Is it normal that I am 4 weeks pregnant and am having really bad cramps when I lie down for a couple of hours without elevating my upper body?

Experiencing cramps during early pregnancy can be common, as your body undergoes various changes. However, if the cramps are severe or accompanied by other symptoms like bleeding, it's important to consult a healthcare professional for personalized advice. Elevating your upper body may help alleviate discomfort, but monitoring your symptoms is key. Always prioritize your health and seek guidance if you're concerned.

If you missed your birth control for three days and started bleeding a week before your period and bleed while having sex. Is this normal?

There is no danger in skipping periods by skipping the placebo pills in your birth control pack, but this may result in bleeding between periods. When you get to the end of this pack, think about taking a break by taking your placebo pills - but don't take a break for longer than seven days. Then start the new pack. Some women note that if they take a short break of 4-5 days when spotting starts, then restart the pill, the spotting is more controllable.

If at eight weeks your breast tenderness is going away and now only your nipples are sensitive is this normal or are you going to miscarry?

If your eight weeks pregnant and your breast tenderness goes away, it doesn't mean that you are going to miscarry. Everyone's body is different. It's o.k. If your so worried than why don't you go get an ultrasound to see if your baby is alright. It's good to get ultrasounds early in your pregnancy anyway.

I am 6 weeks pregnant and I have been spotting brownish blood for the last 2 days with light cramping is this normal?

No, you shouldn't have any bleeding what so ever, the best way to know how you are doing is checking in with your doctor. Your baby is very important so take eveything serious.

After a miscarriage do you stay in the hospital over night?

depends on how late the miscarriage is, and how much bleeding it causes. Early misscarriages usually don't cause much bleeding, so not much point in hospitalization. Late misscarriages can be rather messy and quite dangerous for the woman, so are more probable to lead to some hospitalization.

How can you have a sucessfull miscarriage?

Since people use the word miscarriage for more then one thing, miscarriage and abortion, I will direct both those issues.

Miscarriage: It's not much you can do once it started. You do however need to go see a doctor and get examined so there's nothing left inside. That will give you infections if it's not removed.

Abortion: To have a successful, safe and legal abortion you have to go to a doctor. There is no other way. They need to determine how far along you are to decide if you can have a medical or surgical abortion. You can contact Planned Parenthood for more info on your options and where to turn:

Can you have a heavy period with blood clots and still have pregnancy symptoms could i still be pregnant or did i have a miscarriage?

You could have had a miscarriage, but even though you've suffered heavy bleeding with clots you could still be pregnant. It IS possible to be pregnant and still get your monthly period.
Either way, if you haven't done already, you MUST get yourself checked by a doctor - 1) to find out if you are still pregnant, and 2) to check you are OK internally. If you have suffered a miscarriage you have to get checked out by a doctor in case everything hasn't come out yet. Sorry to be so graphic.
Good luck

Can you be pregnant but have continuous bleeding early on. I am 7 weeks pregnant and have been lightly bleeding since week 5. I had an emergency scan last week and baby is fine. But why?

It is probably from implantation bleeding which occurs around 2 weeks after ovulation. Which is light and noticeable around week 4 (cause most don't know they're pregnant and are looking for their period) If it is brown, it is not fresh blood. You have no need to worry unless it becomes heavy and red w/ clots. I had a miscarriage 4 weeks ago so I know what to look for. You may also have cramps; I did not. But the bleeding was heavier than my normal period.

But like I said you have nothing to worry about unless you are in pain or the blood is red and/or heavy.

BTW Congratulations and I'm sure everything is fine :)

8 days after a miscarriage is it fine to have protected sex?

You should wait one month due to the higher risk of infection since your cervix is still open.

If you have a miscarriage while 4 months pregnant do you have to deliver the baby?

You don't HAVE to.. I just went through this exact same situation. We decided to go ahead and deliver our baby to have our time to say goodbye to him. At this point in the pregnancy you have a fully formed baby not just a mass of cells inside of you.. The medical differences are that the a procedure such as a D&C or D&E will extract the baby out of you in pieces. Whereas if you deliver the baby you obviously have some closure by being able to say your goodbyes. I pulled one of our nurses aside and asked her to help me come to an informed decision. This is basically what she told me. This really helped me make my decision. In hindsight, I feel as though we made the best decision for us and our baby boy and I wouldn't of had it any other way.

I hope this helps you make this very very difficult decision and I give you my condolences.

Btw, I lost my baby boy at 17weeks 5days.

How can you keep sperry topsiders tied?

The most difficult lace to keep tied is a rawhide leather one and these are usually found on boat shoes of all brands. The trick is to tie the bow like a half hitch knot. You will have to look up how to tie that as it is too complicated for this answer. Roughly speaking is the "bows" lie across your shoe you have it right, if they lie parallel to the shoe length > try tying them backwards than your usual method and it should work.

Can somEone get pregnant after a miscarriage?

Yes most people do. Miscarriage is quite common, about 1/3 pregnancies end in miscarriage. If you have problems afterwards it could be something linked to the reason you had the miscarriage in the first place and then you would need to be evaluated by a doctor.

Will a pregnant woman have a miscarriage if she was hit in the stomach?

Yes. And alot less could cause a miscarriage so tell Him to not mess with you. If you are trying to abort you are risking your own life attempting to cause a spontaneous abortion. Y-THINK-Y Falling down stairs will not likely cause a miscarraige, blows to the stomach may depending on the force. It is more likely to hurt the mother than the baby because the baby is well protected inside. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ANY shock trauma to the body can cause serious complications to the pregnancy. Physical shock can cause Psychological trauma resulting in complications with ANY pregnancy. The fact that a question like this is being posed makes one wonder what is the emotional status of the enquirer. Fear and doubt are very strong emotions that can manifest in sever physical ways.
