Is 2314.7mb equal to 1.2 GB smaller or bigger?

1.2 GB is bigger. A handy tool is google. Just search something like "1.2 GB in MB".

What output do you plug a monitor into on a mixer if the mixer has main mix outputs plus separate control room output phones output and stereo tape outputs?

If this is the only speaker you are using, use the Main Mix outputs. The stereo tape outputs will not be controlled by the Main Mix fader/knob. If you are using main speakers plus an additional monitor, use an auxiliary send on the mixer to allow the creation of an independent monitor mix.

What does 5 gigabytes mean?

Each byte has eight bits of information, i.e., either a 1 or a zero. A giga byte is 1,000,000,000 bytes of information or 1 GB.

How do you know if a speaker is magnetically shielded?

The only way I can think of is by detecting the presence of a magnetic field around it. Of course, you can simply put it near your (CRT!) monitor and watch if the colors get twisted around, but that's what you try to avoid, right? Still, if it was sold as a computer speaker, it probably is. If you've got an old black-and-white TV set somewhere, you can swing the speaker around it without fear, it can't harm it, and if the picture doesn't distort, it's shielded. If you've got an LCD monitor, it doesn't matter, they are not affected. Or you can just open the speaker enclosure and see if the speaker magnet feels significantly magnetic to a piece of iron. Shielded speakers actually have another magnet stuck to their back, that cancels out almost completely the actual speaker magnet's field. The two magnets are oriented such that they are actually repelling each other like mad, otherwise they would add up their fields not cancel them. So there you go...

If an amp runs 1000 w rms at 1ohm how do you wire a dual 4 ohm speaker to run at 1 ohm?

the impedance of a speaker is a characteristic that is has. A 4 ohm speaker will always have a 4 ohm impedance and it cannot be changed.

If 2 speakers of 4 ohm impedance are wired in parallel, then the total impedance will be 2 ohms. Similarly, if you wire 4 speakers together, the total impedance will be 1 ohm.

Wiring a 2 ohm speaker to an amplifier rated to drive a 1 ohm load should work without any problems but expect the total power output to be somewhat lower than with a 1 ohm load.

Can you hook up 4 speakers to a 2 channel amp?

take the positive from speaker A and twist the copper wire together with the positive wire from speaker B. then take those two (positive) wires from A and B and put it in Channel 1 positive terminal. then take the negative from speaker A and twist the copper wire together with the negative wire from speaker B. take those two (negative) wires and put them in the negative terminal under channel 1. then do the same for your other 2 speakers, except in channel 2

How does a field coil speaker work?

A: A speaker has a magnet and the wire is suspended in a zone by a cone whereby +/- current will make the coil move up or down moving the coil and moving the cone causing air displacement as waves of pressure that our ears can detect as sounds in our brains.

How do you add album artwork to more than one song at a time?

Firstly, you will need to select all of the songs. Do this by pressing Shift and the down arrow to highlight a whole album. Secondly, make sure you have the item's artwork/video viewer shown in the bottom left hand corner. If it isn't you will need to click on the upwards arrow, which should be the fourth button from the left. Finally, copy and paste the album artwork you would like into the box in the bottom left hand corner and it should start processing it into each of the items you have selected. CAUTION: Be aware that you shouldn't select a song already containing album artwork as the item will then contain two images instead of one. However this will not be noticeable unless you are to go into 'Get Info' and 'Artwork'.

Who invented the record player?

In 1877, Thomas Edison (1847-1931) invented the phonograph, which originally used cylinders of metal or wax. The first true "record player" using disks was the "gramophone" patented by German-American inventor Emile Berliner in 1888.

What would technology be like without lasers?

Without lasers, many modern technologies would be significantly less advanced or entirely absent. For instance, optical communication systems, including fiber optics, rely heavily on lasers for transmitting data over long distances. Additionally, medical technologies, such as laser surgery and imaging, would lack the precision and efficacy they currently provide. Overall, fields like telecommunications, manufacturing, and medicine would face major limitations in efficiency and innovation.

How many speakers would you need for a quadraphonic sound system?

In theory, four. 'Quadro' means 'four'. It's a four-way system.

In practice, anything between four and six. Designs with a center and a subwoofer are sometimes called 'quadrophonic', because they don't truly receive a 5.1 signal, but rather - derive the low frequencies using band-pass filters, and get the 'center' signal from somewhat-merging the front-left and front-right together.

Do keep in mind that anything driven from a stereo output is stereo, no matter how creative the hardware designers get. Pay attention to the number of jacks you get with a particular sound system - a 5.1 system will have three or four (good quality systems will also sport an S/PDIF connector, through which a 5.1 audio signal encoded using Dolby DTS or some other system can be sent), and a quadro system should have two stereo jacks.

Also, remember that in order to get more than two speakers, your amplifier/primary stage/device/computer must also feature more than one output for this purpose. If this is a PC, the software used for playback must also support these features. Regardless of the device, the source (DVD, music file etc.) must also provide more than two signals encoded on them, in order to enable quadro, 5.1 or 7.1 speaker configurations. If the DVD you're playing has only stereo sound, you'll only get stereo.

How do you insert optical audio jack?
