Where is God's abode in mind or in heart?
God is not a little mystical ball of energy that zips around here-&-there in multi-lightning speed, as if HE should abide literally within your heart or brain. The Bible says that God exists in 'the heavens of the heavens' (whatever that means); but it probably means that he exists OUTSIDE of what he later himself created, 'the heaven and earth'. (Genesis 1:1)
Since God is eternal, he existed long before the things he created, therefore he exists outside of them; and is in no way bound by the laws of the Universe, which he also invented and created from himself.
Since we are simply 'humans', the Bible explains things in a way so that we as humans can only partially grasp them; using human terms.
This is what the expression really means: -- It's when we accept the CONCEPT of a Creator into our intellect (mind) and into our love (heart), then it can be said that God abides in both the heart and mind. But only if we show evidence of this by living according to the righteous requirements he has placed for mankind.; that it can be said that God abides in our mind and our heart.
Answer:
God is spiritual essence. He has put a 'spirit' in Man which empowers his brain with 'mind-power.' In Scripture, the heart and brain are most times interchangeable as the 'center' of a human being. As such, Jesus told us several times how He is 'IN' the Father and the Father is in Him. For us to become children in the God Family, we must have both of these divine beings in us - begetting us as Christ was physically begotten as a child of God:
John 14:19-21New King James Version (NKJV) Indwelling of the Father and the Son19 "A little while longer and the world will see Me no more, but you will see Me. Because I live, you will live also. 20At that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. 21 He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him."Note: The Scripture speaks of 3 heavens: the sky, the universe, and the highest heaven - the Throne of God or the heavens of the heavens.
Suggest you read all of John chapters 14 through 16 to better understand the 'Helper or Comforter' - God's Holy Spirit, aka the Spirit of Christ within the firstfruits now. Many other Scripture speaks to the spirit within us guiding us and one of my personal favorites is:
Galatians 2:20-21New King James Version (NKJV)20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the lifewhich I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. 21 I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain."

Protestantism is a general category used to describe several Christian religious traditions including Methodists, Presbyterians, Lutherans, and others. Lutheranism is a religious tradition based on the teachings of its founder Martin Luther.
The term "altar vow" is not used in the Catholic Church, the only reference that I can find to it is a quote in a novel from a long time ago where "altar vow" is used to refer to the marriage vows that a man and a woman make before the altar.
Did the Lord say not to touch the communion table?
No he didn't. In fact, the 'communion table' as such did not exist in those times except to say that it was the table at which Christ sat with the twelve disciples at the last supper. In the Catholic Church, however, their theology believes in a 're-sacrifice' of Christ every time mass is said at the altar (communion table) and that Christ is truly and physically present in the consecrated bread and wine. Therefore, to a Catholic, the altar/communion table is sacred and revered. Hence the refusal of some to allow others even to touch it. and hence the reverence (eg a bow or knee-bend known as a genuflection) when approaching it. For most other Christians the communion table is just that - a table. They believe more in the scriptural sacrifice of Christ, that his death on the cross is a-once-and-for-all-for-all-time sacrifice and that any form of 'resacrifice' is sacreligious. They also usually believe that the consecrated bread and wine are a memorial of his death and passion rather than the substance of Christ himself - again, more in line with scripture. Therefore, to most other Christian denominations the altar or communion table has no particular significance nor should it be revered. If you are therefore in most Christian Churches there would be no problem in touching the communion table. However, if in a Catholic Church, whether or not you believe in their doctrines, it might be courteous not to touch it so that you do not offend anyone with strong beliefs in that Catholic doctrine.
There are several denominations that have "Church of Christ" in their name. For example, Church of Christ in Christian Union. However, the church that is described in the New Testament of the Bible, the Church of Christ, is only one church. As a member of the Church of Christ, I can tell you that we believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God which gives clear instructions for salvation. A Christian is one who follows Christ and therefore one must follow His commmands. In John 14:15 Jesus Himself says, "If you love Me, keep My commandments." One of Jesus' commandments was for His apostles to "go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit" Matthew 28:19. Another commandment was to "repent and believe in the gospel" (Mark 1:14). We believe that after hearing the gospel of Jesus, believing it, repenting from past sins, being baptized in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and living a faithful life one can receive the gift of salvation. We have firm beliefs, however we are far from a cult. A cult tries to drive people away from their family and friends through isolation. The Church of Christ encourages Christians to preach the same gospel to everyone that was preached unto them (Galatians 1:8-10) so that others may receive the same salvation for "God is not willing that any should parish but that all should come to repentance" (II Peter 3:9). However, we do not abandon our family or friends who choose not to follow Christ. We continue to love and serve them in hopes that they will see the Light of Christ in us. The Church of Christ does not use brainwashing but encourages, just as the Bible does, knowledge so that members may be educated to "test all things and hold to that which is good" (I Thessalonians 5: 21).
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has also been accused by some people as being a cult. However, I would not say that they have much in common with the Church of Christ because the Church of Christ is built upon the fundamental belief that the Bible is sufficient doctrine for the Church. We have no other books, doctrines, or meetings that add to our beliefs. However the Mormon church uses the book of Mormon and believes that this book is also the word of God. This is a major difference in our fundamental beliefs.
AnswerSome people are uninformed and think their way is the only way so another religion must be wrong to them. No one should say that about any church unless they attend and research the religion first. Even then, some opinions are best left quiet. The Church of Christ isn't the only church that is talked about this way. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormons) is also descriminated against because it is so different from other churches. They too have been called a cult and people swear their members are brain washed, but it is also false. Both of those religions have much in common, probably more than any other Christian religion. It makes sense that the 2 religions are controversial to mainstream Christians. However controversial, it is not right to define it as a cult.
Religious tolerance is a big problem in this world, it continues to be the cause of wars and atrocities.

How many died during the St Bartholomew's Day Massacre?
The estimated death toll from the St. Bartholomew's Day Massacre in France ran from over5,000-30,000. The massacre began on August 23, 1572, which was St. Bartholomew's Day Eve. It was carried out against Huguenots, who were Protestant dissenters against the majority Roman Catholic Church.
The massacre took place in the aftermath of the marriage of the Catholic Marguerite de Valois [May 14, 1553-March 27, 1615] to her second cousin, the Protestant Henry III [December 13, 1553-May 14, 1610] of Navarre.* For that marriage, many leading, prominent, rich and unsuspecting Huguenots had flocked to the largely Catholic Paris. One of the reasons for the massacre's quick, foul victories may have been the suggested involvement of King Charles IX [June 27, 1550-May 30, 1574] and his mother, Queen Catherine de' Medici [April 13, 1519-January 5, 1589].
*He subsequently became King Henry IV of France. He was a rare, beloved monarch whose reputation survived the later French Revolution.
Did christian religion begin in Turkey?
No. Christianity began in Judea. Specifically in Jerusalem.
However it quickly spread to the country we now call Turkey, although in those days it was made of separate countries and states. For example, Ephesus (now in western Turkey) and Galatia (now in central Turkey) were two of many places in Turkey where Christian churches were thriving just 20-30 years or so after Christ's crucifixion, resurrection and ascension. We know this as Paul, in around 50-60 AD wrote letters to these churches that are still to be found in the New Testament of the Bible, indicating that these churches were already established by this time.

Were there books of the Catholic Bible added in and taken out by the Protestants?
The New Testament used by the protestants is the same New Testament that the Christian Church has always used. The Christian Church has always used the same Old Testament that Our Blessed Lord, Jesus Christ, used, which was the Septuagint: the Greek translation of the Old Testament Bible made in the fourth century before Christ and used by most of the Jews in the first century A.D. The Jews who did not accept Jesus as the promised Messiah, in the second century removed the Deuterocanoical books from their Bible as they supported specifically Christian teachings, and are referred to numerous times in the New Testament. Martin Luther fourteen centuries later, when he was making up his own religion, removed these same books on the grounds that the Jews had. The Catholic Church indeed added in many books to the Bible, they are called the New Testament today by all Christians. The only subtractions or additions since then has been Martin Luther mutilating the Old Testament scriptures and adding words to the New Testament to support his novel teachings.

Do people have to thite or its an evangelical scam?
It's a scam. Tithing was an old testament requirement only for certain israelites in certain circumstances. It no longer applies to Jews today and it was never meant for christians at all. Those preachers are abusing an obsolete law for their own financial gain. If any preacher says you must tithe or else you won't achieve salvation, run far, far away.
Do Catholics get along better with Mormons or protestants?
This really is something that is treated on an individual basis and not the relations between denominations as a whole. The Catholic Church certainly has a right to not approve of Mormons or Protestants, as both claim that the Catholic Church has gone astray. The Catholic Church generally has good relations with other denominations and individual Catholic groups work together with both Protestant and Mormon groups on a regular basis. Whether an individual Catholic prefers the company of Protestants or Mormons would be based on his/her individual personality, as they will have many common beliefs with people from both religions.
