the head unit from the housing towards the steering wheel. It's a press fit in the dash panel. It is advisable to remove the steering wheel to facilitate removal. With SRS in the steering wheel you must disconnect the battery for at least 30 minutes before removing the SRS to prevent deployment of the air bag. You will also need to have the radio code to code the radio after reconnecting the battery. Due to the complexity of the unit it is advisable to replace it with a used unit.
Where are battery terminals for 1998 Mercedes Benz clk 320?
Under the hood or in the trunk. If your battery is in the trunk there is a positive terminal under the hood in a plastic box in front of the driver. You can use this terminal to get electrical power to the car, if the battery is dead.
You will need to find a metal ground (or negative terminal) anywhere on the engine or metal frame.
Do not use this terminal to start the car, only to give power to the door locks and the trunk lid.
Do not close the trunk lid if you remove the battery from the trunk as you will be forced to use your metal key in the lock and those work only after you have created a completely new vocabulary of four letter words.

How much is a service on a Mercedes Benz CLk 320?
Service B at the dealership will set you back over $500.00 including $129.00 for the oil change. The CLK 320 engine holds eight quarts of oil and we use synthetic motor oil of high quality. A number of engine and cabin filters are changed in this service level.
Service A is a little less expensive because fewer filter changes are included. Basically it's just an oil change and a safety review of the stuff that keep you going straight down the road.
The service modules are about 15,000 miles apart so for most folks that is more than a year between A and B.

What type of gasoline is used in a 2008 Mercedes CLK?
I used top octane in my 1998 E320 before gas prices got up to $4.00 - now I use the middle octane. Mercedes recommends Premium fuel because of the way the engine is designed and the sensors. It runs much better on premium anyways. and if you cant afford the premium gas you have no business owning a mercedes.
