How does body kit make a car safer?
I would say the opposite is true. I've installed a body kit on my car, and I had to remove the bumper reinforcement bars from front and back.. The only way the body kit would fit.
I would suggest that you be a responsible and conscientious driver all the more, as you lose a degree of protection.. Other then that, they look good if done well enough.

Renault modus service light reset?
The reset is on the end of the windscreen wiper stick, holding in the end on one setting?? after which you have turn off ignition lock car doors then open, should be off. Sorry don't know it all. As above..... however don't need to jump out of car, lock etc. If service spanner on - toggle using Wiper end switch until you reach the service mileage screen - press and hold down until it resets (I think goes to 12k) - spanner light will be still on...... Repeat this process again and voila.... spanner light disappears. Remember though, you still need to service the car or else it will go bang eventually! Hope this helps

When to change cam belt Renault Espace?
Cam-belt change on Espace III (1998- 2003) is 70,000 miles. The car has a G8T turbo diesel engine. You may be asking about the newer Espace IV model.... not sure about that one. I'm sure your dealer will tell you (take a deep breath before they give you the cost!)
Although the service mileage is 70,000 it is quite safe to let it go to100,00 miles which apart from saving miles/money is easier to remember. It can cost between £200 and £300 and is not rocket science. However if you go to 140,000 you will break the belt. This will break cam followers and may bend valves. If you go that route expect to pay nearly £1000.
Incidentally every belt change it is a good idea to change the water pump at the same time. It will add only £50 to the bill and G8T turbos have a habit of having water pumps go about 150,000.
Later Espace 2.2 (mine is 2005) is supposed to have a cam-belt after 5 years. Mine has only done 29000 miles and my local - non Renault - garage says don't bother. Out of interest I checked with the Renault garage who quoted £710! With discount that would be £576. I don't think I will bother. Incidentally when our Fiat 2.8 motor home reached 5 years we were advised by the caravan magazine to get it done although, like the Espace, the mileage was low.
The Renault Kangoo key fob does not prise apart but slides apart. Push the fob in the direction of the arrow whilst holding the key blade tight and it should slide apart.
Why does my Renault megane have a water leak in front passenger footwell?
because the drain pipe from the sunroof is blocked. this is a very common problem as it has happened to both mine and my brothers megane's more than once. It can easily be sorted pumping the pipe with a high pressured pump. the correct type fitting will be needed. the type of fitting that is use on an air bed is fine. you do not even need to take the drainage pipe out if u can reach it. if you do try to take the drainage pipe out, then please note that it is permanently fixed to the bottom, so you could do damage trying. The drainage pipes, should you be wondering, are positioned in the front two corners of the sunroof (they may not be very well visible). The passenger side tends to be affected more as this is the side which the gutter is in, and dirt blocks the drainage hole at the bottom.
How do you remove the door panel of a Renault Scenic?
This is for the Scenic II
Tools: two kind of * shape screwdrivers one size 20 and one size 25, one small screwdriver (something like we use for electric outlets and one big with large flat head.
There are 3 screws: one is at the botom of the panel, one is under the door opener lever (hidden under the plastic cap, you can remove it with a small sharp screwdriver), and the third is inside the window switch plastic tray also covered by a small plastic plug (at first looks like can not be remooved but it can just use the proper small, sharp screwdriver).
Removing the window switch:
Once you are done with the screws you can start to remove the switch. Start to lift it with a wide scewdriver at the end which is closer to the rear of the car as the other side has a long plastic part holding the part under the panel. It should now come out and leave it hanging on the cable for now.
Removing the door handle:
Here you should start at the end closer to the front of the car and turn it to your direction. Behind is connected with a rectangular plastic to the bowden. You can band it with the small screwdriver in the long shaped holes and it will come off so the bowden cable will stay inside the door and you can completely remove the handle.
Now you arrived to the hardest part. First remove the upper part of the panel. I started at the left upper corner. It has several plastic nails and it takes a lot of power to take it out. One by one it will come off but not easy. I tought I broke it but it came off ater all in one piece. There will be one more screw to take out (size 20) right the one behind the window switch.
The lower part of the panel just has to be lifted and it is held by some kind of `claws`. So just lift it and it will all come out.
Good luck!
Ivan.

How do you reset the check emission message on your Renault scenic 2004?
I tried a lot of tricks, but none helped. I had to go to a Renault garage and they were able to reset the message. Sorry, but there is no easy way.
Renault can reset the message, but the reason for the message must be gone. Otherwise the message will return in ½ a day.
My Renault is from 2004 and have 100000 km on the clock. The message check emission appeared on the screen. I used the internet and together with a Renault garage (cost 55 £ for one hour) we discovered that the EGR valve was broken. (Cost 700 £ to change).
700 £ are a lot of money, so I tried to clean the EGR valve. Mounted on the EGR valve is a EGR solenoid. I took that one out and cleaned it. It was filthy. I went back to Renault to make them reset the fault, but it only worked for ½ a day.
I ordered a new valve in Germany (½ price compared to Denmark) and am waiting to receive the valve and some items.
Hopefully I will receive the valve next weekend and I will let you know how this went.

Last comment: Sorry if there are any typing errors.
The engine light usually means a fault has been logged in the vehicles computer.Contary to what some people believe that it is a service light and the vehicle needs a service. It will need to be connected to a fault code reader to examine the history the socket is normally behind the ashtray in the middle of the console.
