Can a person travel after they have finish their probation?
Any restriction on your movement or travel will be specificaltl stated in your probation papers. To be certain - contact your Probation Officer, or the court which sentenced you.
ok I am going to add to this answer because i freaked out a few times in the last 12 months when i did this and read all these useless post commented on by people with zero experience with it. I have been on supervised probation for the past two years and it just ended last week, while on probation i went to cancun mexico without permission from my probation officer on two occasions, traveled domestically using airplanes dozens of times without permission and even asked for permission to go to rome italy and got denied, went anyway and had no problem, bottom line, as long as you schedule your trip around your monthly meeting, make your payments, and dont draw attention to yourself while overseas you will get away with it. probation offciers are state employees, not FBI agents, they dont have access to tsa records and even if they wanted them they would need to know the name of the airline the fight number etc to check if you traveled, passport records are not available to them at all. the only time they will know is if your license gets run by a cop in another state or u are arrested. behave and enjoy your trip!
to furthur ease your nerves, on my return fight from rome (the trip i got denied to go on) i connected with my return flight to boston at JFK, who have the record for customs busts, and going through customs was a breeze, nobody will know unless you =tell them

The abscondee will be detained by that state, who will notify the state of supervision. The supervising state will file for extradition, with which the detaining state will cooperate. The absconder will then be extradited back to the supervisong state where he will be charged with either absconding, fleeing and alluding, or escape. He will do a portion or all of his remaining sentence, and then satisfy the sentence of the second charge. In the case of being charged, usually a parolee is not charged with another offence. He is merely arrested on a technicality of absconding , failure to report, failure to pay fines and anything else they can dream up.(failure to attend req. classes etc) The parole sentence can sometimes "run out" before the offender is caught. The parole board can someteimes "toll" the sentence which means that the time credited towards the sentence stops running until the absconder is captured. In some cases the parole board can decline to pick up the abscondee due to budget concerns. (ex. spending $3000 to transfer a parole absconder from 4000 miles away when he only has days left on his sentence)
How can an early release from prison be granted?
If your sentence has a "possibility of parole" date on it, it is highly unlikely that you will be paroled until you have served at least that amount of time. However, there have been circumstances that have led to early parole, one of which I know is overcrowding in prisons. And if there is a circumstance in which early parole is offered, inmates are usually selected according to their behavior or the nature of their crime.
You can be paroled after you've served 1/3 of your sentence, depending on your behavior.

Can Rae Carruth get out early on good behavior?
Yes! And he has been pretty good in prison. The last time he got in trouble was in 2004 for fighting with another inmate. He got into another fight with an inmate over a pen and was written up for throwing the first punch. A few punches was thrown between Carruth and the fellow inmate. Rae was send to solitary confinement for 20 days but was released due to overcrowding. Other than that he's very low-key and hasn't been much of a trouble maker since. His PRD (projected release date) is October 2018, but he could be out in March 2016. Hope that helps. :)

When was Rodney Blackwell released from Angola Prison?
Yes most definitely. I am Rodney's wife. He is free now almost 8 yrs. Many people will ask many questions and answer themselves with what they want to think. Others will listen to the truth. Rodney's dicharge was 11-26-2004, time served, no paper. FREE. "Why" Rodney killed Charlie Dodds was and still is a highly politically decided decision. It doesn't matter what Rodney would say, the State of Louisiana says it is what it is. Those of us who love him know the truth. Margo is the daughter of Kitty Dodds and Rodney Blackwell. They both went to prison to keep their daughter and her son safe from a lunatic who would have eventually killed all of them and himself. Charlie had been let go from the New Orleans Police Dept. 4 yrs prior to his death due to psychiatric and psychotic diagnosis'. Both Dr'.'s reports stated he was a danger to himself and others, also schizophrenic. Louisiana would lose his applications for parole. So he did his time and lives a wonderful life now with 2 daughters and a son who pops in now and then.
... The End.

How do I report a parole violation?
Contact the phone number of the Parole and Probation Agency in your area. It should be located in the blue "government pages" of any phone directory.
In California, and possibly other states, it is easier and more efficient to report someone if you know the name of the parole or probation officer. You can get that by calling the Parole / Probation office. You will generally need the full name of the person and their date of birth. The process works much more efficiently if you can give your name and number, describe the person and the activities, and tell the officers where to find them. An anonymous tip left on the phone will generally do absolutely nothing, at least in California.
If the offenses are serious and there is evidence of the activities, call 911 and tell the dispatch that the parolee (with name, address, etc.) is on parole and is currently involved in (crime) against his parole. If the person lives in your home or your apartment building, you can give access to the police and parole officer without the permission of the parolee.
Once you take these steps, do not be stupid and wave what you have done in front of the violator.
