if its a sohc the firing order is 1-3-5 then 2-4-6 odd cylinder is the back near the fire wall and as far as the distrubitor it should be numbered.

If it is wet with engine coolant you have a leaky heater core.If it is wet with water you have a plugged AC condensation drain.

Nissan Maxima SE... the SE means Sport Edition and it will be equipped with white instrument panel gauges, a rear spoiler and aluminum wheels.

The flasher relay is located underneath the gauge cluster to the right of the stearing column. You do not need to remove anything to see or touch the relay, it is level with the bottom of the trim right above where your right leg rests when driving. Above, not to the right or left. Very easy to find. For future reference, many of these questions can be answered by picking up a Haynes manuel for your car. Fantastic resource. Code P1400 means EGR solenoid valve or circuit fault

if your horn is stuck on makin noise pull the fuse out... or you can remove the whole horn assembly from underneath the hood

Not sure if this will help or not, but a CD gets stuck in my GM car about once a year. In order to get it out, I cut off all power to the CD player by removing the appropriate fuse for about 15 seconds. I put the fuse back in, push eject, and the CD always comes right out.

Do you have the Engine light ON? If so, Get a OBDII reader from Wal-Mart or any store that you can return it if does not work for you. Plug it in under the driver side dash boot. There should be a port to plug it in. Fallow the OBDII instructions. You will get some code (i.e. P0301, P3402). Then check the code in the Book (The book comes with the OBDII Reader). ************* I had this same thing happen while driving. There were two problems. One, my fuel filter was clogged and needed to be replaced. Two, there is a mesh bag connected to the fuel pump (inside the fuel tank) that was extremely dirty and restricted fuel when the fuel was lower than 1/4 tank. Both are do it yourself jobs, if you have a good repair manual.

Parts and labor to replace the timing chain on a Nissan Maxima will easily exceed over $1,500.00. If you have to incur the expense, might as well also spend another $500.00 to replace the water pump. [Note: when that timing chain goes, you lose the engine. Engine-replacement is over $3,000.]

The timing chain shouldn't really break. "Going-bad" will be where the timing chain is getting loose and the sound of the chain flapping around inside its assembly can actually be heard as you rev the engine. Have a reliable mechanic give you their assessment of what's happening with the timing chain (and the water pump). Might as well get a second mechanic give a second opinion.

Pull the black tube that connects to the top of the EGR valve itself and plug it with something. I used a metal coat hanger head but I recommend something metal that is non-flammable and straight.
