You must have Corel Photo Paint installed, click on image to select it ,right click and choose->edit bitmap , this command can be accessed and from bitmaps in menu.But you can also correct picture in corel draw without to invoke photo paint-select picture by clicking on it and from bitmaps drop down list choose noise for example

Adobe bought the rights from the developers: Thomas & John Knoll. In 1987, Thomas Knoll, a PhD student at the University of Michigan began writing a program on his Macintosh Plus to display grayscale images on a monochrome display. This program, called Display, caught the attention of his brother John Knoll, an Industrial Light & Magic employee, who recommended Thomas turn it into a fully-fledged image editing program. Thomas took a six month break from his studies in 1988 to collaborate with his brother on the program, which had been renamed ImagePro. Later that year, Thomas renamed his program Photoshop. Later John traveled to Silicon Valley and gave a demonstration of the program to engineers at Apple and Russell Brown, art director at Adobe. Both showings were successful, and Adobe decided to purchase the license to distribute in September 1988. Photoshop 1.0 was released in 1990 for Macintosh exclusively.

The Marquee tool is just a way of creating a selection in a certain shape. The rectangular marquee tool creates a selection in the shape of a rectangle (as you might imagine), whereas the elliptical marquee tool creates a selection in the shape of an ellipsis (oval) or circle.

Assuming the calendar in question is already a recognized graphic file (TIFF, PSD, JPEG, etc.), then you would use the Place feature to add the file to the document you're working on.

The Place feature is found in the main File menu; File>Place...., then select the graphic you wish to add.

The other way to do it is if the calendar file is open in another document file in Photoshop, by duplicating the layer into the document you wish to put it in.

Maybe you can use Photoshop which is the best photo editor for professional use. However, you can also use other programs like picture collage maker or Free image resizer.

Additional Information: A virus attacked my computer recently and wiped all of the programs from my programs folder (start>programs) If I go to search within the computer, it finds the files but I don't know which ones to look for or how to reinstall it.

PPI stands for pixels per inch or image resolution. In other words how many pixels per square inch are distributed horizontally and vertically.

Softening, you can soften edges of selection using Feather command from select > Modify > Feather or From Refine Edge dialog Select > Refine Edge. Feather also appears on Properties panel in Photoshop CS6 or Masks panel in previous versions to soften edges of pixel based or vector mask (you must select mask on Layers panel first).

It can vary from country to country, state to state, but your best bet would be to do a subject like Visual Communication and Design.

I'm not 100% clear on what you mean by "upgrade it later". There's no difference (other than price) between the Adobe's "educational license" software and the retail versions.

You can't get Adobe's upgrade plan for software you buy at the special educational price, but the software itself is supposed to be identical to the full version... you don't need to upgrade it, unless a new version comes out, and even then the educational price is generally pretty similar to the cost to upgrade from the previous version.
