Which color power wire should you use for a stock radio in a Dodge Magnum?

For a stock radio installation in a Dodge Magnum, typically, the yellow power wire is used for constant power (battery) while the red wire is used for the ignition power (accessory). Always refer to the vehicle's wiring diagram for specific color codes, as variations can exist depending on the model year. It's also wise to use a multimeter to confirm connections before finalizing the installation.

What is the energy of a radio station that broadcasts at 1120 kilohertz on the Am?

The frequency on the radio dial doesn't tell us the power the station is using

to transmit. There may be an AM radio station at any spot on the dial that is

transmitting at any power level between, maybe, 10 watts and 50,000 watts.

That decision is made when the radio station applies for its license, and the

license to operate is granted.

How to make an electronic device which will find any electronic device around it.?

Just use my subwoofer. It buzzes whenever anything electronic gets near it.

Alternatively, get an AM radio, and tune it to a space where no-one is broadcasting. Most devices emit a load of electronic noise. I have found that it can detect most electrical devices, though it often requires the device to be active - something like a light will not be detected (you might hear an AC hum but not much else), whereas something like a computer will because there is a constant amount of 'change' in the noise emitted. A device can locate another device or parts or items if the item to be located has a RF transmitter embedded into the construction. The finder device must be a narrow band receiver to detect that particular signature of the transmitting device.

What is the equation for radio station power and range?

The range of a power station is worked out by multiplying 1.25 by square root of the mast size

Do do you remove the dashboard to repair the radio in a 2001 Buick Century?

Hey Rene==No!! Just take off the knobs and under them are nuts to remove. Also there are several brackets under the dash to take loose. Good luck, Joe

CommentI found earlier today that you *do* need to remove the dash. Here's how:

1) Open the passenger door. On the part of the dash that is against the door, there is a fuse panel; give it a good tug to remove it (it's just got a couple of clips holding it on). Looking directly at that panel, there is a screw on the left, just next to the vent. Unscrew that.

2) There is screw underneath everything on the same side, about where a passenger would put her right foot. Remove that one too (it's a little tough to see). Open the glove compartment. Give the panel that was held in by that screw a tug up near the top, it is held in by a pair of clips.

3) On the driver's side, underneath the steering wheel is another panel. Give it a good tug up near the top, there are a couple of clips. Don't bother taking the whole thing off, just leave the top edge hanging loose.

4) Underneath the ash tray are two screws, remove them. Give the top part a good tug to release it. There will be a wire running from above into that, just leave it alone and set it on the floor.

5) In the same place as you found the fuse box on the passenger side, there is a panel on the driver's side. Give it a hard tug, it has three clips that may not want to come off. If they fall off of the panel, they will be easy to retrieve, as they will either stick in the dash, or fall down to where the driver would put his feet.

6) Lower the steering wheel as far as it can go. Insert your key and turn the car on battery mode (you don't need to start it). Press on the brake and bring the gear shifter down as far as it can go. If you are on any sort of incline, set your parking brake before this, you don't want to roll. Once you've done all that, make sure your glove compartment is open. Starting over at the right-most vent on that long panel that covers the radio, give the long panel a good tug. It is secured by many clips, just keep tugging and moving your way across. You will need to squash it a bit as you maneuver it around the steering wheel, but you should be able to remove the entire thing without too much trouble.

7) Now you have exposed the radio, it should be held in place by two or three screws. Just remove them and carefully pull it out. There are two cords attached in back, when you are able to reach in, just pull them out. The wide one comes out easily, the thin one (the antenna cord) takes a bit more pulling.

I hope this is helpful, ~Hegh

Is Frank Truatt and Souzie Miller married?

It is not clear that they are married, but they do still work together at WTBQ in Warwick, NY, where Souzie (formerly from Australia) is the General Manager and Frank hosts the morning show (he also owns the station).

I want to set the record straight. I am not sure who this person is who is posting this misinformation but I want to set it right. First, Souzie moved back to Europe, we are not together nor have we been for quite some time and she has not worked at the station for months. And let me add that I am in a committed relationship as well so whomever this is that keeps posting these untruths, please cease. Frank Truatt

Which waves would have a longer wave length those with 56Hz frequency or 2 MHz frequency?

Wavelength at 2 MHz = 149.896 meters

Wavelength at 56 Hz = 5,353.437 meters

Lower frequency --> longer wavelength.

Higher frequency --> shorter wavelength

When you multiply (frequency) times (wavelength), the result is always the same number.

How to turn radio of with the engine on a 05 corsa?

If you want the radio to go on when you start the engine, and go off when you take the key out of the ignition after turning the engine off, read on. Turn the radio on.

There should be a "settings" button. (top left of the volume knob I think)

Press it repeatedly until you find a setting "ignition logic".

Press the Volume knob (it acts as an "enter" at this point, IIRC).

The display show now show the choice "yes" or "no".

Using the volume knob, rotate it to select "Yes".

Press the volume knob, and you should be sorted.

Why vertical polarized wave is preferred over horizontal polarized wave in mobile radio communication?

1). Reflection of vertically polarized waves is less efficient, so vertical polarization is less susceptible

to multipath fading due to ground-based reflection.

2). In order to avoid directional effects due to the radiation pattern of the receiving antenna

(losing the mobile signal when the car turns a corner), the antenna wants to be vertical.

That generally means vertical electrical polarization.

How do you run an amplifier off a normal car radio?

Normal car radio is no different than aftermarket. Determine the output wires on the radio, take them into the amp and the output from the amp back to the wires going to the speakers. Normal car speakers are not going to take the output of the amp if you raise it much.
