No. It can actually help it. Vaseline creates a protective layer on the skin and does NOT clog pores. It also it known to heal wounds and acne scars faster. Vaseline is probably the cheapest, most effective moisterizer there is today. Ignore the expensive name brand products you see today. Treat your acne with natural products as well such as raw honey, lemon juice, lavender oil, etc. BP is a effective treatment for acne, but cases the skin to severely dry out and cause early wrinkles. I would NOT recommend BP for the skin whatsoever. If you do choose to use it, use the lowest percent. Stay away from 10% and 2.5%.

What is psoriasis treatment and what does it do?

The most common sign of psoriasis is a psoriasis plaque, a raised, red skin patch covered by a silvery-white coating. Eight out of 10 people with psoriasis have plaques. These patches can form anywhere on your skin but are most likely to show up on your knees, elbows, lower back, and scalp. You may have several patches that join together to form a big patch. Plaques are itchy, but resist scratching them because scratching can make them become thicker.

In at least half of the people who have psoriasis, the scalp is affected. Scalp psoriasis can range from mild, dandruff-like scaling to crusty plaques that extend beyond your hairline to your forehead or neck. This type of psoriasis can be very itchy. Using a medicated shampoo may help with scalp psoriasis. As many as half of all people with psoriasis experience nail changes caused by the condition. Changes in your nails may include pitting (holes), alterations in color and shape, thickening, and separation of the nail from the nail bed. About one in twenty people with psoriasis will have painful, stiff joints. This type of joint pain and swelling is called psoriatic arthritis. In many cases psoriatic arthritis affects only the fingers and toes. If you develop psoriatic arthritis, you will almost certainly experience nail changes. In rare cases, this form of arthritis can be severe and affect the joints in your spine as well.

Psoriasis does not appear to directly cause any of these diseases, but it does put you at higher risk for developing them. Studies show that having psoriasis increases your risk of stroke and diabetes by about 40 percent. If you are 30 years old and you have severe psoriasis, your chances of having a heart attack are tripled. Take steps to lower your risk and protect your health by eating a heart-smart diet, getting regular exercise, and controlling your weight. Having psoriasis can be stressful. Studies show that people with psoriasis may have higher rates of depression and anxiety.

Why are pimples formed?

Pimples happen when you whenever you touch your face! Young women go through many hormone changes (especially when they are about to start their period and even during their period.) As the young women get older their hormones keep changing, but the pimples won't come as often. Oil skin is another reason or if a young woman works in a dusty workplace. Every night you should wash your face with good old soap (gentle soap) and water and use a toner on a cotton swab and wipe your whole face. You can get toner for oily or dry skin. Try to stay with natural facial creams for your skin. Ponds (cheap) is a good one, but also Health Food Stores carry some good products.

How was scurvy treated in 1749?

In Great Britain, sailors were given limes to eat - when aboard long-distance sailing vessels. Thus, they were called "Limeys". The vitamin C in limes prevented scurvy - as this is a disease which results from vitamin C deficiency.

Nowadays, just eating some citrus fruits and/or taking vitamin C supplements prevent scurvy from occurring.

Scurvy is very rare - in the United States, today. It does occur, however, in less developed parts of the world, especially in Africa.

What natural solution to remove acne dark spot in the face?

I feel your pain. I had or should I say I still kind of have bad acne and for some reason, when I DON'T pop them, they scar and leave a dark spot.

Anyways, I went to a dermatologist and all they really say is that it'll fade over time. That is true but I'm sure you don't want it there for a few years.

Go on a 3 step face wash system. you should already be on one. Everyone should. By 3 step I mean: wash, toner, moisturizer. At least once a day and 2 if possible. This will fade away the spot and even the tone of the rest of your face too. I recommend Aveno. Not expensive and very effective.

1 Wet your face and scrub it with the face wash (pay attention to the dark spot). I keep mine in the shower and do it when I shower in the morning.

2 Dry your face with a towel (your face must be dry for the toner and the toner is your biggest daily fighter against dark spots).

Apply the toner all over your face and let it AIR DRY (I do this after I'm out of the shower and getting dressed.

3 After the toner air dries on your face, apply some moisturizer

I'd say you can get rid of that spot within half a year (really good) and by that time, you'll have beautiful skin too.

EVERY month or two, you can do a peel to help get rid of some skin layers.

What is the best lotion to stop the itch?

If you are talking about itchy hands or legs or face, try shea butter. There is a lotion from St. Ives called Shea butter with oatmeal that is inexpensive and a good start. If it is worse than that and the itch you are talking about is somewhere else, then keep your clothes clean and change the soap you are washing your clothes in or do double rinses in your washer to keep clothes clean. Hygiene is important for itching problems.

You may also have allergies. If you eat something and seem to get itchy soon afterward trying eliminating that for a while and if the itch goes away you know you are allergic. If it persists, then go see a dermatologist.

How does Eczema start?

What color is dandruff?

Dandruff is your skin, esp. from the head, flaking away from your body. I don't know for sure, but I think no matter what color your race is, when the skin cells die and flake off, they are white. Now, if the skin is moist and shows your race color, then most likely, you have to go get your head looked at, because I can't tell if that's a hammer sticking out of your skull and skin is hanging down on your shoulders...ewww, yuck.

How do you get rid of large under skin pimple?

While the direct cause of pimples is unknown, Brown University Health Education explains that hormones known as androgens and a person's genetics may play a very large role. Pimples develop when oil and bacteria enter your pores. Within the pore, the bacteria continue to grow, trapping the oil. This process can occur just below the surface of your skin or deep within. Getting rid of a pimple deep under the skin requires the help of a warm compress to soften the plug and draw it to the surface.

Step 1Dampen a washcloth with warm water. Squeeze the washcloth to remove excess water. Step 2Fold the washcloth in quarters and place it over the affected area. Allow the warm compress to rest on your skin for about 15 minutes to open your pore and help draw the trapped oil and bacteria to the surface. Step 3Repeat the process several times a day. Within two to three days, the heat from the warm compresses should bring the deep pimple to a head. The oil and bacteria will then seep out of the pimple, relieving pressure and reducing redness.

Why are my feet itching at night only?

This sounds like peripheral neuropathy (nerve pain in the extremities) that can be caused by all sorts of different things such metabolic or endocrine disorders like diabetes with high blood sugar, or alcoholism and the vitamin deficiencies it causes. It can also be related to repeated stress injury in sports, vascular damage or disease, toxins or gout, connective tissue disorders or chronic inflammation, infections or immune problems, or just be inherited from your family. Not to scare you but some cancers pop up with this symptom though it is more rare than other explanations.

You mentioned scoliosis. If it is related to your scoliosis, it might be due to a pinched nerve, connective tissue disorder, or inflammation. Are you diabetic? If so you really need to be aware that very high blood sugar damages nerves and the feet are ravaged by diabetes. Blood sugar control and weight loss are very important for diabetics. Exercise is important in nearly any case.

Peripheral neuropathy is often worse at night. In your case it might not be bad enough yet for you to notice it during the daytime, or it might be due to the position you are in when you sleep- which makes me think it might be due to a pinched nerve given your mention of scoliosis.
