Can any new radio be used in a 1984 Monte Carlo cl model car?

yes you can put any kind of radio and speakers in any type of car or truck no matter how old or how new the vehicle is or radio

You may need to do a little research, and find the correct wire adapter. You will also need an adapter to make the stereo fit in the bay, but they are usually quite inexpensive, and look nice.

The biggest downside to the Monte Carlo (and other G-bodies) is the rear speakers, which are 4"x10". That's an odd size, but high quality aftermarket speakers are available. G-bodies do have a nice sized trunck, and there is a perfect spot for a subwoofer enclosure right behind the rear seat.

Which of the following frequencies falls in the range of rf waves used by commercial radio broadcasting stations a 60 hz b 6000 hz c 600000 hz d 6000000 hz?

The third choice on the list ... 600,000 Hz ... is the same as 600 KHz.

That's the "600" (or "60") displayed near low end of the AM radio dial.

The first two items on the list are not used for radio communication:

-- 60 Hz is the frequency of the AC power that comes out of the

household electrical outlet (in North America).

-- 6,000 Hz is in the audible range. Current at that frequency is present

in every earphone, loudspeaker, and local telephone line.

The last item on the list ... 6,000,000 Hz or 6 MHz ... is in the international

broadcast bands. It can be tuned on any "short wave" radio.

Is it impolite to listen to your radio at the office by using headphones?

It depends on where you work. Wearing headphones would imply that you don't want to be bothered by anyone and prefer your own little world--that leads to comments like "He/She is not a team player" and other office snarking. If a worker in my office was sitting at their desk with headphones on, they would be told not to and for a second offense fired in about 5,4,3,2,1,............OF course I am in the US where business does anything it wants to employees.

This is where it depends entirly on the business and your boss if he lets you then its fine. Some business let you listen to a raidio if its kept low but like in my case i listen to a mix up punk and heavy metal so in my case i was actually told to wear headphones by my boss (no matter how low you play it Misfits, Blitzkid, and Trivium allwasy seem to bother someone) but keep them low enouph to still hear when people where talking near me. I was "team leader" at my last job so i wouldn't say it hurts any kind of team workmanship and if i was wearing them it never stoped people from talking or shooting ideas with me.

What does the clock radio do?

The clock radio was a very useful invention: most sources attribute it to James F. Reynolds, sometime in the mid-1940s. It was both a clock and a radio: it not only told the time, but it enabled the person to set an alarm to be woken up by their favorite radio station. Alarm clocks already existed, but they beeped or buzzed; now you could awaken to the news or hear your favorite songs.

I'm 95% certain that it will. I have had three different Explorers (all 3rd generation: 02 - 05) and the stereos have been interchangable. To be 100% sure, call your local Ford dealership and ask for the parts department. They should be able to give you the right answer.

Do ipods have FM radio?

The iPad does have a Broadcom chip, which is capable of receiving and transmitting FM signals. This means that not only is the iPad capable of listening to FM radio, but it will be able to work like an iTrip, so you can listen to music in your car. It is important to note, however, that there is no software (app) for this yet, but Apple is currently developing an FM Radio app. The only question is: Will there be an app for transmitting FM?

What is the most popular radio station in Arizona?

This is a difficult question to answer because the popularity of radio stations is surveyed based on "markets"-- also called cities (and their surrounding areas). So, the Phoenix market has its own ratings, as does the Tucson market, and other large and medium sized cities in the state. There is no one station that is the most popular station for the entire state.

That said, Phoenix is the largest market in Arizona, and in early 2012, KOOL-FM was number one in the Arbitron ratings (classic hits). And in the second largest market, Tucson, the number one station was KIIM-FM (country). It should also be noted that certain stations, while they may not be number one in the over all ratings for their market, score very well with certain age groups. Thus, a city may have a very popular station that is all-sports, or all-talk or plays music for a particular ethnic minority group. In Phoenix, for example, KFYI is an AM station which broadcasts news and conservative talk; like many stations with this format, it has a very loyal audience and is very popular with older listeners. And similarly, KHOT-FM is a station that broadcasts Spanish-language music and news especially for Mexican-Americans; it too has a loyal audience of people who tune in specifically for the kind of programming it provides.

Can you paint radio speakers?

that any paint applied to the suspended 'cone' of the speaker will ruin its sound.

When listening to a radio station broadcasting at 101 MHz which is 101 million waves per second. You wonder how long the wavelength of these waves is. What is the answer and how does it compare to...?

The frequency of 101 MHz corresponds to a wavelength of 2.97 meters.

To find the wavelength of any other frequency, divide 300,000,000 by the frequency.

The quotient is the wavelength in meters.

-- Center of AM radio band . . . 1 MHz . . . 300 meters

-- Cellphone band . . . 900 MHz . . . 33 centimeters

-- One GPS satellite frequency . . . 1,575.42 MHz . . . 19 centimeters

-- Microwave oven . . . 2.45 GHz (billion per second) . . . 12.2 centimeters

-- Blue light . . . 666,666 GHz . . . 450 nm (billionths of a meter)

How can I hook up an amp and a sub to a stock stereo with no rca jacks without buying a new head unit?

Well if you got any old "RCA" cables what i would do is cut the end off of one and wire it to the back speakers and then you plug them in to the amp and then hook up the power supply for your amp and then connect your subs and that should work???

NOTE: THE ABOVE SOLUTION WILL NOT WORK AND WILL DAMAGE YOUR AMP!!!

A typical Head Unit will push between 10 and 50 watts to each speaker, while the RCA inputs on your Amplifier will only take about 3.5 watts. In Stereo World, this is called "Input Voltage." You need a device that will lower the amount of power coming out of your Head Unit, so that your amplifier can receive an acceptable amount of incoming signal. In short, DOING THE ABOVE WILL ABSOLUTELY FRY YOUR AMP.

What you are looking for, friend, is commonly called a "Knockdown," or a "Step-Down-Converter."

This is a device that wires directly to your Head Unit IN PLACE OF a speaker (READ: you have to sacrifice a speaker chanell to do this!), and lowers the speaker signal from the head unit to "Input Voltage" level, so as not to fry your amp (hence the term "Knockdown"). This unit will be about 3"x3"x6" and will have RCA outputs on the back of it to hook up to your amp. Find one here:

PS: Any Mom and Pop Stereo Shop should be familiar with this item, and should have some in stock, they are very commonly used in your situation, and are not new to the industry.

How do you unlock ford radio with ten showing in display?

It is easy to unlock a Ford radio code if it shows 'TEN'.

Turn the radio on so you see the 'TEN' message. Then hold the following buttons together: 'SELECT' and 'MAN'.

Now you have ONE additional attempt to enter the code. Be careful because if you enter a wrong code the radio will show 'TEN+' and you will have to take it to a decoding specialist that will re-program the internal chip.
