it means that one of your brake lights are out .thats why it only lights up when you hit the brakes. once you replace it , the light will go off.

Open the trunk and take off the fabric piece that is located right behind the light. Push and turn the bulb. The bulb should come out just fine.

I'm not trying to be a smart aleck here but obviously you have a leak somewhere. It could be anywhere, the roof, the windows, the door seals, the floor pan, the trunk lid, the trunk floor pan, etc. , but if the moisture is restricted to behind the front seats, then I would start looking there.

It is located in the console (under the radio). It is accessed by taking off the cover by the accelerator. The ECM can be controlled by a screw (which may be behind some tape) on the left of the device. Turn clockwise and hold for two seconds. Turn screw back to the original position. The engine light will now blink the appropriate codes repeatedly. Count the slow blinks followed by the fast blinks. So "blink --- blink ------- blink-blink-blink" would be read as 2-3.

The codes will repeat until the car is started. So, there is no rush to check the counts after you turn the screw.

it has to do with you emergency brake probaly cause there is an electrical problem somewhere check the fuses or if your e brake is acctually on

First disconnect the Negative terminal cable, then the positive cable (with red cover). Remove the battery holddown. Remove the plastic battery cover, then the battery. Make sure the new battery is of the proper size (see chart in store). Reverse procedure, making sure you connect the Positive terminal first and the negative terminal last (it's a good idea to clean the inside of the cable terminals with emery cloth or steel wool). When putting in the new battery, be careful that the negative cable does not fall into the space below or you will have to remove the new battery to get to it. Start the engine and reset the clock and radio presets.

First you want to safely jackup your car's front end and place some jack stands underneath for safety , I just replaced the passenger side headlamp (9012 high/Low halogen bulb) , I paid about $80.00 for the bulb , outrageous price , I feel robbed

next I removed the tire , then the plastic undercovering , then I loosen the coolant jug and lay it over out of the way

also disconnect the negative battery terminal

just underneath the plastic underliner or covering you will see the place to change out the bulb , a white dome like cover , this cover need to be turn counterclockwise maybe a quarter turn more-or-less

I also removed a little bracket , that the coolant jug sit on , so that my hand could turn the white dome-like cover , you may have to turn it a little bit from the top , but mainly turn the white cover counterclockwise from the plastic liner area

looking at the white dome-like cover , there is plastic to your right and metal to your left , I grabbed a pair of plier and bent the metal obstruction outward a little bit to actually take the white dome-like cover out of the way , once the white cover has been moved , now you can turn the halogen bulb counterclockwise to remove it

If the brake pedal is soft on a 1997 Ford F-150, then there is a good chance that there is air in the brake line. This can be remedied by bleeding the brakes system.

i have the code p0403 in nissan maxima 2000 i want to know how i can fix

"A" Camshaft Position - Timing Over-Advanced or System Performance (Bank 1)

symptoms
Hard starting, bad idle and possibly stalling issues

caused by
Incorrect camshaft timing
Wiring issues (harness/wiring) in intake timing control valve control solenoid system
Steady oil flow to VCT piston chamber
Faulty timing valve control solenoid (stuck open)

the fix
This code indicated a mechanical issue, electrical troubleshooting wont help so replacement of the VCT or one of it's related components is necessary.

* Remove the windshield wiper arms * Remove the cowl cover * Disconnect the electrical connectorr from the wiper motor * Detach the wiper motor/linkage assembly from the cowl * Remove the wiper motor retaining bolts and remove the motor

This refers to the second oxygen sensor on Bank 1. Bank 1 is the same side of the engine that cylinder 1 is on, the very front cylinder on the drivers side. It could need to be replaced, or there could be a short to voltage on the O2 signal circuit, or it could also be that the connector has been corroded, and needs to just be cleaned. I believe this code is the same for all vehicles.

Yes, I just bought one from an auction, and thought the car was beautiful. Except the a/c won't get cold. The dealer took it for repairs and the mechanic said they needed to change the compressor, so they did. It went warm again, and they then said it was an a/c valve...they changed that and it was cold for a second then went warm again. I purchased the car 3 weeks ago and it's been in the shop since then. I've only driven it a couple of times on the weekend. This is getting to be ridiculous....any suggestions?
