Can scabies be pass through the mouth?

Yes. Scabies can be passed through the mouth, as I know first hand about the capabilities of scabies, and their resistance to permethrin/lindane. These mites are brutal, they will move through your face, and once they are on your lip - they will go over and down into your mouth. WATCH OUT, if you do see this happen... TREAT IMMEDIATELY, as I learned the hard way (still infected) and I am loosing my teeth now!!! If you can believe this, the scabie (maybe more then one) went over my lip into my gum, I seen it happen I cut my gum open with a exacto trying to stop it, but it went into a front tooth, and I now have a large hole (4mm) in a circular shape in one of my front teeth. I have crusted scabies which has been in me for almost 1 year now, I have had 11 mis-diagnosed doctor visits, two were the hospital! I am living within a nightmare. My scabies came from a stray cat.... I still let him in cause hes cold.... But I know he has scabies too, animal scabies shouldn't effect humans? But I clearly got it VERY bad!!!

Itching, also known as pruritus, starts with some kind of external stimuli, including bugs, dust, clothing fibers and hair. Like tickling, itching is a built-in defense mechanism that alerts your body to the potential of being harmed. In this case, it might be the potential of being bit by a bug. When the stimuli lands on your skin, it may not bother you at first, but soon it will begin to rub back and forth across your skin. Once the hair or dust scratches your skin's surface layer, receptors in the dermis of the skin will become irritated. In a split second, these receptors send

Why does your head itch?

Either lice, dandruff, or psoriasis of the scalp. Your head could itch also if the skin is dry, if you are sensitive to your shampoo, if you have lice or other bugs, if you have a rash, if you scalp got sunburned and is healing, or if you wear a wool hat.

Folicullitus can also cause your scalp to itch. But if this is the cause of the itching, you will likely notice thinning hair and occasional bumps on the scalp. If you notice any of these, you need to see your dermatologist for treatment since this will cause baldness. But the good news is it can be easily treated.

I stopped taking Citalopram in March and I'm still itching. I took some antihistamines and steroids and it's STILL going. How long does an allergic reaction to citalopram last?

i take two antidepressants. i ran out of citalopram and didn't get it refilled for a month. when i started taking it again, i experienced a very unusual type of itching. the interesting thing is that this itching had previously been occurring for about a year, but just recently had stopped. i have run a couple of anecdotal tests, and i am convinced the citalopram is responsible. the itching comes from inside my feet and fingers. it comes in pulses that subside. episodes last from 15 to 60 minutes. the itching always starts when i am experiencing an upset mood - fear, anxiety, annoyance, anger. scratching does not help beyond the immediate moment. it can contribute to lack of sleep, and daytime concentration on the outside world when an episode occrus. in all my life, this is the strangest reaction to a drug. Even though many years ago, i did a little LSD. now to tell my psychiatrist (we had discussed the coincidence of the itching and mood).

Does urine stop pain in bee stings?

No..that's an old wifes tale. Try some insect bite creams from the RX drug store.

Answer

Never heard of that. I have heard of making a paste of tenderizer and a small amount of water to put on a sting. Also baking soda paste.

Absolutely! It is not a wife's tale at all. When I was young and we were working out in the woods and got stung, the first thing we did is pee on it. I think it is the amonia in the urine. These other guys that answered are city people. It is country people that know about this home remedy.

Will uv light kill scabies?

I don't know, but i've had it with these mites and started treatment this morning with a Verilux UV Light. I had been using the light on clothing, bed and dog beds.
Spent three weeks on the Dermisil.com sulfur soap and Tree Oil mix, and it spread near everywhere. The one thing that did work very well was soaking my feet and hands in the Sulfur - Tree Oil solution. I had gotten to the point of crusty raised calluses that cracked open. Very painful on knuckles, finger joints, foot heels and even the bottom of my feet. Those cleared up quickly though with the Dermisil soaking treatment. The full body bath though seemed to spread the mites everywhere. And yes, i did augment the bath treatment with the frequent and direct application of a Dermisil sudsing mix to the outbreak areas.

Another thing i'm trying that is showing some positive (but painful) results is scratching vigorously the raised outbreaks with a rough soaked in 90% alcohol. Yes, it really stings. But if the the sore is open, the little bastards die, and the outbreak dries up without spreading. Not fun, but that's where i'm at.

One thing is that things have gotten far worse since i started treatment. Initially the outbreak was only confined to my feet and toes. Kind of like athletes foot. And in fact, i had great success treating the itch with tinactin fungal spray. This went on for years, but it was no big deal. Something changed recently. Might have something to do with a the fact that we took in a rescue dog. Adorable, but had a mite infection on his toes that he licked raw. He's on Tea Oil and Chinese Hoe Hin White Flower Balm. Seems to work well, but symptoms return a week or so after treatment is discontinued.

Early test results on UV light indicate a drying out and shriveling effect on the outbreak areas i treated. Length of exposure was less than five seconds. I'm hopeful.
