There is an adjuster at the handbrake lever you have to remove the plastic surround to access this adjuster. However there is an aduster on each rear wheel as well. If you remove the wheel you will see a small round rubber plug you will need to remove this plug and rotate the disk whilst looking into the hole and near the bottom of the rotation you should be able to see an adjuster mounted between the brake shoes. You should be able to turn the adjuster with a flat screwdriver.

You have to take the a/c control panel off. You may mess up more than $75 worth.

The fuel pump is located inside the fuel tank. You can only acces the fule pump by removing the fule tank, this can be done by emptying the tank, jacking up the rear of the car and lowering the tank. disconect fule line before droping tank then disconect electric wires.

There are 2 Oxygen sensors on the Lancer. The 1st one is in the exhaust manifold and the other is after the catalytic convertor. The sensor in the exhaust manifold if easy to change. Open your hood and look at the front of your engine, you will see a heat shield with a hole in it. In that hole is a plug with wires coming out that is the O2 sensor (upstream). Use a 12mm wrench or socket to take off the 4 bolts on the heat shield. Follow the wires to a connector and disconnect the wiring harness. Move the heat shield so that you can bring it straight up out of the car. Use a 22mm wrench to loosen the O2 sensor. Finish spinning the sensor and wiring harness out. Once it is out take it to the parts store with you. You want to make sure you get a replacement that has the wiring harness and connector on the end. Don't get the universal O2 sensor unless you like to rewire connectors. Installation is very easy. Spin the sensor in, use the wrench to make it snug. You don't need to use much pressure. Put the wiring harness through the hole on the heat shield and connect it to the old one was attached to. Install the 4 bolts on the heat shield, clean up your tools, close the hood and you are done.

where is the fuel pump relay fr 2000 lancer

Im not sure if there is, if its even the choke that needs fixing. I have been told by a mechanic we had the same problem with our car. I have a 1995 Lancer cc 1.5l carby 5 door hatch. It started running really rough on start up when cold and bad generally when at normal operating temp after taking it to be serviced one time, so we took it to a mechanic who told us the automatic choke had to be replaced with a manual one at a cost of at least $1500. The car only started running bad after taking it to him for a service, when i quizzed him on this he just told me it was a coincidence so i took the car to a different mechanic. Turns out the first mechanic let his apprentice do the timing and he stuffed it royally, it was out 11 degrees. Fixed for $40. Car back to 100%. So I would be careful about the choke, if its even the choke that needs replacing. Make sure your timing is correct, distributor cap points are clean and free of corrosion, check the compression of the cylinders, check plugs and leads. I would suggest doing all the above before trying to fix a choke. (unless you know for absolute certain that is the problem). If its a carby, make sure its all clean and in workin order. (not too many mechanics left who know how to properly deal with carbys) Get a second or third opinion. Dont trust 'tradesmen you can trust' either, because they are untrustworthy

open the trunk and inside you should see the rear plastic panel of your lancer's tail lights. undo the screws(should be 3 screws/PC) using Philips screw driver and gently pull the assembly off. you should see 3 light bulbs. replace whichever is busted. make sure you install the correct bulbs for each socket.:)

on an 03 lancer there are 2 screws and they are on the outside of the car when you open the trunk. remove then pull out assembly and change bulbs.

Let me give you some examples to work from:

Black smoke signifies more fuel is being burned than air. Fixes: new air filter needed, restricted exhaust system, EGR failure, excessive fuel distribution, and improper grade of fueld

White smoke is caused by condensing liquid in the exhaust gas stream. Causes: low cylinder compression pressure, cylinder misfire (which would be indicated by a CEL), coolant leakage, and low combustion temp.

Blue smoke is caused by lube oil getting involved in the combustion process. With diesel engines, this is referred to as 'blowby' where the oil injected into a piston to cool it 'blows by' the piston o-ring in the cylinder, therefore getting involved in the combustion process.
