After lifting the headrest to the uppermost position, use a paperclip to push in on the headrest guide bracket on the side that doesn't have the push button on it. There is a tiny hole that you have to slide the paperclip in.

I don't know if you will get this, but there has now been a recall issued for the 2004 Saturn Ion regarding failures in the power steering. Contact your Saturn dealer; they may be providing a free repair.

Low of power steering fluid is one possible cause. I urge you to have this looked at by a professional. Loosing your power stering in a turn can cause a serious accident. Do not ignore this as it can be very dangerous. Funny cause Ion's have electric steering and have no fluid resevoir. The problem is in the motor unit, and it is not seerviveable. If its a manual trans, on the bottom of the knob it looks like its split into two different pieces, turn the bottom piece counter-clock wise ( this may take some force but it will turn) once that's off the top piece will pull off.

If it's a manual transmission car it's the brake fluid. It uses a hydraulic clutch which uses the brake fluid to lubricate. On my 2003 it's on the right side at the rear of the engine compartment.

i believe you trouble is ..........sand...you have to get every little piece of sand off the o-ring and the groove...good luck Also make sure you are using approved Lube. Vaseline can cause a ring to loose its form and cause leaks.

Gas Cap is not on tight, or the seal leaks and you need to replace the cap.

buy battery terminal lifter tool from auto parts store or rent one at AutoZone for free. 1. pry off caps on wipers, there's a little notch that will let you fit a screwdriver. Next loosen nuts with 13mm wrench. 2. use lifter tool to force wiper arms off splined shaft, they come off pretty quick and easy. 3.On plastic cowl remove two center bolts and also two plastic outer hold-downs. pry up plastic cowl, push it up underneath the backside of the hood to hold it in place. 4. loosen both nuts on pivot points where wiper arms were. disconnect electrical socket on wiper motor. 5. wiggle outer arms loose and pull transmission out. three screws to loosen wiper motor from transmission. 6. installation is reverse of removal.

check to see if there is a red button in the fuse box next to the battery. if there is push that and it should reset the oil change light.

Inside the trunk there are two black knobs - one for each side of the seats - they are located along the topside of the trunk. You simply pull on them to pop the seats open.
