To learn Chinese ,there are three steps for Survival Chinese.

First Pinyin, u should learn how to pronounce and learn the Chinese alphabet.

Second, the basic grammar and useful sentences for daily life.

Third the Chinese Characters, because each pinyin has hundreds of Chinese Characters ,but different meaning, so will be easily confused after learning for sometime.

And as far as i am concerned, the best way to learn Chinese is make yourself stay at immersion environment!

Moreover, you can learn Chinese on-line with native qualified teacher on camera, conversing directly - even if you are separated by vast geographic distances. You can hear the teacher's correct pronunciation, and see what the teacher writes on the board. When you imitates the sounds, the teacher can correct your pronunciation.

The last point is that how to choose yr teacher, u should find a teacher with several years teaching experience, and teaching in large Mandarin School is better. They are professional trained and will be exactly responsible for u.
