OBD Diagnostic Codes

It is a code that says that there is a problem in the fuel level sensor.

It could be wiring or a faulty sensor.

TO repair remove fuel tank, inspect and repair wiring as needed. If no wiring fault found replace sensor, normally part of the fuel pump assembly. Some Fords are seperate parts

It is in the remote door key fob for your car.

The OBD plug is under the dash on the driver side.

Trouble code P1151 means: Lack of HO2S bank 2,sensor 1 switches,sensor indicates lean

Trouble code P0175 means: System too rich (Bank 2)

Trouble code P0046 means: Turbo/supercharger boost control solenoid circuit range/performance problem

To repair the P0120 code you need replace the Throttle Position Sensor/Switch. You will find it located on the throttle body of the intake manifold in the engine compartment of your vehicle.

Trouble code P0075 means: Intake valve control solenoid circuit (Bank 1)

P0300 Diagnostic Code - Random Misfire

Symptoms.
Engine may stumble or miss
Engine may be hard to start
you may notice no issues

Cause
Failing spark plugs or spark plug wires
Bad coil or coil pack
Failing oxygen sensor(s)
Bad fuel injector or more than one
Stuck exhaust valve
Bad catalytic converter
EGR valve or valve passage clogging
Bad camshaft position sensor
Bad PCM or ECM

The Fix
Best first action is a tune up, new plugs, wires, inspect all hoses and wire connections then reset the code. If it returns you will need to narrow it down to a system, coils and coil packs should be tested, catalytic converters for function ( do you smell rotten eggs?). A misfire that jumps cylinders could indicate a lean condition, do you have any other codes along with the 300? this will help clue you in to the source, check valve function to make sure they are opening and closing fully.
This is probably pone of the most difficult codes to troubleshoot, so start with the basics and work your way into the more expensive options, in many cases a good old tune up solves the problem, back it up with a fuel system cleaning and see where you stand.

I got this vehicle from a friend and the thermostat wasnt put in quite right so we pulled over and fixed it. However the car didnt start after that. I then found that the error code six was blinking, could this part make the car completely out of running order? And yes error code 6 is all that came up.

P0108 - Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
Yes, the MAP sensor may be bad, but check the electrical connection first, if a new one does not fix the issue, and you have ruled out all wiring issues the ECM may be to blame.

P0405 EGR Sensor A Circuit Low

Causes
Short to ground in EGR signal or Reference circuits
Short to voltage in EGR ground or signal circuits
Bad EGR valve
Bad PCM wiring issues due to chafing or loose terminals

EGR valves get a lot of nasty gases passed through them, sometimes fixing the issue involves a good cleaning, others mean replacing the valve, cold weather can cause intermittent codes as well.

Use a scan tool to operate the valve, if it does not respond try checking for voltage at the connector.

Trouble code P0402 means:Exhaust gas recirculation flow excessive detected

Trouble code P0514 means: Battery temperature sensor circuit range/performance problem

The code should be cleared after 40 to 80 consecutive warm up cycles with no problems. the code can also be cleared using the scan tool after the problem has been fixed, or to diagnosis an intermittent problem.
