In 1938 Albert Einstein wrote a letter to President Roosevelt outlining what it would take to produce an Atomic Bomb. He also said the German Scientists under Hitler were also working on the Bomb. This is the beginning of the MANHATTAN PROJECT the TOP SECRET race to build the Atomic Bomb.

In Nazi Germany SS Reichsfurher Heinrich Himmler was put in charge of the Nazi Nuclear Bomb program. Through Lies and deception he kept the British MI6 very confused throughout the war. In January 1943 the Junkers factory produced a long range Junkers JU-390 Recon aircraft. This was to take pictures of Michigan and New York and prove that a manned aircraft could bomb New York. This was also a message Hitler was sending Roosevelt to not even think about using the Atomic Bomb on Berlin. On August 27th this long range JU-390 took off from Norway. It conducted air to air refueling over Iceland at 8,000 feet with a JU-290 Tanker aircraft! It then proceded into Canadian Air Space. On the dawn of August 28th it was over Michigan taking pictures of Factories. On noon of Aug. 28th the JU-390 flew over the Empire State Building at 8,000 feet taking vital pictures of New York! Hans Joachim Pancherz and Anna Kreisling were the pilot and Co-pilot of this historic Luftwaffe flight. 14 hours later Anna Kreisling would bring the huge six engined aircraft into land at a base outside of Paris.

I am currently doing an assignment that involves this. Here is what I came up with for pros.

7a) Pro: The bombing of Hiroshima opened the door to the nuclear age, which meant more war. Some people in the armed forces live for war. Without war many would be jobless and would struggle to provide for their families.

A nuclear weapon completely vaporizes itself and anything that is very close. This vapor is largely vaporized metals but will include many other elements. As this vapor cools the oxygen in air will convert it to metal oxides and other oxides (most of which will be radioactive due to the neutron radiation at the time of detonation). The vast majority of these various oxides will condense out as solids on dust and sand grains. However any sulfur oxides and nitrogen oxides will remain gaseous and can combine with water later to form acid rain.

Some radioactive Noble Gases (e.g. Xenon) are also emitted.

Fusion (thermonuclear) bombs can be classified into 'dirty' and 'clean' bombs, depending on the material used for their fusion stage(s) tamper. Normally depleted uranium is used, this produces a very high yield 'dirty' bomb as the uranium fissions providing as much as 90% of the yield and large amounts of fallout. If you are willing to sacrifice most of the weapon's potential yield (but the yield is still very high), you can replace the fusion stage(s) tamper with non-fissionable metals (e.g. lead, tungsten, iron) and get what is called a 'clean' bomb that in some cases produces 5% or less of the fallout of similar yield bombs with uranium tampers.

There are also bombs called 'salted' bombs where selected elements are added to the uranium tamper to make the fallout worse at a minor loss in yield depending on how much of these elements are added. Sometimes these are referred to as 'dirty' fusion bombs, when the standard uranium tamper bomb is referred to as a 'conventional' fusion bomb.
