There several eyelet setting kits on the market with complete instructions, some of the newer eyelet kits are not as effective as the older ones, the most common problem is the wrong size hole for the size eyelet, what ever size eyelet you use, use the proper size hole (most kits have hole dies for that size eyelet) and follow included instructions.

Unbleached paper is the natural colour of the pulp that has been used to the paper. If the paper was made from wood, then it will be a light brown/beige. If the paper was made from other scraps, then it will be that colour.

No, rubber cement is not safe to put on your skin, it may seem fine at first, but within a few minutes it burns and if not washed off, burns worse. The enzymes in the cement eat at your skin and can leave scars. I know from personal experience.

If your leather photo album cover is getting sticky, it's probably not leather, but instead vinyl. The best way to get it less sticky is to us some spay cooking oil (remove or cover pictures/pages with a gallon sized zip bag). Rub the oil in and let is soak in, repeat as necessary.

Thinning Rubber Cement
To thin rubber cement, use ... rubber cement thinner! The brand I use is called Bestine, but most any brand will work, comes in a small tin, available at office supply stores (usually) and art supply stores (always). I usually use two parts thinner to one part cement, just pour the thinner into the cement container (you might have to pour off some of the rubber cement) and mix well. If you leave the cement container lid off for a long time, you may need to add more thinner as it is very volatile. I thin the cement down so that it flows more smoothly and spreads out nicely - but with the thinned stuff you do need to make two coats, letting dry between. Also, DON'T use the thinner around any fires, cigarettes, etc., as it is extremely flammable!!! And use good ventilation as the fumes are not good for you.
