Satellite radio can pick up in parking decks due to the presence of metal structures that can reflect and amplify the satellite signals. Additionally, many parking decks are designed with openings that allow for some signal penetration. When a vehicle is parked in a location with partial exposure to the sky, the satellite signal can still be received, although the reception may be weaker compared to open areas.

Solution 1. The easiest fix is an adaptor with a cassette to 3.5 mm jack. You can get these from Tesco and Halford. They cost about £10 and plug into the headphones socket in the iPod and slides into the cassette deck on the car stereo. Solution 2. The alternative is the iPod FM transmitter. These plug into the iPod and transmit what ever is playing on a lower power FM frequency that you can tune in any FM radio to receive. These can be priced from £10 - £30 - you can get these on eBay - either apple branded or generic. Quality is variable

Speeding while pulling trailer.

i have a 95 Spirit and have the same problem. It is getting power to the radio (back lit, and tape player will rewind, but the clock display doesnt work, and the radio doesnt work (which sucks). Sometimes it will turn on when I start my car, but once the car is running, there is 0% chance of the radio coming on, even if I start banging around the radio. THis leads me to believe that is not a loose wire, but something in the ignition? Any input would be appreciated!

I to had the same prob with the radio in a 90 Caravan which also carrys the same radio setup as the Dodge Spirit... its a short in the radio that aventually developes... theres nothing wrong with wiring... i took the radio setup out of my 92 Spirit (cause trans went out) and put it into the Caravan and still works fine, so its not a wiring prob... just a prob with the radio itself.

To increase the gain and directivity in the direction of interest the lengths of the legs are increased in proportin. This results in sidelobes cancellation.The major lobes added together. The radiation pattern obtained is much sharper.

The drawback of v antenna is that it provides stronger minor lobes which results in wastage of power in the undesired direction.

The intuitive picture of FM is a process of changing the frequency of the

radio wave in some fashion to correspond to the information wave. That's

why it's called "Frequency Modulation".

So when there's no sound on the FM station, let's say, the frequency is exactly

the number that shows on the radio dial ... let's say 101.7 MHz for example.

But when there's information being added to the radio station's signal, such as the

sound of voice or music, it's done by rapidly swinging the frequency of the signal

above and below 101.7 ... something like through the range of 101.625 to 101.775 MHz.

Your FM receiver knows how to read these up-and-down frequency swings, and

how to use them to reconstruct sounds.

The "center frequency" is the frequency of the radio signal when there's no

sound added to it and it's not being wiggled up and down. It's the number

on the radio dial, and it's also called the "carrier frequency".

Why they use high frequency?

higher frequencies mean more space to store information in the wave itself.

But, not too high that its amplitude is tiny enough to trespass the ionosphere solar particles, leaking out into the space.

In fact, lower frequencies can travel longer distances. But there is also a solution for long distance high frequency waves, called Skywave (keep this word in mind if you are interested to be a radio amateur).

Skywave is cheaper and more effective, normally travelling a distance of 1000km at least (it's far). For example, TV broadcasting use skywave technology.

But, for lighter application usage that transmit very little information, such as atomic clock synchronisation. The application produce a tick in each seconds, therefore bursting a small piece of radiowave into the atmosphere in every second. This 1 hertz, very low frequency can achieve a coverage of the entire north America continent.

Why don't you produce a free mobile internet technology by blending low and high frequencies to turn out a sustainable (low enough to cover much area; high enough to store adequate information in the wave itself, maybe this will provide "Everywhere Internet", even for the third world countries) information transfer welfare for humankind? If you be the founder of it, be prepared to proceed to the heaven. Do you get it?
